I would like to preface this with why I took one star off. I gave 4 because of the interaction I had with the in store shift leader in this location ( Fayetteville NY) . I was however extremely impressed with the home office and their willingness to turn the situation around and make my day! A store manager personally delivered our meal to us! THIS MADE OUR DAY. I have been a long time customer of Wegmans. It has been my go to for a good meal on the go or for catering large parties. This evening I was not feeling well and after leaving the doctors, I had to pick up a prescription. I went over to the pizza area and ordered two pizzas in a specific way but when I got home, they were incorrectly cooked. When I called the store initially I spoke with the shift lead in the food area. Although he wasn't outwardly rude on the phone, he was, however, condescending and patronizing. Telling me he was " trying to help me" however the options were not fitting to the situation. He told me I could cook my own then they would be cooked properly. I told him I wasn't feeling well and I just spent over $40 on this meal to be prepared GOR MY FAMILY and I would love to be able to feed them this evening. Mike told me I would have to come back and bring the pizza with me. I don't mind exchanging the items however I was already home and my child had eaten a piece before complaining that it tasted off. I took a bite and it was nearly raw in the center. I had specifically asked for well done. I explained that If they offered delivery ( which they do he confirmed that) then I could give the delivery driver back the wrong items and get the proper replacement deliver. He stated that I would have to order and pay for it all over again. so there was nothing he could do there. I gave up after going in circles with him and reached out to the home office. I believe it was Pam ( I could have the name wrong) who said hold on! let me give the store a call and we will get it straight for you. She was so sympathetic and understanding of everything and I really am thankful for her. Bob who is a store manager was awesome and he remade our items and HAND DELIVERED them to our home. This is above and beyond anything I could have asked for and I want to thank both of them for having compassion and kindness in this rough situation today that spanned much further than an encounter with an unfriendly staff member. Thank you again for being amazing and really caring! I understand that we all have bad days however this particular employee MIke has been rude/unfriendly a few other times with me and I guess today it boiled over for me. What I am getting at is we just don't know what people are going through and I guess both he and I could learn from this. I again, am so grateful for the amazing people who helped me in a tough situation today! Keep doing kind things! read more

Wegmans is by far the best grocery store in our area and glad we have several of them in the Syracuse area If you've never been to Wegmans try the one in Fayettville/DeWitt area as its the largest in the Syracuse area. Great food court type area as well. Recommend !! read more

We cannot go to Central NY without stopping in at Wegmans! I dream of having one upstate. We load up on the grandpas red sauce (special), salt and pepper kettle chips ( they almost taste like they have a light dusting of cheddar on them) , cherry vanilla seltzer ( good replacement for soda tastes just like a cream soda), Italian basting oil, bold and the blueberry coffee pods, blueberry and strawberry wheat cereal , chocolate cake from the bakery and their chocolate chip cookies! read more

This is my go to stop for everything ie groceries, toiletries, fresh food, prepared food and anything else. This spot is convenient to get to. There are also 20ish locations in the area. If this isn't close to you, I'm sure there is a Wegmans near you. I sometimes am here a few times a day. I highly recommend coming here if you're looking for fresh food options. read more

As a Canadian, the grocery stores in my area are not nearly as nice and impressive as Wegmans! We were in town for the new york state fair and did a bit of shopping. I always love visiting supermarkets, seing the different brands and goods that we can't find back home. Wegmans is certainly impressive, this location is huge, lots of different sections that cater to different needs - love the deli counter, prepared sushis, bakery, ready made meals and cheese selection. All the aisles are clean, spacious, with plenty of stock. I've never seen such a big assortment of prepared foods and couldn't believe there was a second floor that serves as a café/cantine area. You can have a great lunch here without paying too much! The interior decor is kind of reminiscent of an outdoor market, like you're in Italy or perhaps another European city - it is eye catching and unique. I noticed Wegmans carries a lot of products from its own store brand, everything looks appetizing and without knowing much of the company, it seems like good quality food. I like that the supermarket offers more than just food, there is a decent selection of household things, random accessories, toys, kitchen ware and even official Syracuse sports merchandise. Price point, after visiting Hannaford or Tops in the surrounding ideas - I think Wegmans is considered a notch above, they are more expensive but do offer better selection of goods. read more

