Well I will never eat here again and buyer's beware. I ordered a 40$ meal for my family. I was the only one that didn't get the condiments I ordered on my burger. So I took it back. That decision was a very bad mistake. Five guys wanted to give me to go cups with the condiments, for my now cold burger? I told them to remake it and do it right. Big mistake!! While decidedly not the best burgers EV-AR, 5 guys is pretty darn good. Their small burger is what most normal human beings call a regular, while their regular is a double and way too much food for lil ol' me. Meat is juicy and tastes fresh. They go overboard on the toppings. I love me some ketchup and mustard, but I also like to taste the meat too. I get the grilled shrooms and onions, then put my own K & M on it when I take it to go. As for the fries... tasty. Freshly cut and only slightly too much salt (as opposed to most places where you wonder if you ordered fries with your salt). Portions are copious. A regular fry is shared by me, Husband, and Toddler with room to spare. Their large I believe is a full paper bag. I understand the complaints about the prices. Given the portions, however, we order less food, so it all ends up about the same in the end. Ambiance? It's clean even when busy and has a diner type of feel. Good enough for me. Sure, it's great that they have "free" toppings, but their food really isn't very good. Their fries are always over salted, too greasy, and never crisp; the burger, while moist and tender, is also greasy, unseasoned, and has to be drowned in toppings and condiments to be enjoyed. This place is just as good as all the other five guys I have dined at. I love the taste of their beef and the peanuts available to munch on while waiting for the food to cook. I usually go for something I like to call the bunless wonder. It is the burger wrapped in lettuce and then go all the way with added jalapeños and extra hot sauce. This really is a delicious meal that will give you a nice shot of protein. Now if I could only avoid the cajun fries. They are addicting and when coupled with "fry sauce" can be downright Dangerous. Stuff like this, traveling outside of the known food realms, off into what could be a wonderland dream or a cruel nightmare, but without any reasonable base to go on...in that case, it's nice to have stuff like this, which is a higher end chain, with fairly consistent guidelines, so you can concentrate on things other than the daunting task of finding the right restaurant. Here they did a passable job. Burger was a touch on the dry side, but otherwise fine. Nuts and fries were within reason and the Coke Zero on tap was pretty solid as well. No real room for serious complaint, but nothing particularly impressive, either. If you want them to make you a burger my way, choose either single or double patty, add cheese, bacon, mushrooms, jalapenos, A-1 sauce and get thee face full. Sometimes I will also add green peppers and less frequently a little splash of lettuce, but that's more of an option; the other toppings are standard. read more

My husband and I love love love 5 Guys, and most of the time it's excellent! But.....you have to be careful, especially when they change the oil! While I appreciate clean frying oil as much as the next person. I also prefer the oil to be hot when cooking that delicious mound of fries! This place is solid 3.5 stars. The people behind the counter are incredibly friendly and helpful. The seasoned fries are good. The burger meat was juicy and nicely cooked. Now the bad: The grilled mushrooms and grilled onions are mushy and way too much ketchup/mustard. The tomato and lettuce didn't help. The wet mushiness of the toppings makes the bread soggy. Not so pretty. The burger meat and fries are worth going back for, though I think I'll get raw onions, no mushrooms, and ask for ketchup,mustard packets to put on myself.
