Everything we had was wonderful. Lunch pizza special with pepperoni with the salad. The salad was cold and crisp which I like and the ranch dressing is so good!!! My partner in crime had the pizza sub which he said was really good. They make their own pizza crust and bread too by the way! We are new to the area and I have been searching for my best pizza. I think I have now found it and will definitely be returning. The whole staff is friendly and there is a peaceful ambiance. The music played today was top notch as well. Papa Kelseys has always been a solid place to go for pizza, sandwiches and salads. They use quality ingredients and I'm fairly confident they bake their own bread which is amazing in it's own right. I've never had a bad experience here. It's not a fancy dine in restaurant, but has a decent ambience about it. The staff has always been friendly and if I have time to sit and eat, I enjoy doing so here. Today I had the whole steak sandwich and a small order of fries. The sandwich was toasted perfectly and it was hot, cheesy and super tasty. The fries were hot, crispy and soft on the inside. Not sure what more you could ask for. The portions weren't mind blowing, but they weren't skimpy either. I myself like a little more meat on my sandwich, but for the price I was charged, I was not disappointed. 8.6/10 read more

Just moved into the neighborhood. Saw this place and thought we'd give it a try. I'm sorry but the food was terrible. I'm talking elementary school cafeteria terrible! The crust seemed to be poor quality frozen dough. The sauce tasted like grocery store spaghetti sauce. I've literally had way better pizza from a gas station! Our relatives brought us here while we were visiting. We ordered pastrami, steak and rib sandwiches. My pastrami tasted good and came with sauerkraut and chips. For some reason, today when I was passing I stopped in for lunch, and I have to tell you the sandwiches are delicious! Yesterday I was so disappointed that I have to share. I drove 30 minutes out of the way because I was craving a turkey sandwich. This place has gone so downhill. My sandwich tonight, as well as the past few times, was the most pitiful excuse for a sandwich I've ever seen. I got a veggie sub, which basically ended up being two crusts of bread (98% of the sandwich itself), two slices of tomato, a bit of onion, couple strands of green pepper, 2 black olives, and a bit of cheese. A veggie sub should be so jam-packed with veg that you don't even miss having meat. This, however, left much to be desired. It's a massive shame, as my family have frequented this this place since I was a kid -- but now it's just a waste of money. You're better off going to Arby's, which says a lot. read more

Pizzas are so so, but the sandwiches are Awesome! My favorite is the roast beef combo. Chips are small bag. A little pricier than a subway or blimpies, but fresh homemade warm bread can't be beat. First off, I've grown up in Pocatello and love this place. The food was always delivered hot, great subs, and it's just a Pocatello staple. Food wise , 5/5. With that being said, after tonight, I'm not going back. I ordered 3 subs, and it took them 45 minutes. There was constant yelling in the kitchen. And the older gentleman, who I've assumed is either the owner, general manager, or both, could not control the situation. Part of the problem was that a new girl was training, however, instead of working with her and working together, all I head was how she was a f*** up, and how horrible she was doing from her coworkers. I was appalled. They couldn't keep orders straight and they had even lost another customers order. During all this, I never saw the older gentleman do a thing, not come out and apologize about the orders, not shut the foul mouth co-worker up, and definitely not help the situation by any means. read more

I'm not sure when you changed your bread, but you need to change it back. It was dry, and the amount of meat and toppings is also much less than in my past orders. Just had a steak and cheese sub. I split it with my husband. About a foot long size for around $10! But this is no ordinary Subway style sub. It was very flavorful with melty cheese and sautéed peppers and onions. The bread was homemade (I think.) All of it was delicious. I was going to give it 4 stars because it is hard for me to give anything perfect 5. But I can't think of any reason not to give it 5. We ordered it to go and it was done quickly while we waited there. I recommend Papa Kelsey's. I will be returning to try the pizza. read more

Subs are delicious! Their bread is what really makes the sub special. I've tried multiple subs and never been disappointed, plus they have a great pickle to the side. A staple in Pocatello for over 20 years in this location. The Italian Combo Sub is my favorite sandwich in town by far! My wife and I will generally order a full sub and a personal sized pizza to share to keep the cost reasonable. I order a delivery order and paid for xtra dressing which was not given to me. when I called in and talked to manager (Nicole) she told she prepared the order herself so the dressing must be in there. It was not and she said that it was. She basically argued with me over a die of dressing. Hung up on me numerous times. The fact that the manager was arguing with a customer over something as small as a side of dressing just shows how unprofessional she is and it proves that her customer service is atrocious.
