This is becoming my favorite Costco even though there is a closer one to my house. You ask why - because when I purchased a case of different varietal of red wines and accidentally dropped the whole case as I was loading the wines into my car, Costco replaced every broken and spilled wines without any hassle! And yes, as a wine associate on occasions, I can definitively say that Costco has a great selection of table wines and at great prices! For all you wine snobs, you are missing out, really! Today, I visited Costco again to get "two things, water and that gourmet roasted nuts for Chris" my hubby said to me. As a favor to my darling hubby and spoiled rotten scientist who still lives at home for a son (yes, we prefer it that way), so I went. By that time I finished checking out and the cashier told me my total was $331.86, I was like "huh" and "oh-oh!". How did I end up with a bunch of stuff when all I really needed was a couple of cases of water and maybe a tin of roasted nuts. Well, I like this place so much I was picking all kinds of stuff like an electric toothbrush, a case of wines (Cab Sav, Meritage & other red blends), socks, a pack of Dove soaps, a couple of bags of Kale salad, avocados and I don't what else but I'm sure I need them(haha). Because I had a load on my cart I didn't realize that I would need to load them all in my small SUV with a golfer's elbow in tow! After I paid and as I pushed the cart to my car, I saw one of the Costco associates pushing empty carts closer to the store. I asked him if he would be kind enough to help me load my stuff into my car - I never asked except today because my left arm is hurt (from golfing too much!) as my Doctor told me it was a golfer's elbow and I should lay off of it until it got better - but Simael said yes, and with a gentle smile he loaded the water and other heavy stuff into my car even while I tried to help with the small ones, he told me he's got it! Simael not only helped but he also put a good face to this Costco and just solidified what I already know of their excellent customer service! I told him to have a nice night and he told me with that gentle smile, that after he gets off work from Costco, he was heading out to DC to help his Dad with construction job that night! Wow, what a great spirit! Makes you want to be a better person...It's this kind of folks that give this Costco excellent business reputation! read more

While CostCo is its own special kind of hell, the Leesburg location rates as purgatory. I mean, you're still at Costco and everyone in the parking lot is driving an SUV they are using as a battering ram to get a slightly better parking spot. However, I moved here from Alexandria, where I frequented the Pentagon City Costco - which is likely where Hitler ended up after he killed himself. Anyway. Leesburg Costco is much more civilized, although it lacks some of the awesome restaurant-style items. (Example: no massive rolls of parchment paper.) It isn't nearly as crowded as Pentagon City or even Sterling. The gas station is awesome. Most people are too thick to realize it doesn't matter what side you pull up on - the pump can service both sides of your car. Thus, it's super easy to find a short line of clever folks and get your gas for about 00.25$ cheaper per gallon than Ashburn. read more

Definitely is the best place for shopping, almost everything you need for home and personal stuff

Costco is great for buying meat, produce, some spices that I use a lot, some electronics (definitely not computers), and snacks. My only complaint is the flow in and out of the store. Going in, people have to go through people exiting the store, and when exiting you have to go through people going in and trying to get carts. You feel like a fish trying to swim upstream. read more

I only go here for Dr Pepper and GAS. Recently thanks to Gas Buddy App on my phone I found out that I'm paying for a membership to get the same price gas as a gas station down the street that does not require a membership fee. Then I went to both Costco's in the area a total 3 times and they are out of Dr Pepper. Called and asked a manager at the store in Leesburg about it and they said sorry we have none and it could be 3 weeks + before we get more. So I have to go to Target pay a higher price, almost double, while paying a membership fee for a store that doesn't offer my cheaper gas nor the products that I want. Bait & switch: Washer/dryer was delivered a week after promised; delivery team said another team would perform the 'free' installation. The installer is scheduled to show up the week after delivery because of a mistake in scheduling. The installer doesn't show up the night the washer/dryer is supposed to be hooked up, now we have to pay for the 'free' installation that was advertised with the sale of the washer/dryer combo. We have a 5 month old and havent been able to wash clothes for more than 2 weeks because Costco did not deliver as advertised. read more