Today when I walked in I was reminded on why I use to shop here for my groceries. The absolute abundance and variety of grocery items was amazing. But once I tapped the breaks and put a check on my enthusiasm I remembered why we shop other stores for groceries. The price points and my sticker shock were impactful to say the least. If not for the $, my rating would be higher, but I can get my groceries elsewhere first less, al be it with not as vast of a variety, but with less of an impact to the budget. read more

I'm just leaving this review because I don't understand how such a large store in this day and age can have such a lousy selection of vegetarian grab-n-go. You get salads and a veggie sandwich which is like an Italian sub with no meat, a cheese sandwich. They sell tofu and veggie burgers in the grocery, somebody in hot and cold food have to try to picture a plate of food with no meat. Make a chickpea salad in the next decade! read more

They don't check their expired products. I bought lunch meat on 3/3 that expired 2/23. I didn't think to look and make sure it wasn't expired. I made my husband a sandwich for him to take to lunch. He said it gave him a stomach ache.That's when I checked the expiration date and realized it was bad. I feel terrible he ate it and felt sick afterwards. I have also gotten expired stuff when I have done the online orders and they picked it. read more

I come to this Wegmans quite often. I do like the variety of groceries that they carry but I don't like that more and more they only carry their own brand so that you don't have a choice to have other brands. I find their meat to be very pricey and normally buy that at Costco (my favorite grocery store). I wanted to say that the women's bathroom is gross!! I've been at least 4 times in the last 3 months and it has a strong urine smell. I cannot believe with the money that Wegmans has that they will not get this cleaned up???? I've been to other Wegmans locations and have not run into this. The management at this location needs to get that taken care of. I will still shop here for special items that I like ( sparkling water, popcorn, oatmeal, and tuna fish) will avoid the bathroom until this is taken care of. read more

Probably one of the better locations. My local at Western Lights is not so eclectic. Here there's more choice of everything. Also, unlike WL, you can get a real cup of coffee. Nicer clientele too. And a self serv checkout which is extremely useful. Better selection of hot/readymade foods. read more

How could anyone give anything but a 5-star rating to Wegmans!? Especially this location. Whole Foods, Waldbaums, Stop & Shop, etc do not even compare to Wegmans. Organic? Got it. Huge beer selection? Got it. Meats, cheeses, large produce department, bakery with awesome donuts, floral shop, pharmacy, sandwich, pizza and coffee café? Got it all. Not to mention a ton of open cashiers at all hours of the day. What more could you want? Oh yeah... Great customer service? Check. Clean store? Check. Stocked Shelves? Check. Consistently low prices? Absolutely! Oh and I can't close this review without mentioning the bulk candy section. It's the largest in the land. And has just about any sweet you may be craving. :-) read more

Another week, another shopping trip. I will always choose Wegmans to get my groceries. Of course, did not disappoint. Where to even begin with this location? First off, huge parking lot. Even on the busiest day, youll find a spot. Wont be close, but you will get a spot. I will say not a huge fan of the layout of the plaza it is in. But, not a huge deal. This place may actually have everything. Since not all Wegmans are set up the same, takes a few minutes to get my bearings on where to start. I'm very logistically when I grocery shop, including how my shopping cart gets organized. I am a big fan of the split aisles as it makes navigating much easier. Speaking of aisles, man they are WIDE! Most places you can barely get 2 carts side by side but not here. It is especially helpful during the pandemic. With it being decently busy for middle of the week and mid day, the store looked very clean. With the recent snow, you may think salt would be all over. Nope, they definitely keep on up on. As I mentioned, decently busy yet the shelves were not bare in the slightest. I did see a few employees stocking, with a smile of course. This includes anything from bakery to dairy to meats. They have so many different counters to pick from. A huge assortment of fresh, easy snacks or meals. We are always eyeing the sushi when we come across it! The few employees who I did interact with, one being a gentleman stocking the dairy, are friendly as usual. Very courteous and always willing to help. All in all, another fantastic Wegmans store. Maybe one day I will stop reviewing Wegmans, but do not count on it. read more

