I will come right out and say that I am not usually a fan of whole sale at all. Most of the time the prices are a complete rip off and you aren't really saving anything. That and when you buy a lot of these things in bulk they end up going bad before you finish them anyways. The funny part is that I have kind of changed my mind about whole sale stores after coming here. They have a huge selection of quality items! A lot of them are really good prices. Now normally their bulk discount still wouldn't be good enough, but they have a lot of products that are on sale as well. We got a huge 24 pack of those yummy Belvita biscuits for like 7 bucks. That is a huge deal. The food at their food court is pretty good too. I tried their pizza and it was really cheesy and had a good crust. They also have soda for like 60 cents with free refills! That is a really freaking good deal! The only downfall is that they will try their best to upsell you when you sign up. They will even tag team you with their manager. It's sad that they clearly make their service reps do that. They probably have some sort of incentive. Other than that, not too bad of a place to shop! read more

The cashier MARIE G was easily brought to anger and irritation, causing customers to leave offended and flustered. She screamed at her co-workers that she had no one helping her in her lane when she only had one cart to ring up, not a line of customers. Her loud volume of voice and snarky tone had all other customers in different lanes startled, looking around to see who was yelling. She spoke to her team in a disheartening figure of speech and gave the strong impression that this employee was not trained on the importance of respecting co-workers and customers. Her inability to provide efficient and pleasant customer service noticeably got worse when she was providing customer service towards those who she assumed would not speak fluent English. An Asian customer was trying to take out an item from her cart, and the cashier screamed at her to bring back the item in the same way she snapped at her co-workers. The customer and her husband stood confused, unable to understand why the cashier was screaming at them, and the cashier sneered and said "they don't understand (English)," condescendingly laughing with the other employee who was packing the items into the cart. This drew clear contrast with the customer service of SUSAN Q, who checked my receipt when I was exiting the store. Susan was very professional and was radiating with pleasant and positive energy, making up for the rudeness of the cashier. I truly hope this employee is educated on professionalism and controlling her own emotions. I understand she did not want to be there working today, but she should never let her personal issues affect the way the customers are treated. They have great products but customer service could be better. The cashiers threw my card out because my husband wasn't physically in the store, but were happy to take my money when I renewed our membership without his presence. Rules aren't enforced when it is convenient to them. read more

Let's see. I've been a member for nearly a year and I'm still in love! Bought tires, so easy. Fast. Special ordered 2 day delivery and 30min install. I will chose shopping over wAiting in a garage any day. Staff here is hardcore customer service oriented. I've yet to see a weak link. I think the furniture stuff is odd and hotel like- but seasonal items, holiday ect are fun, especially if you time their markdowns right. Other stuff - Ray bans P$120, Vitamix $399. I laughed when I heard Syracuse was getting a Costco but obviously the joke was on me. This is one of the nicest costcos I've been in. It was so clean and well stocked in addition they had products that weren't all bulk. As a single person I could go there and be very happy with the sizes. Went to Costco a few weeks ago and lo 'n behold, they had full packer briskets! Oh Happy day! Since they opened their store in Camillus I have wondered why they didn't sell brisket there like they do in most of their other stores, especially out west. When I saw the full packers I had to have one. They were USDA Choice too! So imagine my disappointment when I went there today and there were none to be found. I talked to one of the meat guys and he told me that that was a one shot deal and that they won't normally stock them. To say I am upset would be an understatement. Thanks Costco. read more

We go here pretty often, if for nothing else but to fill our gas tanks. I am always amazed at the low gas prices, and definitely the lowest in the area. We enjoy shopping around, not that my husband and I need 12 boxes of toothpaste, but some things are worth it... They do have a lot of nice items here, and a nice variety of different kinds of foods. The samples are a plus if you want to try something new. Although, I do wish they accepted coupons and I dislike that they only take debit cards. read more