The worst, rudest people work here. No greeting at check out! It no wonder why people LOVE the self checkout. You can pack your own stuff without it being crushed or dumped in the parking lot. The store is clean and organized. Plenty of samples. But I'd rather pay for customer service, eh, thought that's what the membership helped out with. Amazon may have you beat on some bulk items. So I just moved to the Ashburn area recently and decided to check out the Leesburg Costco. It was such a great experience. The employees were super friendly. The store isn't as crowded as other Costco locations I have shopped at. I also love that the traffic into the gas pumps or into the store wasn't crazy. I haven't been to this location on a weekend yet, so I imagine it could be nuts on the weekend, but so far so good! read more

This location is not busy store as much Fairfax and Arlington. Customer services are barely ok and cashiers are perfect. Easy to get parking spot and not too long lane on Gas. I like their Self-Check out system, but it takes only cards. read more

Costco is the best! Fresh, wild-caught fish, inexpensive recent-model cell phones (with an excellent return policy), free samples of SEVERAL items a day, cheap prescription drugs at the pharmacy, great selection of meats, fantastic vendors who are there sporadically, cheap hot dogs and pizza at the front of the store, discount on stamps, discounts on movie tickets, discounts on boats, and the best return-policy of any store on the planet. The prices on many of the packaged goods are a bit incongruous, though, and their hours are often inconvenient. Mostly, it's hard to get good fresh produce here, so that means I have to stop here AND another place instead of just one spot, which is frustrating. Also, it would be great if they sold dry ice. The frozen-food section is great, but if you don't live close to a costco (like many of their customers), the frozen-food section is off limits in the summer. I asked the manager about this once and he said that the only reason they can't do that is because it's Costco's business model to make a profit on EVERY item and they didn't feel like they could do that for dry ice. Okay, but I'm sure they could break even, or operate at a small loss, while boosting their frozen-food sales at the same time. It's a business tactic that would benefit the consumers as well as the store itself. Something to think about, Costco. read more

It's Costco. What more can I say? This Costco is about the same as every other Costco. Not good or bad. Just A-OK (hence the 3-star rating). We shop here regularly. Oh, and this is THE place to buy gas. Everyplace else around town was selling unleaded for around $3.019/gallon, and Costco was selling for $2.889/gallon. Cha-ching! I also like that they have figured out a better traffic flow into and out of the Costco gas station here than at other places here. I went in today to purchase the iPad Pro 11, 1TB, with keyboard and pencil. It showed online this store had them in stock. A floor worker said I needed to speak to someone in Merchandise. I walked over to where I was sent. 3 guys were shooting the shit. Took a few for me to be noticed. Patrick and some loud mouth fella inquired why I stood there. I proceeded to tell them why I was there and looking to make a purchase. I was told they didn't carry the items in the store. I showed them the app, where it said these items were available at this location in the store. Once again I was told I was wrong. I asked if they could order the items. Patrick said there was a kiosk and I could do it myself. Hell, Patrick, I could've done this at home and saved me a trip today. Costco lost a 2k sale today, because of their unwillingness to provide customer service. I'm more appalled they wouldn't place the order for me, as they stood in front of a monitor/cash register system. Best But got the sale and price matched Costco's price for the iPad. Beyond worst experience I've had purchasing new tires. The first guy I dealt with recommended me tires. Get a call to come back as I'm leaving second guys tell me they won't fit and they can't put them on. First guy comes out and says yes we can if he really wants them. Second guy says sorry were not allowed to put them on your car. I made it be known that I was recommended these tires and did not care at all as they were the ones who recommended them to me. Second guy let's me know that the new ones were only 100 dollars more for the 4 then the other ones. I go get my refund which took forever come back and the new ones are $300 more then the previous ones I "purchased" second guy forgot to tell me about the difference in the sale that was going on. So I left with now an $800 amount processing on my card for god knows how long and no tires. Worst experience ever. Be better! read more

Disgusting!!! The helper spilled the bread on the filthy counter then picked it up with her bare hands to shove it back in the container and then tried to punch it in the register!!! I said wait a minute I don't want that!!! Although it was an accident what's so disgusting is she tried to punch it as if nothing happened. Friendliest Costco in the area. Henry the Greeter and the lady who does the final checkout at the door with a smiley face on the receipt make my day. Lena, one of the managers, is a very hard working lady who will go out of her way to make sure customers come first!! My wife and I have shopped at this Costco ever since it opened and have never been disappointed with the Service we receive. If something is not right we can return it and get our money back or get store credit without any hassle. Sales personnel will go out of their way to find items for us. We purchase our gas and car tires there. The food in the snack bar is just right for a mid-day meal. Wine selection is outstanding. Fruit, dairy products(especially milk), eggs, baked goods, chicken are all high quality and a bargain. We also buy all paper products there and until recently have bought pads for our puppy there. Hopefully they will get that back in again. I was told that they might. So overall I would recommend this Costco to anyone who wants a good shopping experience with friendly people. read more

