Recommended by two fellas I met on my flight arriving to Pocatello, this restaurant did not disappoint!! Excellent service, nice portions, home cooked, home made everything!! I can't wait to return!! The staff was incredibly patient as I scoured all the choices with a magnifying glass. I chose three tacos and due to a restricted diet, a salad. The salad was huge, the carnitas and carne asado tacos were outstanding, the pickled carrots, jalapenos, onions and peppers were so fresh and homemade!! The salsa verde I couldn't stop asking for more!! The staff, management and servers were so on it and truly kind to us and all their, obvious, returning diners!! Nothing was remotely empty as they consistently checked back with us, and everyone else, and boy did we devour everything!! I can't wait to return to this restaurant again. 7 stars!! While visiting family, we decided to try a Mexican spot nearby. I looked for a place with good reviews, and this one definitely did not disappoint. We were greeted right away when we walked in and really enjoyed the authentic decorations and overall vibe. The service was friendly and welcoming. Not long after sitting down, we were brought chips with some really tasty salsa and bean dip, which was a great start to the meal. I ordered the smothered tamales, and I had never had anything quite like that before. The food came out hot and tasted fresh. Walking into the restaurant, it felt like an authentic place and the girls who greeted me were very friendly and they had a great sense of humor. Chips green sauce and frijoles to start before having Shrimp Diablo. Little spicy but not overly and a great flavor with a tad of sweetness. Rice and beans with tortillas were perfect. Solid 4 on the burrito. Was not a huge fan of the red sauce but I was steak going to town in this. Lots of onions, a bit more than should be but rice and beans were great and not runny or under cooked. Chicken was seasoned pretty good on this and the food was super quick once we ordered. I'm a Minnesotan who was in town in business. I found this restaurant on Yelp before I arrived. When I arrived, I wasn't sure. It is a tiny restaurant with a tiny parking lot. We were greeted and offered a booth. The menu was BIG. Lots of options. My traveling colleague has been to Mexico lots, and he was impressed with the menu. Chips and salsa and frijoles dip made it to the table as a free appetizer with our cervezas! The chips were cold and not made on premises. Oh well. Good salsa and frijoles dip. I ordered an enchiladas plate, which came with beans on the side (and maybe rice, cannot remember?). Anyway, let me tell you, this might have been the best Mexican food I'd ever eaten. Holy mole! So flavorful. I don't remember what kind of meat was in there. I only remember that it was heavenly. Bottom line? Do not judge a book by its cover. This place is the real deal. Incredible. OK, first of all let me is very inconsistent. Some you can't chew some super trough some super small some as large pieces. Definitely not an appeasing texture when you're trying to eat a taco. Also there's no flavor to meat has absolutely no flavor. you have to add hot sauce to it and if you're one like me that orders it without hot sauce, please double triple check Because they put the hot sauce on both of our burritos that were supposed to be no hot sauce so unable to enjoy the food but it seem to be a waste of money. We ordered two Asada burritos, eight Asada tacos and two drinks and spent $35. if you're just need to get some food in your belly, it's not the worst but definitely don't come here if you are looking for authentic. read more

Went for Taco Tuesday... I tried chicken taco, al pastor taco, and a beef enchilada. Tacos were very good -- nice preparation and excellent flavors. Enchilada was very disappointing -- sauce was totally blah. My wife enjoyed her carne asada tacos. Excellent green salsa with the chips. Atmosphere was cheap diner, but clean enough. Wanted to try this restaurant last night at the recommendation of a coworker. We walked in and a lady greeted us and told us to pick anywhere to sit. We picked and started to sit down when our server came over with menus and place settings...which he tossed into the middle of the table. Nope. Not gonna happen. Bad service when their busy, one of the cashiers was really rude and had no time for service. I bought chips and salsa and they didnt want to give me red salsa or pico. They dont even put your food in proper containers they put them on plates so your food will slip off.. Very dirty inside kitchen..Service is terrible....No business from me. read more

Seriously the best Mexican on the planet. I've been all over the west, Nayarit, Jalisco & Baja. Only a few places come close to the authenticity of how well prepared the food is. Not to mention the price is in comparable. You can get a burrito combo medio litro coca-cola all for under $10. You can't even go to a cheap fast food place and get a deal like that. ordered a macho burrito with no sour cream.. and it still came with sour cream. It's a good burrito but the sour cream ruined it. this is the second time for asking for no sour cream and still has yucky sour cream. how hard is it to leave the sour cream off when asked. read more
