The company follows the Chipotle "slop bowl" model, but the bowl honestly looks quite elegant. Big Hawaiian Bowl Grilled Chicken: It's the best Hawaiian grilled chicken I've ever had. Soft, juicy, and it's not an overly aggressive flavor profile. It doesn't follow the cookie cutter flavors found in other Hawaiian chains. Chicken Katsu: It's battered chicken. What's not to like? The ranch sauce also complemented it well. White rice: Rice is rice. Assorted vegetables: Normally, this is relegated to inherit the drippings of the meat. Not this time, even the vegetables are amazing. Macaroni: It's the best Hawaiian macaroni that I've had. Coleslaw: It's okay. I may have picked the wrong sauce for it since it was kinda sour. They have a handful of takeout restaurants including Wally's Cafe and a bunch of ghost kitchens. Wally's cafe's counter actually has staff manning their own kitchen and they were available to help with order recommendations. There are many ghost kitchens here, including Pasta Sisters and chains like Wingstop and Panini Kabob. Was able to make an order here for Pasta Sisters through DoorDash, but they have their own website at costamesakitchens.com. While Haute Dawgs, Wally's Cafe, and a few others have their own spaces, you can pick up orders from other virtual kitchens at the front desk using the tablets. As I was waiting for my order at Wally's Cafe, I saw a steady stream of DoorDash drivers go in and out the doors. Parking is limited and in high demand due to the high turnover. This kitchen's real busy but with a professional team of managers, people working behind the counter and in the kitchens things go smoothly. I picked up Goop tonight and the experience was nothing short of awful. My order was a Korean BBQ wrap.....not too complicated. The app said it would be ready by 5:40pm. I arrived at 5:43pm and since I hadn't received a text saying my order is ready - I asked the guy working (who was busy relaxing in the back) about my order. He asked for my name and looked around and said it's not ready and to wait for the text. So after 15 minutes of waiting I asked the same guy again. He looked around again and picked a small bag from the shelf and handed to me. No apology. No acknowledgement that he gave me inaccurate information earlier. This was consistent with several of my past experiences with this kitchen. I understand this business can't afford to hire Mensa Candidates to works the pickup counter but how about hiring people that actually care about doing a good job. This guy couldn't care less. Another free tip: change your system in regard to where orders sit waiting for pickup from being one that's ad hoc and random to a system of consistency. All orders should go in lockers with the only exception being oversized orders that won't fit in lockers. Making this change will make your business more efficient, your employees less stressed, and bring confidence back to your customers. read more

Picking up is just as easy, your order is placed in a locker or behind the counter. When you have questions or concerns the staff is always available to help, if any of the ordering or pick up process is confusing to you, they are more than glad to explain. If you have no idea what you want to eat, you go here. Parking sucks and there's no where to sit to eat so this is a place you order ahead or order there and go somewhere else to eat. They have screens you go to choose what to eat and they offer more than the few restaurants you see set up on some of the big screens. The place is an absolute joke. It's always full of 20-30 drivers scamming the system with three phones. A lot of Brazilians and Arabs working the system to their advantage. Even a lot of the front desk people are Brazilian and seem to be in cahoots with these scammers. I've called out multiple people that are using fake accounts. It's blatant and they get mad if you call out their activity. These people have ruined the gig economy and even Star you down when you walk up and not one of them. The confidence level of these scammers is astonishing. Not to mention the wait times since all the restaurants in there are dealing with box front store demand but have 1-2 people making the food. Limited parking at about 10 parking spots, this is a ghost kitchen, so there are no tables inside to dine-in. It's a grab your food and go. Also there are big tablet screens so you can order there as well. So far Goop Kitchen is the 1st vendor to open for business. Ordered a miso salmon salad from Goop. I've never been to the original location, but we both wanted something quick since we were stopping by the area. We ordered a lobster roll (6 oz) with fries, lobster fries ($18) , and lobster mac and cheese ($18) to share. I definitely think we over-ordered .. We ended up taking the mac and cheese home, because sharing the sandwich and fries was more than enough. We were helped by the lovely Austin.
