Car was was so "good" it stripped my paint clean off!
This car wash ended up costing our insurance $5000 in damages to our normal and average size truck and we paid $500 deductible for an $8 wash. DO NOT USE IT.
- we heard a sizable, banging noise in the car wash and kind of chalked it up to the machines until we got home and realized our bumper was completely bent out of place and the amount of swirls and scratches and dents above the rear driver wheel were so deep. We would've 100% have noticed before going in the car wash after shopping bc we went straight home and noticed immediately so it's not like somebody hit us somewhere else (and we parked by the car wash where NO one was), and there were clear swirl marks, which our mechanic agreed later.
- called right away and talked to somebody who asked us what the date and time was we went through the wash which later we found out was never notated and I don't know who that lady was. (Wiping cameras probably)
- We went back to the store right after that phone call and asked for a manager because the car wash damaged our car and we were given Evan, who we later found out is not even a manager but a supervisor which is below a manager at costco. {Three people in the store also told us there were no cameras at the car wash, and when we stated that there clearly were and that we took photos of them, they changed their story to that they don't work.} I literally can't make this up.
- Evan filled out our paperwork and let us take a photo, but did not give us the yellow copy that should've been underneath as a receipt.
- He said he would process it that night and that we could call back tomorrow.
- Well, I called the next day and Evan said that he did file it but when I called corporate another 3 days later to check there is nothing on file - shocker.
- The corporate lady was very nice and said that the cameras 1000% do work and that we needed to go back to the store and ask for the general manager named Jen and that the claim number would process by then.
- When we spoke to Jen, it had been about one week and one day since the altercation with the car wash and the story has now changed to that the cameras hadn't been working for a couple months but they had literally been fixed two days before which would've been six days after our car wash fiasco. Isn't that just so convenient?
- Her and the assistant general manager seemed more accommodating at first but couldn't find our claim either until we brought up corporate having us on file, and then they magically gave us our claim number and had the audacity to almost chide us by saying "you didn't have to call corporate".
- My insurance is still fighting their insurance, which is just absolutely ludicrous, and no one before the insurance fight started almost about a month later had called us from the store to follow up despite Jen claiming they were going to.
I've attached a photo of the cameras that 1) didn't exist and then 2) just didn't work and then 3) were magically fixed 6 days after our car was damaged by them. And photos of damage. If you have a problem with this store just immediately call corporate- don't bother with the staff here - they won't help you. read more
