I really like this location. Lots of parking (if it's not a weekend, but I would never ever go to a costco on the weekend!) Big new store that's always organized. Have been going to this Costco since they moved from their Grandview highway location and moved here. Never a disappointment! I love getting fruit here - whether it's frozen or fresh. Last week got a big thing of strawberries for less than $4! Watermelon season has also gotten me running back bi-weekly at $7 flat. No complaints on service. Sometimes line-ups get long at the cashier but go by pretty fast and all the workers are speedy. They only accept debit, cash, or Amex. You can spot out the newbs 10 miles away when their Visa or Mastercard does not work. Ha. The cafe is always a win and has a line-up but it goes by pretty fast too. Cash only but everything is pretty cheap, including $1.50 for a fountain drink and hot dog. Sometimes we order the XL pizza from there if we have something going on - great value. Wished they had more stuff comparable to Costco's across the border, and also that they had a Costco gas station at this one. read more

Costco is big but this location is gargantuan. :) I recommend chowing down on a hot dog and refillable bevie to sustain you until you find yourself at the cashier, cart brimming. For some of car-free individuals there is a nearby stop that all buses traveling north, end up at Brentwood skytrain station=useful! I have to admit, going to Costco can be kind of exciting. It's not just about buying groceries; it's about finding stuff you like in ridiculous quantities and at way cheaper prices than you pay in oh, a regular store. The bargains I'm getting - on Snapple! And soup! and granola bars! Whee! A giant pack of samosas! The drawback is that you can spend a stupendous sum on these bargains, and they don't take credit cards either. Going to Costco used to be a dirty secret, but I'm now coming clean about my mass-market lowbrow shopping habit. There I said it: I enjoy going to Costco. Especially when it's sample day and the electric frypans are a-sizzling. You definitely work off the snacking while lugging the stuff up to your apartment, and it's good for the brain to figure out how to Tetris the load into available cupboard space. Costco is my favourite place to go to when I'm craving for cheap hot dogs. For about $2 you can get a hot dog and a drink! It's crazy affordable and crazy GOOD! Of course it cannot compare to your typical Japa Dog, but it's decent enough. You gotta try their fries too! And better yet, make it a poutine! I think their poutines are $3-4 but it's huge and it's sooooo food-gasmic. Other then their fast food stand, I really don't go to Costco. A big and clean Costco as it should be. Plenty of fresh produce like vegetables and fruits, good meat and fish, bakery and ready to go meal. I love the cheese section .....so big and cheap. So many products but be careful the portion are huge. If you are part of a big family, it's the perfect grocery place for you. You have to get a 50 CAD membership card but it is well worth and you basically get back your money after your first visit. My big favourite the salmon with risotto filling (what a shame that I cannot eat it anymore) !!!! read more

The only people who don't like Costco are the people who don't have a membership or the people who can't handle waiting at all. They always have quality fruits on bulk. I love getting my bananas, oranges, strawberries and other basic fruits or vegetables here because they're always so amazing. I feel like I get the same taste all the time. It's really that amazing. They also have a lot of things you can't really get anywhere else. The queues here look long but the cashiers are quick to ring you through. I've always had good service here! The parking here is a dream (compared to the single line parking in Richmond. WHO DOES THAT?) I JUST CANT EVEN. I love Costco. The only black card I'll ever be able to flash is my Executive membership so at least I have that going for me... Also, the food. Must I say more? You can feed yourself for a week with $20 bucks here. I can't even believe the 2 dollar dogs come with a drink. My brain just can't comprehend. SICK DEALS EVERY WHERE. Going to Costco is definitely an adventure. You never know what you're going to find, you never know what's going to be new. I came here two years ago... Boy was it an adventure! Whenever you go to a Costco, you always stop by those free samples just to try something new that you have never tried before... Well, you can always get everything in ridiculous quantities as Christine had stated. I left Costco with lots of things, but the unique find of that visit was Green Tea Mocha. I have never heard or seen any such thing at that time! After making it, it was OKAY, not great, but definitely gave me a lot of excitement... Like I said, you'll never know what you'll get or what you'll find. Even one of the workers at Costco asked where in the world did I find such a product? Haha. It was fun. Oh. And definitely CANNOT, and that is a firm, I CANNOT leave Costco without some Poutine :) yum yum yum. Absolutely delicious. But here in the US, it's a Polish... Not that exciting as poutine, but still okay. It's not about the things you buy or the stuff you take home with you, it's about the adventure darn it! Hahaahaha. :) read more