Wegmans has been considered more an experience than a grocery store, and that's not far from the truth. I lived in Maryland for 4 years and when a Wegmans finally popped up, I purposely drove 45 minutes to shop at it. It was like receiving a hug from home. This is the location I frequent the most, as I live closest to it. It's right in the middle as far as size goes, not the smallest but not the biggest in the area. They have a wide selection of products in every department, including their own house brand which is great. I frequently get their subs (buffalo chicken finger is my favorite), and they offer plenty of ready-to-go meals. Their departments are always well stocked and it's extremely rare that they don't have something I want or need. They have a great deli department, their pharmacy is fast and efficient, and they have a great floral section for a grocery store. Their prices can be slightly higher than other stores, but the quality of product is better, as is the experience of shopping there. Employees are always friendly and seem happy, and they always have plenty of cash register lines open. It's in a pretty concentrated area, so this one tends to get pretty busy. Wegmans is simply the best grocery store that there is. read more

Every time I go to this Wegman's it's a mistake. Their selves are always bare and I can never done what I am looking for. Today they had absolutely no Peter Pan peanut butter, no gravy, no meatloaf mixes, along with several other mixes and slow cooker mixes. On multiple occasions I have asked the staff for help and they have been extremely rude and condescending. The only good thing about this store is that it works with the scan and bag app. read more

I love wegmans. They are the ultimate grocery store. I grew up in Oswego county with lots of wegmans so of course I grew up in the wegmans cult believing they were the best. I grew up moved away and have now shopped at whole foods, trader joes, local co-ops, price chopper and hannaford. After trying all those places wegmans is still my fav (although each has something they are best at.) Why do I love wegmans? 1. They treat their employees well and are consistently rated one of the best places to work. They also hire differently abled individuals and give them employment with dignity. 2. The cafe! Omg the cafe. The prepared foods are where it's at. Amazing fresh cookies and doughnuts. The best subs around. Sushi for days. The hot bar. The olive bar. The international bar. It's heaven. 3. Customer service. See number 1 for reasons why they get it right. They treat their people right. 4. Wide variety of food. They pretty much have everything. Their cheese selection is also to be touted. And the prices are reasonable for what you get. And that's why I love them. Go for lunch if it's your first time and eat in the cafe. This review is specifically for the Wegmans sub shop. I have been living away from any and all Wegman for many years now, but when I take a trip back home, I always look forward to a Danny's Favorite or Buffalo Chicken finger sub from Wegman's. The past two times that I have been back, I have ordered the Buffalo chicken finger sub. Each time, the chicken was not quality. The first time, the ends of the meat were hard and seemed like I was eating chicken that sat overnight on a counter. This time, the chicken was so mushy and not flavorful at all! On a positive note, my sandwich maker was very friendly and made my sandwich as ordered. The other toppings tasted fresh. Next time, I will stick with the Danny's Favorite to be on the safe side! read more

