First of all the tables have QR codes to scan and order your food. I had the Ham and Cheese. It was delicious. It was also very chill.

This place gets one star more than Off the Rails Brewing, primarily for 3 reasons: the beer was tastier, cheaper, and the bartender was friendlier. unfortunately, this place ALSO has a flight of four beers with each beer priced differently. i understand if you have one beer that was expensive to produce, or is way more abv, maybe you charge more for it. but each beer? cmon now. overall, the flight here was about $10, while at the other place it was $15. the bartender was friendlier here, but i still had to go out of my way for conversation. Here's a tip: when the customer doesn't have a phone in their hands, perhaps ask an open-ended question. also, the barstools here suck only because of the height of the backrests. they need to be higher or lower, but as is, they cause discomfort. read more

Now THIS was a great experience! The ambiance was relaxing and the place was clean. Our servers, yes, multiple servers were very attentive and gave us some awesome beer recommendations. They had a food truck on site which served up some decent food, thank goodness! (The food we had at a previous brewery was awful!) Absolutely my favorite brewery! I joke that "I don't drink beer but I do at Jim Dandy!" They have excellent beer and sours, my all-time favorite is the Wild Bill, an English Amber. The atmosphere is very classic brewery but extremely clean, bright and airy (the back patio is a local hot spot). The service is impeccable. You will not go without a full glass in this business, they have happy employees who love doing their jobs and it keeps the energy positive and the customers...well, buzzed! They have a food truck from The Palate Bistro and they have great seasonal dishes like gumbo or Octoberfest items. Such an amazing place!!! We started at Portneuf Valley & had just an awful experience. Well the fine folks at Jim Dandy & Palate Street turned that around real quick!! My son said they checked on us more in the first 10m than PVB did in the entire 2+hrs we were over there-not getting food My husband had 2 flights of beer(4ea), said they were all great, wonderful, & unique, he truly enjoyed them all!! My kids had lemonade(Calypso), rootbeer(Stewarts), & Iced Tea(liquid death). I had water. The staff is amazing! Super friendly & caring! They put a stool up by the chalkboard so my youngsters could write, they brought over cars & a mallet, and a game of dominos(my younger kids are 9,10,12) They also had several TVs, I believe a college game was on....we talked & played dominos with the kids, I didn't notice much on TV, but it was there. All of the staff was attentive, talked with us, made sure our needs were met, it was wonderful!! This was the experience I was envisioning for our day in Pocatello when I planned a brewery stop for hubs!! We ordered food from Palate Street, everything was great(detailed review will be in the appropriate location)-we loved that it was right there in the courtyard! Prices are reasonable, food amazing & high quality, you can't go wrong!! By having 2 businesses, they can each focus on what they do best...and do it very well!! My son(20) said he would be happy to come down from Idaho Falls just to come here, he liked it that much!! If you're looking for a brewery stop in Pocatello, look no further, this is IT!! read more

This place is the BOMB! I was in Pocatello for 3 nights. First day hit all the breweries and landed here at last. Beer was great, started with the tasters. They had a happy hour burger special on Monday $8 for burger and truffle fries. Honestly, it was the best burger I've had in years! Went back Tuesday. Happy Hour Taco Tuesday. 1/2 off! Huge amounts of pork and shrimp in the tacos. Had the IPA and peanut butter stout? Awesome. Went back Wednesday, why take a risk trying a new place to eat drink when you discovered the best? Had the burger again! Sooo good. These folks really want you to enjoy your visit and will go above and beyond. Highly recommended you check them out! read more

Sadie was awesome! She was very friendly and informative about the brewery and area. All of the beers we had were great, but we really loved the Dark Sky and Wee Bonnie. The space is beautifully done. When we were there they had a painting class going on, so it was a full house. Certainly if we live there, it would be our place. If you are visiting or placing through like us, skip the other brewery it is not worth your time, this is the place to go! read more

Awesome spot with a fun brewery environment (inside and outside seating). Stopped by en route and so glad we did! Super friendly service! Ordered from the food truck and sat outside. Drank the hazy IPA while eating a kale Caesar salad and my partner got the blonde ale with the surf and turf burger. Delicious fries too!!!! We were looking for a nice place to get a decent microbrew and Jim Dandy did not disappoint! We checked Yelp and selected Jim Dandy because it was open on Sunday. No lie. That's why we chose it! Regardless, the beer was outstanding! I had a larger and my wife had a dark beer. Both were very good and and worth of a second round. The food is from a food truck, but it was unbelievably good. I had the French toast and my wife had the avocado toast. They both were fantastic! Jim Dandy's is well worth it! read more

So sad that we found this brewery at the very end of our stay in Pocatello. Great atmosphere, friendly staff (and politely wearing masks), great beers, and a good truck with pretty good food. I did a flight of beers from their stock. All really good, so good I bought a few to take on the road (not drinking on the road while driving though). Entirely too many people here. Again a place everyone said we must visit that was a let down. After sampling a few beers there wasn't really anything I liked and had to settle. Apparently there was a fundraiser going on that night, since we are from out of town we obviously didn't know that or anyone there and it just made for a busy bar and unpleasant experience. read more

I really enjoy the beer, but honestly, enough people have commented on that. I'm in it for the atmosphere. Pocatello is a college town, so it has lots of places for dancing, having a crazy night out, meeting new people, hooking up, etc. etc. No judgment for you college types, do yo thang! The staff are very friendly and super cool no matter who you are. They have a good variety of beers and other drinks to choose from. The seating can fill up fast.