Costco is alright if you have a $50 Membership card, and if you have a large shopping to do for a lot of people. Its not much price different than Real Canadian Superstore or Save-On-Foods. All three places are out of my way, so I shop at BUY LOW FOODS when I need stuff. They allow the Salvation Army to ring their Christmas Kettle bells there, I was at 2 different Costco stores in Burnaby. Superstore does too, but the STAFF are nicer at Costco. read more

QQ The staff here are very friendly for sure. The people who work at the customer service are amazingly friendly. Sometimes they don't even question a returns, which is a good thing.. *COUGH COUGH*. The parking is HUGE, and there is always ways to find the best parking ever. The cashier staff is not bad either. They are always so talkative to the members. They do their job efficiently and gracefully. I come here for cheap food from time to time and this place is amazing. Fast and cheap. I had worse experience from the staffs at the pharmacy in my life. I called them to ask if my meds was ready or not, they said it was ready. So I went and lined up for half an hour, then they said it was not ready and asked me to come back in 25 mins. So I came back after shopping, lined up again for half an hours, then they said one of the med was compound, so they would call me when it was ready, so I have to run another trip when it was ready. Then, I paid for my other med, and they said they don't have my insurance registered, and just asked me to leave my insurance card with them and come back in another 25 mins. I really want to say "fxxk". I asked the lady can she just input the insurance infor now, I don't have times to line up again. The attitude of the staff was awful, she said do you want the meds or not? I was like excuse me. Ended up I just took my insurance cards & leave. I can see why many people would love coming to Costco. The low prices, the delicious food and the bulkiness of the products. I would always come here shopping because honestly, who does not want to shop here. I like how everything is all laid back, but it can get busy at times. Kirkland Products is Costco's main product line and they have been producing some of the most realistic products at fair prices since Costco would tend to sell around 3,000 products in higher bulk while other stores would buy as much as 250,000 products and sell it at high price (since it is mainly about economics) I hope people do shop here more often especially for bodybuilders and athletes because that is where you can get the right type of food you need for your muscle gains at cheaper prices. read more

Boy is it tough to find parking at this location. Came on a Sunday and circled around the lot a few times before finding parking on the street. Typical layout that you would find at a Costco. Lots of people inside. The selection of goods here is not bad. It's just too bad there's so many people here. Can't leave without spending a couple of hundred bucks. The best deal here is the quarter pound hotdog and refillable drink for only $1.50. But next time I go to a Costco it will be down south since they have a better selection of things and the prices are cheaper. Plenty of parking and way less people. read more

THIS IS FOR THE IN STORE RESTAURANT. 1. Parking, as I'm sure it is for most locations, is an absolute gong show. As you can imagine the demographic of customers coming into the lot, it's a miracle they can coordinate their feet to the ground, let alone to operate a vehicle. Through the haze of bilingual curses and hand gestures, I was able to squeeze into a parking spot. Mind you, I was working. Driving a 20 foot long truck is no easy feat, especially when your surrounding foot traffic is glued to cellular devices, and is unaware of the ped-designated pathways between the stalls. The scene of this Costco parking lot on an average afternoon is something out of a zombie film; slow walking, low IQ drones, drifting around on the middle of the road. The concrete islands in the lot are plastered with 'fire zone' signs, so if you're feeling delinquent, pull your ride up against the curb and hop out. Luckily for you, these spots are always open, because the signs are only in English, and the accompanying symbol of a flame most likely incites terror into your fellow shoppers. 2. Access to the booth is through the exit of the warehouse. Those of you that attend this location will have to push through hordes of unnattentive middle aged Burnaby residents, somehow unable to figure out how to not strike pedestrians with their 2 km/hr shopping carts. The battle to the booth has been complete. 3. Standing in line is wonderful. I find myself scanning across the sea of shoppers and food consumers. You can find all kinds of faces. Double points for the unattended children running around the eating area, until one of them trips and starts crying hysterically. People waiting for their food mingle with the lineup, fearing that it'll be snatched from them. There's not much room to breathe so if you're claustrophobic, beware. Also, finding a seat inside is very hard during peak hours; a lot of times there is 1 person saving a bench for 4. Bastards. I'd do the same, but I only get annoyed when other people do it. 4. The food is cheap. $1.50 for a hot dog and drink. God knows which rat trap they emptied out to grind up that wiener but it does the job, unless you can't keep it down. The chicken strips and fries are great, and you can tick off your sodium intake for the next couple days. If you order food here, show some respect to the workers. They have to serve at least a thousand morons daily and there's not much employee turnover. Every time I've gone, it's the same people taking my order. It's not their fault the food is made out of recycled meat. It's just the 9 to 5 for them. So show some respect and don't get short with them because they lost track of their order. There's only 5 God damn things to choose from its not like they can put a face to the selection. read more