Ya know, I like this place and have always been very happy with the products that I have purchased and the service that I have received, until today ! Here' this middle aged woman with no face mask on and she was being confronted by a store employee. After telling the employee that she worked in health care and the virus was not a problem,, she explained that she a medical deferment so she did not have to wear one. When I complained to management they said that she had told them that she was exempt from wearing a mask. First off, as far as I could see she never produced any evidence of it and surprise, surprise, her four children had no masks on either ! So, did all five of them have a medical release ? The fact of the matter is that regardless of whether they had medical releases or not, they could spread the virus and shouldn't 't have been allowed in the store !!! I'm over 70 years old and don't need to be exposed to that. Shame on you Costco, Camillus ! Stand up to these bully's and protect your customers and employees ! read more

You should go here. Clean, great selection, prices comparable to the other big boxes, Kirkland house brand is excellent. Plus they treat their employees well: pay a living wage, provide health care, a New Economy employer. So go there for the quality prices and selection, go there to support a company that gets it right. And then have a Chicken Bake at the cafeteria. read more

I joined Costco about a year ago to obtain a hearing test and perhaps purchase hearing aids. This was a farce as the audiologist insisted that their hearing aids MUST be working for me, but they were not. Got super great ones elsewhere. Present issue: A year ago the representative I spoke with at the appropriate desk convinced me to purchase the Executive upgrade for $60 saying I would get that $60 back when I spent that much in the store. When this did not happen I again went to the appropriate help desk and they told me, such was not so; rather I would get a $60 reduction upon my next renewal. Recently when I received the annual renewal Notice by US mail the fee was $129.60. Finally finding this local store's phone # on Yelp, I called and choose "1" to speak with management. She said I could not cancel over the phone, that I would have to find a Costco and do so in person no matter what state I was presently located. read more

This place knocks it out of the park. The selection is great for a membership store. Often times at other similar stores, they have what you are looking for but only one kind or flavor. Not the case at Costco. The dessert area could be dangerous if on a diet so you might want to stay far away from that. The best looking red velvet cake in the world for $10. I also really like their alcohol selection. Lastly, do not leave the store without stopping at the snack bar. You will not be disappointed with the very berry sundae. Get it. read more

I thought COSTCO was going to be just another Sam's or BJ's.I went in with a bad attitude as much as I hate to admit it. The merchandise is so much higher quality. The selection of food, both fresh and frozen is far superior and the service is very friendly and accommodating. Costco is the best thing to ever happen. Growing up I heard stories from my aunt about this magical store called Costco and now I have one near me. It has lowered the gas prices in town with competitors, and they sell such high quality products. I love sampling there. I have eaten foods that I have never tried before because of the samples. Don't even get me started on the concessions in the front. I eat a hot dog there at least once a week. I love Costco. I love it! read more

Having just moved back to Central NY from Los Angeles, I couldn't believe how empty this location was on Thursday night (6/18/15). No line for gas, which was more than 20 cents cheaper than other gas stations, and no line at the snack bar. You should see how crowded Costco is in Los Angeles - any location, any time, any day of the week! I am worried about the longevity of this location if more people don't start shopping here. It's definitely worth the annual membership - go get a one-day guest pass at customer service and check it out!!! Fantastic produce, meat, and dairy including organic milk, eggs and ground beef. Great deals on paper products, cleaning supplies and kitty litter, too. Excellent bakery items including delicious butter croissants. I LOVE COSTCO!! read more

I bought tires from Costco in IL in 2013. I moved here to Syracuse,NY in late 2013. They were not here so my membership was no good. Now my tires which are warranted for 75k mi. have developed cracks on the sidewalls which are manufacturer's defects. I contacted this store and they will not honor the warranty because I am not a current member. I thought Costco stood behind everything they sell. I guess not and it does not matter if the items are still covered under their warranty. I am not going to spend another $50 just so they can enter me into the system to work on my car. Shows you all they care about is the money, customer satisfaction comes last. read more
