Lomo Saltado with beef and chicken
    Terri G.

After enjoying some really great Peruvian meals oversees, I thought it might be a letdown to eat Peruvian food in a local restaurant. Well, this is a good restaurant to enjoy a reasonably priced meal. The menu is full of good dining options, including the Tacu Tacu, or mixed beans and rice, with your choice of protein, a good variety of seafood dishes, soups, ceviche and Lomo Saltado, to name a few. We both went for the Lomo Saltado, which is a stir fried beef with onions, tomatoes, served with brown sauce, potatoes and rice. Hubs added chicken to his order, and the food was good and served fast. It was disappointing they didn't offer any of the great table salsas that make Peruvian food even better. A spicy Salsa de Aji or Salsa de Rocato would have been perfect. Anyway, we were pleased with the meal and the cost was reasonable. Our server was attentive and ready to recommend dishes for those who aren't familiar with Peruvian food. They make an effort with their service and it's worth a visit.

Place was great. This is coming from someone who has never had Peruvian food though- so really have no baseline. The waitress was super helpful and made recommendations and we liked each meal she helped us select. We will come back.

The service was off the chart. The two dishes featured here were insane. The Tres Mares features ceviche, chaufa which is just fried seafood and a Peruvian take on paella. The ceviche was okay. I've had better. But the other two were absolutely insane! The fried fish was cooked to perfection and so well seasoned. The paella was something you don't want it to end. The second dish is potato with a sauce I couldn't tell you what is made of but also just as good. The only reason this place is not getting five stars, it doesn't have Pisco. Perus Narilla liquor. We were bummed to discover this. But everything else, was delish. The service was the absolute best. Will definitely be back!!

I haven't been here in a very long time so I decided to try it again for old times sake. It wasn't too busy around 6pm on a Saturday evening. I ordered the seco combinado and my husband got the ceviche mixto. The ceviche was really good and the papa a la huacaina was really good too. The seco combinado unfortunately was not what I expected. The beans were too salty and the meat was cold as ice. I had to let the waitress know and all they did was reheat it. It was an ok experience but probably won't come back due to my food experience.

super super good. exelent service food is a 10 point..

We ordered the meat lovers patellar, and although they said it feeds 4, we knew we would have left overs to share the next night. There was plenty more for tomorrow. Blended seasons for the varied meats were impressive. Can't wait to go back to try their other dishes. Too many choices to go only once. As I watched other dishes come out from the kitchen, presentation was impeccable and looked top notch. Look at that dessert Run don't walk.

Our waitress was kind and serviceable--nothing over-the-top, but attentive enough. The first appetizer out was the salad. We requested no onions, and it came out exactly as requested. There wasn't any salt on the table, just oil and vinegar, which I was actually okay with since it helped me keep my salt intake down. For our main dishes, we ordered the chaufa with gluten-free soy sauce, again requesting no onions. Everything came out correctly. The only issue was that it was a bit cold, as if it had been sitting out longer than it should have. We mentioned it, they took it back, reheated it, and it was fine afterward--no real issue there. I ordered the beef short rib, medium well. Unfortunately, it came out closer to medium rare in my opinion. a bit disappointing, but ok. Overall, the food was okay, service was good, and the ambiance was nice. Since the place was packed, it's clear that a lot of people enjoy it. Was this the best food I've ever had? No. But was it bad? Not at all. It is a little on the pricey side, but that's to be expected for this type of restaurant. I'd consider it a solid place and would definitely give it another try to order something different next time. I wasn't overly wowed, but it was a good, reliable dining experience and worth a second visit.

I came here and thought it would be just another Peruvian restaurant, I was wrong. This place blows it out of the park when it comes to flavor, consistency and service. It's small but it's doing things exactly how they should be done. They made me a loyal fan. I ordered the Seco Norteño and I HIGHLY recommend it. It's juicy, tender and jam packed with home style flavors. Their cilantro sauce is spot on and the Mayacoba beans they use (extra tender white beans) are what earned them the 5 stars. That and the amazing server. She is friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and overall genuine. She served us both times and made both times memorable. I look forward to going there often! They get my full endorsement haha! Also the green salsa they place on the table! Wow that stuff is good. If you like a kick of spice that stuff will do the trick. Also the popped corn kernels not sure what or how they make those but I can probably eat a bucket to myself. Bravo Costa Verde