Terrible. I'm a regular but hadn't been since COVID. The store is as crowded as it was before the virus. Which was fine then, but not safe now. No social distancing possible in that crowd. To top it off they had employees herding the cash register lineups - telling people to move up, closer together! Awful. The whole place is an enormous hot spot waiting to happen. The only drawback for customers is, that you have to have a membership card to get in and purchase food. I loathe grocery shopping so I'm going to review Costco as a 'restaurant' and a clothing store. Okay - here it comes: BEST VALUE HOT DOG *AND* POUTINE in Vancouver. Ya... I *said* it... best value hot dog and poutine in Vancouver. Not the cheapest -- not the absolute best... just the most bang for yo' dolla. Poutine - steak fries, tasty gravy and big cheese curds - $4 for a portion large enough for at least 2 people. The biggest factor being fries - always piping hot and crispy. I honestly don't understand the hype behind 'specialty' poutine joints - La Bella Patate has soggy fries and double the price - Anny's Dairy Bar is way too far out of the city. You can claim all the authenticity you want... talk about 'squeaky' cheese curds or the quality of gravy... but without solid fries, any poutine is an instant fail. It's like saying serving top-quality sushi over overcooked rice. In my opinion, fries (like rice to sushi) is the meal itself... not a delivery vehicle for gravy and cheese. Never had a bad poutine at Costco - ever. Hot Dog - $2 with a drink - just a tasty jumbo hot dog on a bun. Self serve topping bar is always stocked with sauerkraut, peppers, onions - and of course, ketchup, mustard and relish. Only way this could be better is if they had pickles and the onions were grilled. Just an honest-to-goodness solid, cheap and filling hot dog - the only down point is that the bun can be a bit soggy at times. In absolute flavour, it's not as good as the infamous Japadog, but you really can't ignore the price differential. And it's worth the money over those crap $0.50 hot dogs you can find at Ikea. Cash only and you don't need to be a Costco member to eat at the snack bar (just enter through the 'exit' pass customer service) - hell, I'm not a member (... or the president...) and I come to this Costco often to grab a quick and cheap meal. Come with a friend with a Costco card and load up on dirt cheap underwear and socks or any other basic clothing that requires frequent rotation. Ever wonder how I can afford to have such a massive collection of kicks and fitteds? $20 'brand name' shirts and pants from Costco that last longer than one wash unlike most budget clothing lines. Yup - I'm a miser and I love it. No matter how much money you have, nothing beats scoring a good deal. I get off on this shit. read more

I love Costco!! I love their bulk packaging (that is sometimes a challenge to finish), their free samples, their cheap and delicious food, and their always super early holiday merchandise (they're selling Halloween candies and costumes in August!!). I also love how instead of throwing their empty boxes away, Costco makes them accessible to customers so they are able to use them to store their purchased goods. This Costco is a little more calmed down compared to the one in Richmond or Downtown. I like coming here to sample things. I find this place helpful for some of the larger items, however, the prices on selected things, bulk or not aren't as comparable to the US. They need to open a lane for those who have 12 items or less. This has always been my pet peeve. read more

They do have good deals there at the cafeteria. It is convenient for customers that shop there to grab a quick bite. A hot dog and a drink for 1.50 $ is a super good deal. They also have burgers, pizza, fries, ice-cream etc available. Make sure you go around and try their samples and Costco does offer good deals on bulk items. However I doubt that I can save my 50$ worth on membership buying food in bulk there. Be prepared that it will turn into a war-zone on weekends. Parking is available in lot. read more

Well, I was at my favourite store again - Costco. I stopped by the cell phone kiosk to look at phones with my kid (I was actually going to buy water). I promised her, she could get one when she goes into grade 8. Josh and Brittaney are the go to people. They were so patient with her while she mulled over the phone, her plan and then her telephone number. Then they threw in some free stuff and a cash card to boot. Worst pharmacy in BC. The only reason I come here is because my insurance company makes me. The assistants who take your prescription are condescending and rude. You wait in Seinfeld-like lines until you are instructed to step forward, and your prescription will not be ready at the time they give you on the receipt. Any prescription which requires compounding takes several days, so hopefully you won't need your medication immediately. read more

What is fascinating are the customers which is the reason I took off a star b/ c Costco lets them get away w too much crap. When buying a large ticket item do your reseach. It hillarious to see how people bring things back. Another thing is at the sampling. I will not wait in line for a sample but lots of people do. Last w/e they were giving out dish soap. I was second in line & heard the lady in front of me strike up a conversation " and does it work for grass stains". Duh! I said to the sampler I know how to use dish soap . I just want a free bottle like the other moochers do & yes I was a moocher too. Everyone likes something for free so lets move along I thought.
