We stopped in Cedar City during our road trip to Salt Lake City to fill up the car and grab food before hitting the road again. We were a couple blocks from Southern Utah University and we chose Jimmy John's alongside several other choices. SUU was actually one of my first college choices, but my parents weren't ready for me to leave home right after high school and they instead wanted me to stay in Nevada and attend college at home. To take a break from driving for a bit, we decided to dine in. I don't think I've ever had Jimmy John's before until this trip. It wasn't too busy inside so we were helped out right away. We both ordered two Little John sandwiches so we wouldn't be stuck with anything massive. I ordered the tuna salad Little John and my LTP ordered the spicy east coast Italian Little John. He considered getting a drink at the gas station next door, but changed his mind and got a drink here. These were some very good sandwiches! Their restrooms were also very clean; this is a major plus for someone stopping here during a road trip. I know Jimmy John's is a chain, but I totally recommend if you ever stop in Cedar City. read more

Friday late lunch (2:30pm) craving for a gyro. Their app gave me another discount offer on a gyro so I placed the order drove over. Had to wait about 5 minutes but there was plenty of room to stand. But that's what you get when the distance between where I was when I placed the order and their store is less than 2 minutes away. So that considered they weren't slow at all. I got the Greek Gyro again with no tomatoes, cucumbers or onions. Sounds bland? Not at all. The spice on the gyro meat takes care of the flavor. It is a good size so I was full. Friendly counter workers kept churning out orders and most all had a smile while doing their work. That's always great to see. read more

Busy, busy location. We were starving g after hours in the car so we were so happy to see Jimmy Johns. I love that no matter how busy the lines at Any location moves so quick. We ordered and got one of the last available tables. Our sandwiches were made in minutes and were fresh and delicious as always. I will say that my #9 did have a ton of extra sauce so it was dripping pretty bad. It was still edible, but I'd be worried if I'd let it sit for a bit it would've been pretty soggy. I usually like Jimmy John's subs in the past. But, the last three times I went there....either the order person or sandwich makers have made mistake on my wife and my order. First time, tuna sandwich was put on a sub roll not on wheat bread as order and the order kid was rude....by saying" don't worry about it!" several times when I wanted to make sure the tuna was made correctly. But, he kept up with his don't worry about three more times. The had to change the sub to a sandwich. When I wrote their survey the manager apologies and gave me a $ credit. Second time I went... again mistake on tuna sandwich on wheat with only mayo, lettuce and tomato. They put cucumber and cheese on the tuna sandwich and left off the Jimmy's red peppers and after my statement of I want a whole pickle uncut, guess what they cut it in half. Now it is the third time, I told the order person to please listen to my order carefully. I quote, "a tuna on wheat with ONLY MAYO, LETTUCE AND TOMATO AND A VITO WITH EXTRA ONION, JIMMY'S MUSTARD AND EXTRA JIMMY'S RED PEPPERS AND PLEASE CUT THE SANDWICH IN HALF. I went up early to pick up the two sandwiches. They were ready to wrap my sub and it was not cut....I spoke up and they cut it. When I got to our table, my wife's tuna sandwich had cheese on it and was charge extra, my sub did not have the mustard on it and only three slices of the red peppers. I think the sandwich maker was given order out and did not read or pay attention to my order for the things to complete the special order. Manager Will has no control over the store and lets the chick with the white tongue earring make good and sure first time customers don't come back. Np. next time I come to visit my kid at school, I'll make sure I stop at Jersey Mike's in St George - Bluff exit 15 N. They have better uses of their time than to attempt to insult paying customers and then purposely get their order wrong- and here the white tongue earring chick was thinking I was the stupid one. Not sure which side of the counter she thinks she's standing on - and that's not an insult, anybody who has any self-respect would do their job well. No one is forcing her to work there. So, what happened ? Walked in the store - seems they only like door dashers IN the store, apparently