I used to be a regular at this location. But I felt it wasn't the same. After many months I decided to give it a try again. I regret that decision as now I know it isn't in my mind that this location has declined. First Mercedes was rude and very nit pleasant to interact with. Secondly, my chicken burrito was disgusting. The chicken was burnt. I tried to just eat the rice and the black beans must've been in that pot heating for over a week. The good news is I left no longer hungry without consuming the calories of what I ordered. Finally they have definitely replaced the seating since I was there previously. Clearly the choice was to cram absolutely the most seating in the tiniest room. Unfortunately the seating is so close that either I sit where people are attempting to walk or I rub my rear end across the neighbors table as I try and access the back seating. Most of the tables were dirty so obviously the plan is disgusting dining. Best tortilla I've ever had and ever will had. I don't know why they hit so hard but they do. I got an extra 4 tortillas on the side because they're so good. My dad owned a costa vida when I was young and just walking inside was a gust of nostalgia. Those tortillas tho so amazing. The steak was also great. I'm glad the workers didn't get mad at me for getting a million tortillas. The girl who was serving me told me that asking for extra tortillas is very common. The dining area was disgusting. Place clearly hasn't been cleaned all day. Rice was all over the floor, tables were a mess, there was a huge clump of hair on the floor. A long black hair was cooked into my quesadilla, not appetizing to eat late at night on a road trip when I was starving.

We drove from Las Vegas on our way to Brian head. We had other choices/ ie; chipotle, Café, Rio, etc. but we chose Costa Vida . Place was extremely busy. I ordered the kids meal enchilada. I asked for chicken. She looked at me annoyed and said "we are out". There was hardly any meat that I ordered in the enchilada. My husband's salad had one spoonful of pork when he also wanted chicken. We are paying for the meal and we expect a considerable portion of protein not one spoonful. Then they forgot my churro. When we checked out I told the girl "I ordered chicken but you were out" and she said. Oh, I'm so sorry. We had a big catering order. At least she was nice about it. But if you have a big catering order knowing you're gonna be slammed on a Saturday, management should be prepared with extra food. We will be going to chipotle moving forward where they give a decent portion of protein. read more

What on earth is happening at our Codta Vida?!? ‍Last time they forgot part of my order and it was never credited to my card (Thanks for replacing it today ) Today was unbelievable! I ordered through the app-no problem. Told me to pick up at 3:05. I responded to the text that I was on my way and then things went sideways! Arrived 3:08. Order not ready. No one on the frontline and it was a mess! Told my order (btw I was the only customer in store or drive thru) was being prepared in the back. Ok, but why isn't it done? I smiled and waited patiently for what normally takes about 90 seconds to prep (kids enchilada meal) Noticed the tortillas were sitting out on the work bench (which must've been why mine was stone cold and dry when I ate it). Asked the manager to replace my missing item from last time and he told the kid to make it-omg that was the worst cinnamon tortilla ever my dog refused to eat it too‍ My order was finally done-the guy was awesome thus the two stars. I mention my cinnamon tortilla was missing. He apologized. Didn't realize the other was a replacement. Interesting enough, the one he prepped minutes later was exactly as expected. Then asked about strawberry limonada-strawberries didn't come in on truck. Oh well. By this time there's actually a line of people but no one at the counter ‍ I go to fill my cup with limonada and it's out. Now I have to wait until someone shows up again. Same great guy fills my drink from drive thru fountain. But now there are no lids for my cup. I give up and return to my car. It's 3:28. How does a tiny grab and go order with no other customers take 6 + employees 20 minutes? The new franchise owner needs to get his act together and quit ruining our Costa Vida. I love this place. But I'm so upset with my order. You know that feeling when you get your food...you're going to go home, get high, and enjoy a burrito? Well, I don't. Can't relate today! Instead, I got a quesadilla. And I'm upset about that because I don't like cheese. And guess what? One of the main ingredients for a quesadilla is cheese. So now I'm high, at home, alone, with nothing to eat but disappointment. I'm giving 3 stars because I asked for lots of ice in my Dr. Pepper and they provided that accurately and I should've double checked. I also cannot go back and get a new one because I live up in Brian Head and cannot justify the 45 minute drive down there. *sigh* How can this be avoided in the future? Costa Vida has impressed me beyond what I was expecting. I haven't been to this chain before, but had heard a lot about them. I admit I adore Cafe Rio(a very similar type spot) but Costa Vida can stand its own. I wanted to particularly acknowledge Jaden and Dalyn, and Abe. These three staff members went above and beyond to provide quality service, the restaurant was also very clean and well-kept, and the experience was