Sandwich, Soup and Treat Combo Bacon Turkey Club, Potato Bacon Soup and Chocolate Chip Cookie
    Arthur B.

My first impression was off a little bit. Would have liked a little more sandwich than what I got. It was definitely fresh and tasty. Moved on to the homemade soup and was impressed with the quality. It was very filing. It was at this point I realized I was getting full. Topped it all off with the two cookies and thought, I would be paying the same amount at a fast food restaurant for a burger, fries and a coke. This taste way better for the price I paid and I'm content. As the name says, the service is lickity split. I had my order within 2 minutes of sitting down. Will definitely try again!

After a breaking down in the middle of no where, being towed to Pocatello, and being told they couldn't fix our car, my dad and I were looking for a place to regroup, lick our wounds and most importantly eat, within walking distance of the dealership. I turned on my phone and found this shop! We walked over and were greeted with a smiling face of the sweetest girl ever! She was so kind (we looked bedraggled) and recommended the combo meal for us. The dinning area is cozy and surprisingly spacious! They have a big menu with custom drinks and lots of treats. I got a turkey bacon sandwich with banana cream pie. My dad also got the turkey bacon sandwich but he got the potato soup instead. I was very impressed to learn from our waitress that the bread on the sandwiches is made at the restaurant. Everything tasted wonderful but the only two things that I had to knock off a star from is that the soup was very thick and a little bland. And my banana cream pie was all cream and no pie. Which was a shame since when I did have filling it was DELICIOUS! Over all I would definitely recommend this if you need a place to relax and have some food. And I'm hoping to be able to stop by again next time we are driving through!

ButterBurr's is a Pocatello cult classic. Everyone claims to love it and would be heartbroken if it went away. Unfortunately, it's just okay. Lickety split is a quick & easy stop that skips the wait time typical of the restaurant's sit down version. I ordered the SST and chose the potato bacon soup, French dip sandwich and a cinnamon twist. The soup is gelatinous which leads me to believe it uses cornstarch as a shortcut instead of a roux to thicken. It does have great flavor though. The French dip came out on their homemade bread. The bread is delicious, but not right for a French dip as it was soggy before I could even try dipping. I will say that the cinnamon twist was quite tasty! My husband's coconut cream pie was mostly whipped cream with what seemed like store-bought coconut pudding. Overall, ButterBurr's Lickety Split knows how to get a lot of their flavors right, but they take too many shortcuts that decreases the quality of your meal.

I have never tried ButterBurrs until today. They have several options for "combos" - sandwich soup treat, sandwich treat, sandwich soup or salad. I am a lover of salad and sandwiches. They have several options for salad, however none of the salads except for the house salad are available in a combo. My party purchased several different combos; I myself had the sandwich and salad combo. The sandwich: turkey bacon club. Mayo, pickles, red onion, thin sliced turkey, bacon, tomatoes, lettuce, on a dryish blah-tasting white roll. Something I could make at home for cheaper. Mediocre at best. The salad: hard boiled egg, stale croutons, lettuce, pre-chopped tomatoes, chopped carrots, cucumbers, red onion, $1 extra for cheese. Super basic, but it is a house salad. Why only have one salad option for the combo? Is it that hard to make a half salad of something with more zest? My grandfather ordered the pastrami and swiss sandwich, which was only pastrami and swiss on the same roll as the turkey, with mustard on the side. A huge letdown, as that is his favorite sandwich. Others in my party ordered "treats": the chocolate pie tasted like plain chocolate pudding in a pie crust. The lemon pie was 75% whipped cream. Apple pie was described to me as mediocre. They forgot my cousin's chocolate milk, and finally he had to go up and ask for it. They didnt come and give us any refills. I will say that the girl on the register was lovely and offered to fix my meal as best she could. TL;DR food is ok, service is ok, but go to Panera, its right down the street.

Service staff seems confused easily for how long this place has been open. Not as fast as advertised. Soup was extremely salty and had too many macaroni. It more closely resembled a Tomato based Macaroni salad than it did a soup as evidence of such being that you could eat the entire thing with a fork. Not a native to Pocatello - I still don't understand how this restaurant garners such love and devotion from Pocatellans. It's simply lack luster and just plain not that good. It's edible.

Had a quick breakfast stop in Pocatello Idaho. We tried all the omelette muffins which came with their own breaded side. The meal was beautiful as well as delicious! Our hosts gave us a warm welcome and the first egg muffins we had ever tasted! The Blueberry muffin and the raspberry twist were especially delicious!

The bread they use for their sandwiches is the best in town. The pies are second to none. The service is always good too.

Although it was speedy, the food was mediocre. I had the turkey sandwich, which was good but the soup and pie left a lot to be desired.

Great service and food, portions are very large. French toast twist, breakfast quiche and biscuits with gravy were all delicious.

Needs Improvement: $6.52 for 8 oz soup and a small roll? Terrible value. 3 pieces of chicken in this serving. Counter attendant asked if I wanted the roll buttered. I assumed that meant a pat of butter would be provided. Nope, they butter it for you. Cost savings for them, I imagine. Thanks I can butter my own roll and have you handle my food less. Bottom Line: Geraldines has great baked goods but is overpriced on about everything. Visit on special occasions, I guess.

I had the spicy Italian which included all the great Italian meats with a little bit of kick as well. I had mine on the white French roll. The sandwich was packed full off meat and the fresh produce was a great accent to a well executed sandwich. The service was really good and the very friendly gentleman that took our order was exceptional. My only disappointment and my co-workers was we all got soup and it all tasted like it was either out of a can or frozen. Had higher hopes for a bakery not having homemade soup but the service and sandwich made up for it.
