Drive through

Drive through is convenient. Didn't love the burrito it was bar b coa. It was soggy and didn't realize there was rice inside which was overpowering and didn't taste done and it was tough.

Don't waste your time or money... Definitely avoid the shrimp tacos. Food was low quality and low quantity. Shrimp tacos a joke. $14.00 for a couple reheated pre-cooked shrimp and a tiny ladle of mango salsa on overcooked dry tortillas. Quiet Disappointment.

Chile Verde Burrito

Ordered takeout. The Chile verde burrito is a good size with very tasty pork, choice of beans and rice with small salad on side. Came smothered in cheese by default. I'd probably get another item to split if really hungry but good size for me.

Chicken Tortilla Soup

Ok so I usually don't review just one item however I think costa vida needs to see this ! You have no business selling this soup it's disgusting! Two pieces of chicken in the whole soup then you don't use fresh avocado you use a paste . You need to go to a few Mexican restaurants and learn how to make it not just use some pre made crap that shouldn't be sold as chicken tortilla soup . You should be embarrassed to even sell it . Or stop selling it period !

This place looks way better on Yelp than actually purchasing at restaurant. The drive thru people didn't give us the drink with our meal or any napkins and utensils. We were so hungry and exhausted after hiking Zion that we didn't check to see if we had everything (our own fault) only to find that we were not given the aforementioned. This is a low end Chipotle or Qdoba. Rice was bland, beans were ok, enchilada tasted funny, and the honey salsa was more honey than spice.

inconsistency with food portion and recipe. The queso is a prime example, swinging between a bizarre tomato soup taste and a grimy texture. As for the steak tacos, they disappoint with their sparse meat filling. Overall, a disappointing experience that falls short of expectations.

Most pathetic sweet pork enchiladas I've ever seen.

We ordered dinner from the Hurricane, Utah Costa vida tonight. I order the two enchiladas with sweet pork. The pathetic amount of sweet pork they put in my enchiladas is embarrassing. My tortillas were hard and impossible to cut into bite size pieces. They just broke into large chunks. To put into perspective how disgusted by this Costa Vida I am, I created this account just to review them. I will never give this place my business ever again.

Small portion of rice and beans with little sauce.

The amount of rice and beans equaled about 2 tbsp. ( what is shown in the photo is how much we were given less one bite). Each. The sauces all tasted like they were watered down and it's become a common thing to not put a lot of sauce on and the sauce is what makes going out to Mexican restaurants great. The food was hot but the gentleman at the drive thru window was no peach. We may always have a tendency to compare Costa Vida with Cafe Rio but it has always been acceptable being it is close to home. This visit last week was not impressive.

My boyfriend and I came into town and decided to try this place out around 3pm. The place was decent and customer service was okay--could be improved. They don't really take much initiative to ask if we have any questions, considering we looked a little lost about the menu. I got the sweet pork nachos and my boyfriend got the sweet pork and chicken burrito. We both got the mango sauce on our food, which was pretty good. The burrito was not rolled/wrapped very well so everything fell out and ended up being eaten like a salad.. The nachos were good; I got a regular size and thought I could finish it but realized that they really stack the toppings. Overall, I would say this place is fairly good.

I visited here for lunch and was impressed by how fresh the food was. The handmade tortillas were awesome as well.

El Jinete is your Mexican restaurant that definitely is authentic. I'm not sure which regional…read morecuisine. There's a salsa bar, and I ordered the cheese enchiladas. The beans were great. My wife had a very nice veggie burrito. Not vegan friendly but veggie friendly. I would rate the food 4.6/5.0- round up to 5. My wife loved her food, and I loved the salsas. They were spicy.

Holy cow, we are SO GLAD we did!!! We ordered so much food because as a family we were starving and we also wanted to try everything! The fry their own tortillas for their hardshell tacos. They had 3 hardshell tacos for just $5! What a deal. The Chile Relleno burrito was really good. It's a big burrito stuff with 1 or 2 chile relleno's and rice then grilled. It's soooo good! I really loved the Birria Tacos. It's 2 tacos filled full of barbacoa, onions & cilantro served with a great portion of consommé with a side of rice and homemade refried beans. This might have been my favorite dish that we tried. We also really enjoyed the Chile Verde. It's a large portion of tender flavorful pork, corn tortillas and rice and beans. We thoroughly enjoyed this as well. We ordered a variety of different street tacos with different meats and loved them all. There is even a salsa bar so you can get your own hot sauces they make in house, limes and even pickled jalapeno's and carrots! Everything about this establishment is a win! The staff is friendly, the music playing, the decor was just so authentic. We couldn't have picked a better place for dinner that night. We left extremely full and happy! If you're in the area do not miss the opportunity to eat here.
