    Clam pasta
    Stephanie A.

Food: Very good and generous portions. Clam pasta: the sauce was creamier than I expected and I wish it had a little more garlic. I loved the touch of fresh basil chopped on top and it had easily over a dozen clams in shells. Cajun chicken pasta: personally I would prefer it a little spicier, but for my boyfriend who ordered it it was a little too spicy. It also had mushrooms that we weren't expecting. But very creamy and I love the pasta that comes in it holds the sauce well. Service: We sat at the tables closer to main Street on the way out we realized there were a lot of tables close to the bar, we may have gotten better service if we sat there. The waitress only stopped by once after bringing our food and then we had to wait a while for the check.

Park & A Italia is by far the best Italian restaurant in Idaho Falls. I got a Salmon Tortellini…read moredish with a balsamic glaze and I was blown away by how delicious and perfectly cooked the salmon was and the flavors all complimented each other perfectly. I ordered a soup for my wife and she wasn't particularly impressed with it and there was anything else that appealed to her and our waitress was very understanding and provided excellent service. The ambiance was very cozy and had a rustic character with the rough brick walls and string lights. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone wanting high quality delicious Italian food. My only critiques are that the soup was overly salty and that the serving could be larger. For example the tortellini soup only had 2-3 tortellini in it. The same went for my main salmon tortellini dish. It was maybe slightly larger than the size of my fist and had maybe 10 tortellini but still tasted delicious.

I am so exhausted of being ripped off by restaurants like this that write misleading descriptions…read moreof their food to scam customers. They described their scampi as having "heirloom tomatoes" which were merely cherry tomatoes. They sold me a side of "garden vegetables" that was merely 4 slices of julienned squash. "Shrimp and white wine stock topped with beschemel and parmesan" was in reality, just butter. This meal cost me $90+, but tasted like a child cooked it.

Their lasagna is quite good we also love their jalapeño garlic tilapia and the spicy shrimp and chicken. It is chain food and isn't like you'd get from a mom-n-pop type of restaurant. We think it's as good as or better than any other places including Olive Garden.

Pros: - Large menu with lots of options…read more Cons: - Dirty - Understaffed - Pizza had almost no toppings - Salad was missing half of it's ingredients - Overpriced This was my first visit to a Johnny Carino's and I see no reason to ever return. Upon entering the restaurant I noticed that there were at least five tables that had not been bussed long after the customers had left. I stood at the reception desk for about 5 minutes before I was acknowledged. There appeared to be only two wait staff and one cook working. I ordered food for carryout. My pizza had one slice of jalapeno and one piece of pineapple per slice for a $20+ small pizza. The Caesar salad on the menu listed at least six ingredients but the one that I received had only lettuce, cheese, croutons, and dressing, and cost $13.95. Prices are very high throughout the menu and the value is poor. Just go somewhere else, like a local pizza place or Italian restaurant.
