Baked potato from the cafe £1.50

I personally dont have a costco card but my boyfriend does so i regularly accompany him on his wee trips and i have to say i quite enjoy a wander round costco. There is a huge amount of parking but it can be quite hard getting out of the car park if turning right at peak time. 9 times out of 10 then are food samples to be had whilst you are wandering around the store of all different types which is fab. I noticed recently that there is an opticians instore and also a car tyre place. The tyre prices look quite reasonable too. Plenty public toilets and a cash machine too. There is a little cafe that actually does quite nice food. Its not gourmet but its cheap and cheerful so always nice to stop in once done with shopping. Membership is £25 for the year and you have to bring proof of what organisation you belong to in order to qualify for membership. I personally wouldnt buy one but i have no need too since i can blag a trip with the bf when he goes!

Great to buy produce in bulk but to buy them you need to get a card that allows you to shop there witch is a bit annoying

I was in here yesterday to get some threaded sequins for my Hallowe'en costume. (supposed to be ringmaster: looking more like pornographic clown) The sequin reels were only 40p a metre, which is totally affordable. Their range of fabrics is huge, and a few definitely caught my eye - especially the red and black fur. They have buttons and wool; patches and ribbons; and a seasonal Hallowe'en section. The Hallowe'en section has small accessories such as wigs, hats and masks. It's made me want to start making my own clothes, but this will probably go the same way as my jewellery-making, hat-knitting and my "eBay business empire".

Everything you could possibly want fabric or sewing related can be found here - and if it can't the lovely helpful staff will order it in for you. They have a fantastic selection of fabrics, sewing accessories and buttons (I had to once try and find 100 of the same buttons and this was the only place in the city that seemed to be able to meet my demands!). It's huge and light and airy. The staff are keen, and you won't leave empty handed. Promise.

After saying it was my bag i got the response of i dont believe you in which the employee tried to snatch my bag from me creating a scene. Aggressive/ horrible mannerism and no remorse after his manager said she seen me come in with the bag. Horrible experience. I hope no one else is treated this way by lidl employees just because they are having personal issues.

It was mainly to do with the all-pervasive muzak that rotted your brain into something like an automaton from The Stepford Wives. Thankfully most places have stopped the muzak these days. I wasn't a huge fan of Lidl either, mainly because of their insistence that you enter at one door and proceed around the entire shop in an orderly fashion before exiting via the tills, which totally destroyed one's innate desire to browse and possibly leave without buying anything. That doesn't apply in this Lidl, which is laid out pretty much like any other supermarket with interconnecting aisles allowing you to wander as you please. There are some great bargains to be had in all departments, and it's always worth a look at the 'specials' bins where you can find all manner of bargain stuff like DIY tools, toys and games that you've never heard of, shelving units and even clothing items. Packaged goods tend to be OK if not the best quality that you might be used to if you shop at Waitrose normally, but the fresh veg and fruit is not such a bargain unless you like buying in bulk - you won't find single onions here. It's not always that fresh either - we almost bought a pack of oranges until we discovered at the till that one of them was completely green with mould - yuck!
