UPDATE: Still love the food. But I am tired of being treated like a bother when I come in, so will probably be looking for another place for my family and I to grab our sandwiches. Been coming here for 7+ years and am currently disappointed with employees' inability to say "Hello," or even "Thank you," when the transaction is finished. Definitely noticed both last night when the sandwich starter employee acted like it was a huge bother to make one more sandwich. If you're too tired to make a sandwich or greet a customer maybe it's time for you to take a break. Or a walk around the block. The man who rang me up acted like he couldn't be bothered-he wasn't really paying attention-and there was no "thank you" at the end. Seems like the front line on the "restaurant" side is more concerned about helping customers and staff from the "pub" side. So disappointing. read more

A really well run, locally loved sandwich place. The food was great, lots of choices, hot, grilled or cold sandwiches, a solid selection of salads, & pizza! Prices were also quite reasonable. The service was very good, it was lunchtime when we arrived & were served & enjoying our meal in less than 10 min. Plenty of outside seating if the day is nice. read more

We've been coming here for 7+ years and never have had a complaint until today. My wife ordered me a #5 sandwich, with lettuce tomato, pickles and banana peppers. Apparently that meant 1 pickle slice on the entire sandwich, 1 tomato slice each half and 2 pieces of a banana pepper on one half, that's it, pathetic. It was a sandwich made in a hurry with little care for how it came out. I don't know if I'll be back. My wife ordered a French Dip, allegedly. She was given about 2 tablespoons of Au Jus to dip her sandwich in. Her sandwich was flattened like it had been squished in a press with trace amounts of what I guess was beef. My wife and I decided to check out Goody's because we'd heard great things about it. The first thing I noticed was that they had three different places to eat. There's the deli, the pizza shop, and the pub. This time, we chose the deli. My wife ordered a regular-sized French Dip, and I got a giant Meatball. I was a bit bummed that the meat for both of our sandwiches came in a small container and then put in the "Microwaves 1 and 2." When we got the order, the food was okay, but the service and cleanliness were great. I just wish the sandwich had been a bit better. read more

This place is delicious and so CHEAP wow it's so good. We had the Italian salad, Philly and a pepperoni pizza. The Italian salad was a delicious mix of meat and veggies, the cheesesteak had a white cheese and was so delicious and messy with mushrooms and peppers on it and toasted. The pepperoni pizza had a really thin crust with Italian seasoning on top and it was delicious. The price was so good. read more

This is a hidden GEM! They have sub sandwiches and pizza. I tried the pepperoni and bacon and it was 10/10! Crust was crunchy and the toppings were on point. I was told when I visit Pocatello to try this place and I'm so glad I did. When you visit it's across from ISU. GREAT PIZZA! Goody's is a sandwich shop and pizza kitchen that has the look and feel of a school cafeteria. Don't let that fool you. We were fortunate to stop in during a Christmas road trip to find the school-break empty dining room, decent salads and delicious white sauce Margherita pizza. I was spoiling for a fight, and I was in full b*!#$h Karen mode. With tremendous grace and kindness, Jessica at Goody's dealt with Door Dash, got me a full refund, and had the order remade and redone within a few hours. I got the margarita pizza. This was our first time there. They had a menu for you to read, but no visuals other than here, on Yelp. My sister was holding her baby in a car seat, and we wanted to be able to sit and look at the menu, but the guy told us we needed to stand there, by the counter (it's not sit and server type setting). That was annoying. We felt rushed, there were no other customers. The guy just stared at us and tapped his fingers. I finally ordered what I did, because I figured, if they make their own crust, and the pics in previous reviews looked amazing.. it has to be good right!? No.... No. Visually, absolutely it looks amazing! But flavor, completely not there. I got a medium size, waited 30min, hot as hell (fine, it's fresh!) I ate one slice, so bland! Especially with "fresh basil", weird. The tomatoes were sliced so thin like a deli sandwich, not like pics I had seen previously, and were so flavorless it was basically a source of moisture - if that. I decided I could "doctor" it up at home better to make it worth eating. I came home, opened a can of diced tomatoes, topped my leftover pizza, sprinkled some salt and reheated it in the microwave... amazing!!! I won't be surprised if I crave it. When we first walked in it was not what I expected. It was set up more like a deli then a pizza place. There are two counters one for cold sandwiches the other for hot subs and pizza. We had to stand there for about 10 min before someone asked us if we had been helped, even though there were three others back there making food. After ordering we were told that there would be a 30 to 45 min wait since there was a few orders ahead of us. When the food came out I was impressed the small size pizza was a good size even the individual cheese I ordered for my daughter was a good size. The western pizza we ordered was really good. The pizza crust had a great crunch to it, herbs that decorated the top helped add to the overall flavor. The margarita pizza was flavorful also. I just wish the tomatoes were a bit bigger, still can't figure out how they got the slices so thin, but the flavor was amazing. The French dip my son ordered was an open-faced cut into 6 slices, the French bread it was on was flavorful, soft with a nice toast to it. Over all I would define come back. Only downfall was how long it took to take our oder and to get it to us. read more

The pizza is mediocre at best. The pizza dough is not made fresh. For frozen pizza dough it's decent but if it is made fresh it's horrible. Sauce is ok...better than Bigfoot's for sure. Toppings and cheese were pretty good. I also had cheese bread it was a little charred but I like that. It was a lot better than the pizza. I will go back to try the sandwiches and maybe the bombs. Hopefully they're better than the pizza. 10 minutes after I posted this I was trying to finish one last slice and ended up chewing on a piece of foil. My husband and I got goodys this past week because we have all been sick. Many say the pizza is bad. They are wrong. We are huge pizza people as it is my husband's favorite type of food. It's great and given the price totally worth it. It was approved of by all including my picky toddler. I got a hot Ruben that was awesome! The service here was top notch, food was excellent. My family and I ordered a variety of items from the menu and were not disappointed with anything that was ordered. I had ordered wings and the cook brought out extra because the ones the served me they felt were too small. That extra step meant a lot and we will be frequenting this place. Passing by on the highway and looked up delis in Pocatello and Goodys came up. It was a great find we loved our sandwich's.
