After transferring it to a bowl and reheating it, I discovered the real problem: the broth was swimming in oil. I spent more time skimming grease off the top than I did waiting for the order to arrive. And then there was the salt. This soup was saltier than a fisherman's pants. I managed to eat the chicken, noodles, and egg, but the broth itself was nearly inedible. Had I actually finished the soup, I might have needed a blood pressure monitor afterward. Caldo de gallina is supposed to be comforting, rich, and healing. This was cold, greasy, and overwhelmingly salty. Between the poor packaging and the disappointing quality, this was a complete miss.
