We visit Sun Valley several times a year and have driven past Sawtooth Brewery Public House more…read moretimes than I can count. There is almost always a large crowd gathered out front, which usually tells you everything you need to know--but we finally made a point to stop in for lunch on a beautiful sunny day. The Brews Since it's a public house, the beer list is extensive. I opted for their Pilsner and Lager. Both were exactly what you want on a warm afternoon: light, crisp, and incredibly refreshing. The Food We decided to put their "best in town" claims to the test, and they did not disappoint: * Fish and Chips: They advertise these as some of the best around, and I'm happy to report they aren't exaggerating. The breading was perfectly light--not greasy or heavy--and the fish itself was delicate, flaky, and cooked to perfection. * BLT with Grilled Halloumi: My wife went with this, and the addition of the halloumi was a game-changer. Served on a pretzel bun, it was a unique and delicious twist on a classic. * The Fries: You can't have a pub lunch without good fries. These are those "just right" beer pub fries--crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Easily my favorite style. Verdict The atmosphere was great, the service handled the crowd well, and the food was fantastic. We will definitely be back for lunch on our next trip. If you're in Ketchum, don't just drive by--give it a try.

It's a pub! Come in, order, and find a seat! They offer both alcoholic and nonalcoholic tap drinks…read moreor cans. So there is something for everyone! From the mug club, it seems like this is a local staple. There's trivia on Tuesdays. TVs on the walls. Picnic tables outside, if you're so inclined. I think some pubs just order from Sysco, fry it up and serve. Five stars because they're not doing that! Their food was "pub" but the elk burger was handmade and fresh, the pot pie wasn't out of a can thought the veg maybe been frozen not fresh, and some of the store bought stuff like their pretzel seemed better than a defrosted ballpark.

We followed it with the corned beef soup, which was more like a rich, hearty stew. The tender brisket literally melted in your mouth. And for the potato lovers--this place is heaven! Mashed, home fries, and balsamic fries... we just had to try it all. Even though we were completely full, we couldn't pass up GMA's "Slutty" Peanut Butter Brownie. Warm, topped with ice cream, whipped cream, cookie crumbles, Fruity Pebbles, fresh strawberries, and hot fudge... and yes, we finished it. Now we're officially in a food coma! A huge thank you to our Uber driver--and owner of the Yellowstone Motel--for recommending this unique spot. Between the amazing food and a fun LA born server it made for one of the most memorable dining experiences we've had in a long time. Thank you, Ava--we'll definitely be back!

April 2026 Idaho Falls, Idaho…read more I was surprised to see this place is attached to a hotel when I drove up. Typically I do not eat at restaurants that are attached to a hotel. However, Yelp told me it was a 4.3 star place to eat. I asked if they had any nonalcoholic beers. The waiter brings me a can of beer to show me what it is. When I tell him that I will have it. He says well I'll just take it back and put it in a glass. So they bring me a 16 ounce glass with the beer poured in and it only filled 12 ounces. I ordered the Nacho Mama's Dip. It is a chicken nacho dip. The waiter told me it was a large portion so I am eating that just as my meal. My husband ordered the fish and chips. When you walk in the front door, the bar is right there. Pretty large bar for one to sit and enjoy a drink or a meal. To the right our booths and high tables that line the wall as well as some booths in the middle of the restaurant that make you feel like you are sitting under a gazebo. There are tables and booths on the far wall as well. The tables are cut to appear like a live edge wood top table. The booths sit too low and the table sits high. Even my husband who is 6'2 felt an imbalance with the table to chair. My nachos come out and the cheese sauce is dripping off the side of the dish. It is an absolute mess. The nacho chips are off to the side. The toppings consist of black olives and onions with four pieces of diced tomatoes. Accompanied by a side plastic dish is salsa, sour cream, and guacamole. The guacamole is definitely not homemade. My biggest complaint is the cheese sauce is definitely from a can. The cheese that they did put on the nachos was a slice of cheese that was not even melted. See picture. Reminds me that I am eating in a restaurant attached to a hotel. There are no beans. The chicken is mixed in with the cheese sauce. And it is sparingly there. This dish is absolutely disgusting! The fish and chips were terrible. They're served in a basket with four pieces of fish and they sit upon fresh cut fries. The fish was not good. The batter has a odd taste. Perhaps the oil it is fried in? I think I would've been better off going to Culver's and having their fish platter. Although my beYr was in a can, it was very cold. It was truly the best part of my meal. I am so disappointed that yelp led me to this place. This is my warning to others. Stay away. We had two completely different meals and neither of them were good.

Sully's has the best burgers I've had in Idaho, in fact ever!…read moreBetter than Snake Bite by a wide margin and even better than Big Jud's. You gotta get here quick! Ambience: Clean, well decorated, feels like a pub but a clean one. Staff: lovely and lively wait staff, wonderful food for a fair price, good portion sizes generally. Kristina is cheerful and awesome and her Bento cakes are incredible! Well balanced burgers: I keep coming back for the taste and the size of their 1/2lb burger is just right for us hungry boys! The slap yo granny is my favorite!!! It is sweet, savory, a little sour, and spicy from the pickled peppers, the tiniest hint of bitterness from the greens. The sweetness of the blueberry compot balances the spice and fat from the burger rather exceptionally. And the house made pickles are the bomb. Very messy though especially with a beard lol. The best and most balanced burger I have ever had!!! It's so good I've been around 10 times and almost always get the Slap yo granny lol. I'd miss it to much to try anything else. The samurai burger and russian cucumber is great if you want something fresh but not sweet, the humongous fungus is another really good one. Fries: The epitome of a homemade Idaho fry, but not to greasy which I appreciate. The sidewinder fries are epic and my favorite, and the waffle sweet potatoes fries are great as well. Although the $2.50 up-charge I don't love, especially for the size of the fry. For the upcharge I wish you got a little or a lot more. The regular fry is adequately portioned. They have a really well seasoned made in-house fry sauce that is delightfully smoky and sweet, and balances out the fries very nicely. It is one of the best fry sauces I've ever had, and I have had a lot of them. Constructive criticism: For the up-charge on the unique and tasty fries add a few more or lower the charge a bit. It's the only thing that feels a bit scamish as I've walked away several times feeling like I could have had just a few more I would have been satisfied. I'm willing to admit that's a me problem possibly, that being said I'm not a fatty, I'm actually a small dude, so take that for what it's worth. The Men's bathroom needs a couple updates, a divider for the urnal for privacy for the shy guys, and for those of us who don't want to see some crusty private bits walking in the door. And a privacy bar to fill the gap in the stall, of which you can see into the stall right at the person on the lue, in a slightly larger manner than feels safe, especially for children's safety, it not exactly appetizing for how delicious of a restaurant this is. And Extra points awarded for some of the cool shows playing on the tv's, especially The Bob Ross Channel. The parking is adequate but it is downtown and spots do get full so you may have to look around.

We're not into fries of which there were many options, but you could upgrade to a salad, Caesar salad, or soup of the day. The sizes were enormous! We immediately asked for a to go box, and placed half of each sammich into it. The upgraded sides were great, so we ate them all. The soup was clam chowder; first I'd had in years; it was very tasty and a delightfully little spicy. We split the other half sammiches between us; I found the pastrami to be excellent, the french dip good, but nothing to distinguish itself. When a first visit makes us want to come again, that's always a good sign!