I can't say enough good things about wegmans. I think that most wegmans are five star and this is no exception. Like most wegmans this is a family place. We've been coming here for over 27 years, my whole life span, I remember when it wasn't updated and had a totally different layout. They have great products here both regular and specialty. If you are on a specialty diet they have every single kind of product you would like. Daiya cheese, coconut yogurt, gluten free pastas. I come to wegmans because no other grocery stores compare and the service is almost always friendly. We are spoiled with the sub shop, good sushi and delicious prepared meals. I am truly spoiled to live here and have he privilege of coming to wegmans anytime I need to shop. The only negative is how busy this place gets. I'm rating this Wegmans strictly on their cafe. Was driving home and decided instead of stopping at McDonalds or Wendy's I'll take the healthy route to Wegmans. We moved to Syracuse, NY and I was so happy we have Wegmans to shop at. This particular location is not as big as the one in Dewitt but delivers all we need and its convenient for us. Everyone is friendly and willing to help. They always have everything and plenty of it. I also love the large selection of Goya products they carry. I found the Goya frozen products last week and was happy. I love their own brand and I buy if they have what I am looking for. Their wide variety of already prepared food, salad bar, soups is great. Their CS counter is great with friendly staff. We love Wegman's. read more

As a resident of CNY, Wegman's is a staple. I was enamored when I first moved here, approx. 9 years ago. In respect to this specific location, here is my big gripe - you go at prime dinner time 5-6pm or so and they are often out of many things in the cafe/sub/sushi area. I always go for the sushi. Without a doubt-out of my go-to or at least out of it with the brown rice/quinoa blend. At that time of day, it seems that the majority of the remaining sushi has white rice. I feel like if they looked at the numbers that they should make more brown rice/quinoa and less white rice. What is also frustrating is that the sushi employee is still there and usually says it's too late-he can't make any or he is out of rice, or another ingredient. Last night was about the 4-5th time this has happened to me! This rarely seems to be the problem in Dewitt BUT I live closest to this location! Move over to the subs, same story. Out of certain rolls. This is for the husband and kids, the world isn't going to end if the sub does or does not have seeds- they are indifferent. Though still frustrating that this is a regular occurrence. If you want customers to make this their spot for easy dinner pick up, my suggestion is to please stock enough product to make it through the dinner rush. The only reason that I feel the need to write this review is this has happened multiple times. I am not an unrealistic, demanding customer who is posting after this happening to me once. *On a side note, since I am giving a review of the sushi - since when it came out a few years ago, the amount of tuna has been reduced by approx. 1/2. I don't know the exact amount but I am sure Wegman's does as I am sure home office set forth the standards for the amount to be used in each sushi roll. read more

I love Wegmans, but my experience today might be a total dealbreaker. While shopping at the store in the Camillus Plaza on West Genesee, I witnessed a young couple with a huge Doberman pincher in the store on a leash around its neck. The dog looked between 80-100 pounds and I can estimate that because I have a dog who is 95 pounds, and they are close to the same size. This Doberman did not have on anything to identify him as a service or support dog. Just a naked dog on a regular leash around its neck scrolling through Wegmans. It's owners were casually walking through the store like it was nothing unusual and we're chatting with several people who came up to talk to them and pet their dog - something that is not allowed with a service dog. It didn't seem like they were trying to pass this dog off as a service or support dog. What disturbed me the most was I witnessed this dog, taking its big head and rifling through the packages of hotdogs, moving them around, while it's owners just stood there, chatting with others. I was mortified! This was not a service/support animal. It was just a dog whose owners didn't feel like leaving him home and for me it was a huge sanitation violation that the Board of Health should be aware of. What amazed me the most though, is there were several employees milling about the store who saw this dog yet nobody seemed to be disturbed by this site. On my way out of the store I mentioned this to a manager who said any service or support animal must be identified with a vest or some other marking to be permitted in the store and then he went to chase them out. Just disgusting though. read more

This use to be a great chain of stores until they decided to be a chain like B.J.'s. Now they have very little name brands and they push the Wegmans brand food that is inferior yet the same price as the name brand products. I wish they'd go back to the way they did business. Also to, there employers use to be the best now the kids they hire are horrible no personality they have O social skills. They use to say hello when you checked now they grunt and say nothing. I hate Walmart and I forced to go back to B.J.'s where you must purchase 40 rolls of tolitpaper and 25 rolls of paper towels. read more
