Great old building! I had the Elk burger. The Elk was great. The bun was past it's prime. I was looking forward to the fries, this being potato country but alas, they were just ordinary. We were in Pocatello for the day and found this place by chance and so happy we did! The food was excellent! And the service was amazing. Blake took great care of us. The fish n chips were sooo good and nachos were delicious and huge. Also, they make hand crafted cocktails that are pure perfection! We were road-tripping our way to Grand Teton when hunger hit, so naturally, I turned to my trusty Yelp to find some comfort food. That's how we landed at this spot in downtown Pocatello, tucked beside a train station and right next to an old Greyhound bus stop. The place is packed with character, sitting in what used to be an old hotel--though, sadly, it's no longer in business. They've got daily specials, and since it was Tuesday, I went for the taco special. You get to pick between fish, shrimp, or pork, and I went with the battered fish. Gotta say, it was perfectly battered and lightly seasoned, paired with a solid aioli sauce that really worked with the fish tacos. One of my buddies ordered the salmon salad and said it was solid, while my other friend went for chicken strips and was just as satisfied.The menu leans heavy on burgers and sandwiches, so if that's your thing, you're in the right spot. Owner called me "charity " lol and refused my order for wanting their advertised 5$ Burger. Let me explain 12o'clock afternoon I call in for a 5$ Burger and fries which are $8.99 and I needed a drink I like ice tea. Let's say that was $3 bucks or so.... ok folks let's add that up 5+9+3 =17 plus tip sitting at over 20 dollars for lunch and that is not enough... management does not respond well to criticism if you can't afford to offer what you advertise take it off the menu greedy worm. read more

I was looking for a nice, cute bar that had Mac & Jacks since it seems to be a favorite up here. Well I saw that they say they have the best wings in town, and me being a wing fanatic, had to try em out! They have exceeded my expectations, and handle their rushes like pros!! If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The service was lousy. They didn't know what beers they were serving. We were told the Jeremiah Johnson Mountain Man was a brown. It's a Scotch Ale. We were told the special only included the fish and chips when the ad on the television behind them said it included the fish tacos. They never even offered us water or an extra plate for the food we were sharing. The food was way over priced; $17 for a mediocre BLTA. And the bathroom is for both male and female at the same time with no lock on the door or stall. Stay away from this place! read more

Overall enjoy but the fish and chips were rancid. Maybe it was an off night, and it won't keep me from trying their other food choices, but the fish was so terrible that I couldn't even swallow it and it really ruined my appetite. A big bummer! :( read more