very pleasurable. It makes me want to come back again. Things they do well: treat their customers with care, are attentive to the order, provide lots of knowledgeable suggestions, and are sensitive to the customer experience as a whole. They also have nice parking available. The food is tasty I would say they have a string in the marination of their meats. I highly recommend trying the steak they offer. Not sure what all the bad reviews are for. The staff is very friendly, I got everything i asked for, no shortage of food, my salad is actually HUGE, they put a homemade tortilla on the bottom. The drive through is long and it's not the type of place I'd advise going through a drive through with. Costa vida is one of my favorite places to eat. We got there on a Saturday night at 6. So of course we expect it to be busy but usually they are pretty quick. The line was long & the workers seemed in no way eager to help the line move faster. By the time we were able to order our food. The salad was looking a little sad. They forgot the queso on our nacho. We tried to order an item clearly stated on their menu & sign that they said their location doesn't make. Then when my nacho was done. The worker continued to help the people behind me & they were able to get their food & pay. While my food just sat there. Overall the people were nice & were clearly trying to do their best. Well... I thought I had experienced bad Costa vida but this one takes the cake! Rotten lettuce on all the salads, not like one bad piece but the whole thing!! The smallest portion I've ever seen of burnt rice, dry nasty pulled pork that looked different than I've ever seen before, and empty horchata containers with no effort to refill them. I have teenagers that usually beg me to buy them 2 items and they eat every bite. Nobody finished their meal, not a single person. Everyone said it was gross and nobody wanted to eat it. A manager of some kind was sitting in the dining room doing a training and heard us talking about how gross it was but made no effort to fix it. Of all the times I've been through the drive-thru or ordered pickup at this location, I have never once gotten exactly what I ordered. Every. Single. Time. there's one or more things that are incorrect. Ordered a large nacho, received a small. Ordered a kids quesadilla, received a chicken taco. I truly don't understand how, as one of two people in the drive-thru line, I still don't receive what I ordered? On the off chance I do receive what I ordered (rare, at best), the food is extremely hit or miss. I wish this place existed where I live in California. It reminds me of a Chipotle but better. They have more options than just burritos and tacos. We have been here a few times. Most recently last night. My daughter wanted to eat here for her birthday. So we had 10 people in our group. They were quick to get our orders. They continuously wiped tables and kept the floor clean. They were even nice enough to let us bring in a birthday cake and eat it there! The only bad thing is the horchata.. it's too watered down. We ordered the pork chili verde burrito and the sweet pork salad. We get home and ripped off the lids and dove into the food. I have been many times previously but it was to the other location. I had not been in the new place which is just a few yards from the old one. We went in on a Friday evening at about 6:30. The place was packed. We got in line. You order cafeteria style. They make your order right in front of you. I ordered the Friday special which was the grilled chicken burrito. They now cover all of the items with a variety of sauces that you choose from. It also came with a drink. All for 7.99. Great deal. It was very good and tasty. They chicken was for the most part moist and full of flavor. While there we saw many local neighborhood friends. I would recommend this to anyone. It's a good location which is clean and bright. I was looking for nearby places to eat on yelp and Costa Vida popped up. I wasn't sure at the time if it was a chain or what (found out they are in about 10 different states) but wanted to give it a shot since it isn't something we have home in Vegas. I don't care if it is a chain or not this place is delish! I ordered a "Sweet Pork Taco" and it was too tasty. I wish that I had ordered 2 of them. It was like sweet candy wrapped in a delicious handmade tortilla. They make the tortillas and food fresh to order so it took a minute to get our food but it was worth it. For $7.29 you can get 2 tacos and a side of rice and beans so next time I will get that. Hubby ordered a "Shredded Beef Burrito" that I was more then happy to help eat. This burrito was chock full of beef, cheese, sauce, beans and rice. You can choose to order it *smothered* for 99 cents extra and have sauce and cheese on top as well. The burrito was HUGE and for sure something you could share. The burrito was priced at $6.79 before being smothered. I ordered a "Sweet Cinnamon Tortilla" for dessert and it was like a cinnamon sugar fruit roll up! Priced at 79 cents it was a sweet treat. I really liked this place and will be back. They also offer soup, quesadillas, nachos, chips & salsa, fresh guacamole, salads, enchiladas and desserts. Kids meals are on the menu too. You can eat inside or get your food at the drive-thru. They also offer catering but have a couple options for that. They can come to your function and make burritos and salads or they can set up a taco bar.
