Le pregunte que si podia hacer algo al respecto, pues para este tiempo ya habian pasado unos 45 min. desde que puse la orden. Que hizo el? Se dio la media vuelta y se puso a atender a otra persona. Le dije que era un irrespetuoso y me sali. Me siguio a la puerta y solo para preguntarme que le habia dicho. While eating our orders, my wife and I continued to say "wow" this is so good. I do not think I have had Peruvian food before. I cannot believe I have been missing this all my life. We started with the Yuca Rellena appetizer. OMG, if you don't order anything else, you have to try this. For main course, wife had the Saltado de Pollo/sauteed chicken. I had the Taculomo/Tacu beef. Very good and the rice was awesome. It had white beans and seasonings in it. We cannot wait to go back. Bon appe'tit or "disfrute de su comida." I'm quite confused with the amount of stars this restaurant has. The food is good but not 5 stars especially for the prices that you are paying. I was surprised that after being served two 2oz canchas for a table of four we were advised that we would be charged .50 for each additional. Seriously? We're paying $20+ per person for a plate of food and they can't afford some simple customer service. I definitely will not be coming back and am disappointed in the customer service. read more

This is the best Peruvian restaurant I have been to. It is a quaint place, very clean and the food is amazing. The servers are very nice. They have this cilantro spicy sauce rhat is refreshing if you can say that. The price is great for the plate they serve. This is definitely a great find for us and we will definitely be back. I went one time and the food was good; the Tacu Tacu was really tasty and my husband ate chicken lomo saltado ok too. My big disappoint is the hours they open at 12pm, we work on the area (government office) and our lunch is only 1/2 hour, we called several times 10 minutes early to place an order they answer the phone and the servers are really nice, they check with the owner to see if we can order; she said NO,., that we need to call after 12pm., it's sad because she was rude several times, no only with me with other coworkers that called too. My suggestion is to open at 11:30, Golden Gate City have many worker who doesn't have too much time to eat and not too many options. read more

My wife, daughter and I went to Costa Verde on a whim on a Monday night. Our server, the owners son, was knowledgeable, passionate and friendly. The food? Everything we ordered was made to order and excellent. If you are looking for authentic Peruvian you can't do much better as the chef/owner is from Peru and has been in the business for over 30 years. This is a single chef restaurant for now so you know who will be preparing your food, no worries here as she is amazing! Stopped off of the highway on the way to the Everglades, and stumbled upon this place in a nondescript strip mall. It's located next to a pawn shop and family dollar store. Not much to look at from outside, but inside is freshly painted, bright, airy and very clean. This appears to be a family run place. In short, this was a stellar break from the tourist food we ate in Florida. The menu looked great and we wished we could have tried more. I had the pescado a la chorrillana. My wife had a chicken dish with rice. Both were really well prepared, fresh, tasty, and nicely presented. This is exactly what you'd hope for in such a place. This was a great break from tourists and the mediocre food at too many of the restaurants in a vacation destination. We ate here tonight because we needed something close to an event we were headed to in the area; this isn't our usual part of town. Wow were we impressed! It's quite nice inside, very clean and modern. We were greeted right away and the server was very friendly, and got a high chair for my toddler. The food was excellent. We had the shrimp and avocado ceviche for a starter, then I had the rice with seafood - which was HUMONGOUS. Three meals at least! My husband had the beef with grilled vegetables, rice, and french fries - a surprisingly good combo, and the meat was excellent. Even my daughter's pollo y papa (chicken fingers and french fries) were a cut above - the chicken was pounded thin, lightly battered, and pan fried - definitely not something frozen they throw in a fryer. Price points were good too ($16.95 for my dish, $12.95 for my husband's, and only $10.95 for that dish if you get chicken instead). The servers were very very good. They were attentive, but really just left us alone to chat and hang out - which is what we like to do. There were several other tables, but the atmosphere was very relaxed and nice. The TV was on playing soccer but without volume, and the music was pleasant. We had such a great experience that I wish we lived closer. It's nice to get some authentic Peruvian flavors in a nicer atmosphere, not just chain tex mex or a hole in the wall authentic Mexican. read more

I never criticize or leave bad reviews. For Mother's Day I decided to take my mom to eat here and we love Ceviche and wanted to give it a try. One, it took a long time. Good food, pretty weird service. My family and I normally love this place. The service we received last Sunday was odd. They were very busy and it seemed the waitress was already on edge. She was very short with us and ended up slamming beverages on the table when she would come around. The wait was quite long for food, but we understood. The bigger issue came at the end of our meal over extra gratuity. We left a tip on our check for all the wait staff per usual. My uncle bonded with one of the waiters in particular whose mother had recently died and my grandmother had died that morning. He gave him an extra tip. As we were leaving, another waiter called us over and proceeded to berate my uncle over the extra tip. He made him confirm he gave the kid money and told him that wasn't allowed because they pooled tips. My uncle explained he left for everyone but this was an extra gratuity for him in particular because he provided great service and his mother had also recently died. The waiter kept raising his voice at him with the owner standing less than a foot away who never said anything. Also, they told us they couldn't make coffee and then started making coffee as the waiter was yelling at my uncle which was also super weird. It left such a bad taste in our mouth that I don't think we will ever go back. read more

Alright so this review is based mostly on food. The restaurant is in a shitty plaza, (don't let the surroundings turn you away) but the inside of it is modernly styled and clean. The service was great. The food was excellent. Hubs and I shared one of the spicy ceviche, and the whole fried snapper, and it was all perfect. We like Incas, it's good, but I dare say the food at this place is better! And a major plus (for us at least) is that the place wasn't very busy. We were feeling extra brave and even brought our 20 month old and our 10 year old. Our picky toddler ate up the kids fish and the 10 year old housed the kids lomo in about 2 minutes. We found this little place by accident on our way to Marco Island. My wife and I both love ceviche and Costa Verde has several types of ceviches as well as other typically Peruvian dishes. I have not had such authentic flavors since enjoying them on my business trips to Peru. Costa Verde is not a very fancy restaurant, located as it is in a typical Florida strip mall, but the delicious food and the cheerful and attentive service made our meals (3 in one week - it was addictive!) a real unexpected pleasure. We look forward to return next year during our yearly stay in Florida! read more

Shared tacu lomo (beef chunks rice bean fried cake) and seco norteno (beef stew with rice and beans). Both flavorful and tender. The cuzquena is a drink made from corn, clove, pineapple, and cinnamon sweet and very different Get instead of pop. Spread your taste bud wings and try.