respectable customers get in the drive-through. Tongue earring chick immediately asked us what we wanted and was really annoyed that we didn't know right off the bat. What we did tell her is that we wanted two 16 inch subs and she was super impatient that again we didn't know which ones. So I asked if there's any specials, and she tells me pastrami. Then Will says we don't have any hot sandwiches. I never asked about hot sandwiches. So my daughter decides on her 16 inch sub. And I asked for a turkey and Bacon, and was immediately corrected that it is officially the number 16. But it literally only says turkey and bacon. So I asked if I get to choose my toppings and she asked what we want on the sandwiches? So I'm thinking like Jersey Mike's you walk down the aisle, or even at Subway, and you tell them what you want on your sandwich. so she looks at me and says oh you want all the freebies. "freebies" ??? so she points at the list of "freebies" and she says you want all of those. (It wasn't a question). So I looked at the list of 15+ items and I picked tomatoes, pickles, lettuce, pepper, onions, mustard, easy mayo. So no, I did not want all of the freebies. We finally get our sandwiches and they are not the 16", mine was the half size, we got a pickle, which they charged extra for, and chips. And we asked for a bag. They put the pickle in the bag and then we asked again for a bag and they put one sandwich in the bag. So when DoorDash comes to pick up takeout orders they give them every sandwich and individual item without a bag? We open up our sandwiches, other than meat and cheese, there is literally nothing other than lettuce on the sandwiches. I think I was well into more than half the sandwich before I even saw mayonnaise and mustard. It didn't even look like there was very much meat and the bacon was soggy. So you can tell the gal with the white tongue ring, I'm never gonna know what I want at Jimmy John's because I will never return. Subway is way better and cheaper. But if I do want to pay good money for a sandwich, it's worth the 1 Hour Dr. to the Jersey Mike's in St. George. ( used Siri - sorry for typos she can be a real .... pickle ). Where's the meat? I was very disappointed with how little meat was on the two sandwiches I ordered. The two sandwiches on my order were the Vito and Cubano. Both sandwiches had very little meat. The only reason I gave 2 stars as opposed to 1 Star was because the bread was good... however I did not order a bread sandwich. I would expect more meat from a "reputable" restaurant touted as being a sandwich shop. Also, the coke soft drink I ordered was way too heavy on the syrup. I went in with my son and placed an order and while I was getting my drink, I am use to the lids being on the side and didn't think to look above me, so I asked where the lids were and after they pointed it out to me, a girl behind the counter rudely added "kinda hard to miss" and they all laughed. I brushed it off and we sat down to eat. I had asked for my sandwich without tomato, which is pretty simple. They didn't get that right and there were tomatoes in my sandwich. They said ok and proceeded to charge me an extra two dollars for the bacon. I said no way am I paying that much for bacon!! Especially when I'm taking off of one of the other meats. The staff was darling and polite. (although one did swear while chatting with the other co-workers... Not very appreciated since we had a small child with us. I was pretty annoyed there was no changing table provided in the bathroom (or toilet seat covers for that matter) but there are several signs saying "mama wants you to eat here". Overall: Tasty food, little pricey for portion size, friendly service, wicked fast!!! I always get the Beach Club #12, with bacon about $7. My complaint with this is how can they call it a club if it doesn't already have bacon on it? (Bacon costs $1.50 extra). Anyway, the subs can be a bit pricey and are only 7'' long. But as mentioned, they are made super fast and I have never waited longer than 3 minutes for my food. Dang. The Beach Club is my favorite sandwich to get. The cucumbers, avocado, turkey, bacon, and mayo together make something magical. I've had other stuff on the menu, but I'm hooked on that Beach Club. The inside is clean, the menu has a good variety, and the decor is entertaining to read. I'll say this, I stopped going to Subway when I finally tried my first sandwich here. This place doesn't have nearly as many choices as Subway but that's ok by me; makes decision time easier. And when they say they're fast, they mean it.
