Gross. The lettuce was brown, my tortillas were doughy & the guacamole was not fresh. I took the side I paid extra for and asked if they had fresher guacamole. The employee told me it was the freshest they had. I threw it away. The employee making the tortillas is clueless and mangled every single one. Everything was way too salty. I've been to several Costa Vida's and I left this one with an upset stomach and I couldn't finish my meal. I will never come back to this location. read more

I've been coming here since it opened in Pocatello. They must have changed management because lately their portions on their salads are so little. I went today and got 3 salads when I got to the register they looked like 3 different item. One salad didn't even have any lettuce on it and the last one was really full of lettuce. I just don't understand why they were so different??? Plus the people making our food were not friendly at all. That wasn't how it used to be. I guess Cafe rio will be getting my business. Well we went back, and we had a much better experience, because I started off my order with telling her I wanted to separate checks! She was very nice. Although as she gave us the rest of our food she then said thanks have a good night....BUT THEN FORGOT MY SPRITE! then after we finished dinner, we found something suspicious in the salad. Each time I update them I have to take away one star soon they will have no stars left. Used to like this place few years ago.However looks like they got rid of their incentive program ever since.Excuse me , but I am not willingly installing your app on my phone just to save couple bucks. My personal favorite was their steak salad.The quantity of meat in it was kinda decreasing through the years though.My wife enjoyed their burritos. Their hours are not very convenient and it sounds to me like not the smartest business idea to close the restaurant on week end. Once we tried to get there something for my mother in-law and they were closed on Mother's day. I understand , that will it be Valentine's , Mother's or Father's days those are not Official Federal Holidays, but smart business owners , who try to keep their gift-shops and restaurants open early and close late on those days usually feel , that they are greatly compensated for their efforts . Tried their new location by Wal-mart and first couple times it was decent , but the third time , which was precisely 2 days ago 6/7/2017 I noticed chunks of CHICKEN in my grilled STEAK salad.I would suggest they retrain their personnel to see the difference between beef and chicken and if it is too hard , people who see no difference between beef and chicken should be employed elsewhere. A friend of mine always says Cafe Rio is way better, after reading the reviews for Poky one though I am not sure if I should try it. But from my last attempted visit yesterday it almost feels like those guys are in cahoots with Burger King , redefining fast food and customer service.Yesterday stopped by shortly after 9 , there was only 1 ( ONE ! ) vehicle before me.The rep told me he will be with me in a minute and disappeared for 10 ... So I decided to drive through their drive-thru to a different place and yet there was a vehicle in front of me...So had to back up from this not customer oriented place to Freddy's. I've eaten at Costa Vida twice now, and while I really want to like it due to its proximity to Costco and clean, modern atmosphere, the food just isn't that good. Between my wife and I in the two visits, we've tried 4 dishes. My favorite of these was the shrimp tacos, which included nicely cooked shrimp and were topped with a nice pineapple salsa. Even though this dish was tasty, the experience was ruined by tortillas that completely disintegrated before I even attempted to pick up the taco. The other 3 dishes were lacking in flavor and we're not exactly bad, but I could help but wish I was eating either at the now-closed Bajio or one of the fine authentic Mexican joints scattered throughout the area. read more

I like Costa Vida. It's a good fresh alternative in fast food. Chicken taco salads, YUM! Also dig the fish tacos, with lime. I eat at the one in Bountiful, UT, the one in Pocatello was just as good. I was happy to see the consistency, sometimes chains give the familiar menu when your adventurous side is weary! read more

I don't leave reviews often and that is because I know we all have bad days but this was hands down the worst experience I've had at a Costa Vida. I should have known by the empty parking lot that something was up. Nevertheless I pushed on. There was only one person in line and they worked there based off his shirt that said Costa Vida and his friendliness to his fellow coworkers. As I waited I watched this "off the clock" employee talk to his fellow co workers for several minutes, me not being in a rush decided to let it fly....until I sat there for 5-10minutes being ignored. When a young lady saw me from the back she came over and served me. I thought all my waiting was done but no she passed it down the line to the next person who walked away as soon as it was pushed their way. Then I witnessed the "off the clock" employee walk behind the counter no mask no hair net nothing and start serving himself because his fellow coworkers had ignored him also. All said and done though I got my food and drove home to find my utensils missing which unfortunately for Costa Vida led me to making this review. Petty it may be but I was unimpressed . read more

This place is awesome!! I am from way out of town & don't have this chain back in Oregon so I yelped it. Was a little skeptical from other reviews but it was a wonderful experience! Super delicious and fresh for "fast food." I had a chicken burrito with mango sauce. Yum!! So many options for the whole family at reasonable prices. Very unique, delicious, & fresh! I am not from here and maybe my taste buds are different but this is just another disappointment. The reviews are awesome, many have said that it was good, and they always seem to be busy. All signs were good, until we ate the food. Sweet pork is awful and should never be ordered. Ingredients are season less and veggies are bland. This is no Chipolte, Moes, or Qudoba. I visit this location often and the staff provide very consistently great service. Today I ordered a small chicken salad with cheese, chips, lime, and sour cream. When I picked it up, the salad also had guacamole on it. Unfortunately for me, I'm extremely allergic to avocado. I realized once I had arrived back to work. So, I called in to be greeted by a very friendly staff member who was sensitive to the fact that it was my lunch hour and I didn't have much time. She had a new salad with no guacamole and all of the other ingredients previously requested! Overall, great service! read more

Apparently costa vida allows puppies in their fine establishment. Although very unsanitary the manager seemed to think it was okay and proceeded to pet the dog while wearing latex gloves, then walked behind the counter (where the food was being served) with the gloves still on. I couldn't see what he did from there because he went behind the wall where they actually prepare the food. He was more afraid of hurting his buddies feelings than following the health code. I would highly advise against eating here. They were also out of rice (3 hours before closing) and their ice maker was broken, giving me ice out of a bucket that had at least twenty different peoples hands in it because there was nothing to scoop the ice out with. A Mexican joint running out of rice during rush is like a burger joint being out of burgers. It shouldn't happen. I will never set foot in here again, even if I was paid to do so. I hope I save at least one person from getting sick by posting this review. read more