I had the absolute worst experience today at your location in Leesburg, VA. It absolutely pissed me off. I am a nanny and frequently visit Costco (with my bosses card; I also have a membership as well) because I was buying something for the kids used her card. After I purchased everything, the cashier rudely called me out. He proceed to tell his co worker " that is not even her or her card anyway" and they starting questioning me about who's card it was. I told him that it was my boss and I am nanny, but before I could even get it out, he started raising his voice at me, telling me I can't do that ever again. It's not really what he said, it was how he said it. I felt like he was implying that I stole the card. Why they hell would I steal a Costco card. If he was that concerned he could have gotten his supervisor, pulled me aside and I would have explained to him/or her why I had the card. It was the most humiliating and embarrassing experience ever. There were other people around me, whispering and making comments about it. I love Costco, but I am seriously rethinking about dropping my membership and going to BJs or Sams Club, maybe they treat their customers better. read more

Great store overall but you have to be smart with the time you go as it's crowded on the weekends and early evenings. Good and friendly service. I will say that over the last couple months they have really screwed their food court up with the addition of the kiosks. It's easier to order the food but they can't even come close to filling the orders at that pace. As a result the back-ups are unreal. They should go back to the previous process as it's clear this is a fail on their part. read more

Probably the worst Costco I've been to. Parking lot has a weird set up. Difficult to get into and park. The greeters don't check for your ID unless they are in the mood. There is no real produce section. On top of that, several items had already expired in the dairy and dips section. While I have no problem with providing teenagers with employment, they need to train and monitor their employees better. I witnessed a teenager male employee too busy hitting on another woman his age, while he was supposed to be working. The two teenagers that rung me up were in a rush to close the register up after me that they BOTH overlooked two huge cases of water and forgot to include two cases of water (I had a full cart) so when I went to walk out, I was stopped (by another teenager) and accused of stealing two cases of water. When I explained that the cashier must have forgotten to charge me, he gave me the stink eye and continued to imply that I was a criminal. In order to pay for them, I had to go all the way back to the other end of the store to pay. When the cashiers and customer service desk was right around the corner. I ended up putting them back, even though I went into Costco with water as my main buy. The lines were too long for me to even go back and wait. And I also had a huge full cart. I didn't notice that they had not rung them up because I SAW them move them around, and addressed that I had a coupon for the waters. Last, before leaving we ordered a few things from the food court. For some reason, everyone got their food as they paid. We did not and had to wait 10 minutes before we finally asked someone. Apparently, they had forgotten our order. On top of that, the food was burnt. We had to ask for a new one. Never will I return here. read more

I definitely favor this location more than the others. It's not as crowded, the lines go by fast, and there is self check out! (which is not available at all locations) Everything is fresh, clean, and well organized. The pizza is good (as it is in all Costco locations). OH. I almost forgot. This is also the first Virginia location that I've ever been to....so something I never had was..... dun dun dun........ An alcohol section! I've never experienced a pharmacist as unprofessional as the woman at this pharmacy. She flat out lied about what my prescribing Dr. told her over the phone when she was verifying my prescription. I spoke to him after she hung up with him. She took one look at me and made a discriminatory judgment regarding what I'd been prescribed by an actual physician. I decided to try the Self Checkout , well a man in front of me had to wait for a Manager, but he walked away. I said to the man , Are you finished checking out sir? He replied yes! The Costco Man comes to the register as I'm trying to make a purchase & starts telling me where is the man who was in front of you? I replied, he left. My wife wasted half her day attempting to get tires at this store. She went in the morning and was told 2 hours and given a price. Two hours later they called and said they didn't have the right tire and the tires once ordered were going to be over $100 more than she was originally told. So she never got tires and spend half her day off waiting around Costco because their tire department apparently have no clue how to check their inventory or prices. For the Tire Center only: I came to Costco because the website said that the cost for tire installation was $15 a tire. Not outstanding, but slightly better than average. I also give them credit because the first time I took my van here, it was to replace two tires, and the guy pointed out that I had the wrong size tires already installed previous error - previous mechanic). He might have been a bit curt, but he saved me added aggravation. So I left and came back later because I liked how he checked the sizes. Small, but important detail before they got started. Apparently the $15 installation only applies to tires you buy from Costco - otherwise they throw in a separate charge for balancing - so now it's $19 a tire. If that was clear I would probably have gone to a tire specialist because that's high - especially for a warehouse club that I pay to be a member of. My second trip involved arriving at about 8:30 on a Sunday morning, well before the main store opens. There was a line because I got there later than I wanted to. Then nothing. At a little after 11:00 I walked back over from the nearest Starbucks and found my car with four new tires on it. When I asked why they didn't call - he looked at a piece of paper and said "Says they tried to call and left a message". I took that piece of paper with me -there was nothing about leaving a message. They just didn't call - Which is annoying more than anything. When I picked it up - that was it. There was no further up-sell, no suggestions for changing out anything else or need to buy anything else. So overall it was a decent experience. But next time I will just go to a tire place - if Costco charges more, I don't see the benefit over going to an actual Tire specialist. GARAGE DOORS. Note that COSTCO has a lovely garage door display- warning... do NOT go through Costco to buy garage doors. First they were supposed to install on July 8th, then switched to 9th. The installers were fine except that the colors were all wrong. Garage doors come in panels. Some were beige, some were white - so that's what I have now. Costco set up a date two weeks- they must receive the new panels from the factory, and hope they are the same color and then install. I asked for a complete new door to make sure all panels would be from same dye-lot and would be the same color - no dice. And if the colors do not match, I will have to battle it out with the factory! Door cost? 2900 for one 18x 8 door. read more

Packed, always packed. It is hard to move around in this place, and take a book when it is time to checkout because you will be there for a while, a long, long, while. Sometimes I get sent here to pick up just a couple of items by my wife, but I have to wait in the endlessly long checkout queues behind people with overstuffed carts full of stuff, no 15 items or less checkout lanes in this place. I really like this Costco. Much less crowded than a lot of the other ones I have been at and also well stocked. Staff is average. Parking is good an easy especially if you park on the right side of the store. I would have given it a higher rating but ran into a significant problem with one of my prescriptions at the pharmacy. I will not go into details because they are personal in nature but I will never fill a prescription there again. read more

I've been going to this Costco for a year and decided it's time to write a review, especially since I returned something for the first time today. This Costco is busy like all other ones but I like this one much more than the Sterling location. A week ago, I bought a bag of clementines. A couple of days after I bought it, I opened it to eat one and noticed there were two to three moldy ones in the middle of the bag. I threw them out and didn't think much of it even though it sucked I had to throw what I paid for in the trash. The next day, I reached in to grab another clementine and got a moldy one. I think the mold from the others got on to the good ones, maybe? I don't know but one by one, more and more started to get moldy very fast like a plague. I didn't have time throughout the week to return it until earlier today. I had to bag the clementines to return it because they started to smell and rot. I wasn't sure if Costco would take it but I bought a whole bag and didn't want to waste my money. I've never had that happened before. Anyway, I took the rotting bag of clementines back to Costco. The lady at the register asked what was inside the bag, I told her and she took my membership card, did her thing, I swiped my credit card, she gave me a receipt and that was that. She didn't ask me any questions nor did she ask for a receipt. I had it but she didn't ask to see it. It was quick and simple (I got there early). This was my first time returning anything in Costco so I was surprised at how simple and easy they made it for me. read more

I went to Costco to get a prescription filled as I have done in the past, the usual amount that I have been paying for my prescription is $6 they told me it was now $68 and that it has gone up significantly... ummmmm yeah $62? I took the prescription and went to Walmart they told me it would $20 hmmmmm now I can swallow that (no pun intended) alot better than $68. I went back to Costco and told them Walmart is only charging $20 and I want my money back, they said oh well let me verify the price and ended up giving it to me for $20..... hello??? If they can sell it for $20 why are they trying to rip me off for an extra $48? Take your prescriptions else where I know I will read more
