Costa Mesa Kitchens - 9/2026 Coconut shrimp & bbq chicken bowl - Food Delivery Services Near Me - Costa Mesa, California

Over priced, over hyped take out food. We ordered from Newport bento, pasta sisters, and Hawaiian (forgot which one). Every dish was take out quality. Not like restaurant take out either, but fast food take out. But the prices were definitely sit down prices. For example: bento tastes like something I could find as Tokyo central. Priced like sit down. Pasta sister was ~$20-$25/dish but tasted like something I could make at home. Besides quality the quantity didn't make up for this price discrepancy either. Definitely skip read more

Big Daddy's Hawaiian BBQ: It's expensive, but I got it during a time when they offered a very good deal. If we remove the pricetag from the equation, I'll say that this is the best Hawaiian food chain that I've had. The company follows the Chipotle "slop bowl" model, but the bowl honestly looks quite elegant. Big Hawaiian Bowl Grilled Chicken: It's the best Hawaiian grilled chicken I've ever had. Soft, juicy, and it's not an overly aggressive flavor profile. It doesn't follow the cookie cutter flavors found in other Hawaiian chains. Chicken Katsu: It's battered chicken. What's not to like? The ranch sauce also complemented it well. White rice: Rice is rice. Assorted vegetables: Normally, this is relegated to inherit the drippings of the meat. Not this time, even the vegetables are amazing. Macaroni: It's the best Hawaiian macaroni that I've had. Coleslaw: It's okay. I may have picked the wrong sauce for it since it was kinda sour. Picking a different sauce if there is a next time. Service: I just picked it up in the ghost kitchen. It was ready by the time I got there. Ambiance: It's a ghost kitchen. The ambiance is people coming in and out. Nobody eats there. read more

Costa Mesa Kitchens is located on the border of Costa Mesa and Newport; a couple blocks from Triangle Square. They have a handful of takeout restaurants including Wally's Cafe and a bunch of ghost kitchens. Wally's cafe's counter actually has staff manning their own kitchen and they were available to help with order recommendations. There are many ghost kitchens here, including Pasta Sisters and chains like Wingstop and Panini Kabob. Was able to make an order here for Pasta Sisters through DoorDash, but they have their own website at costamesakitchens.com. While Haute Dawgs, Wally's Cafe, and a few others have their own spaces, you can pick up orders from other virtual kitchens at the front desk using the tablets. As I was waiting for my order at Wally's Cafe, I saw a steady stream of DoorDash drivers go in and out the doors. Parking is limited and in high demand due to the high turnover. The parking is honestly an issue; however, I may have someone drop me off and park nearby while I do my pickup. Definitely order ahead of your visit if you can. read more

Likes: + So far I enjoyed the Mediterranean Lebanese food at Wally's Cafe and the scrum-diddily-umptious hot dogs at Haute Dawgz Boutique Sausage. Love the mix of ingredients they do to make their meals tantalizing and exotic. + Very friendly, helpful staff. Non-likes: - Tight parking situation. Parking lot has only a few spaces. Street parking is very packed. I had to walk about 3 min. - No seating area (indoor nor outdoor). read more

Costa Mesa Kitchens - Depending on the day, you may have to park a 3-min walk away. - Food Delivery Services Near Me - Costa Mesa, California

Interesting business model. You enter and wait in a seemingly abandoned industrial kitchen hallway. Food is made nowhere visible and put into lockers or on a countertop. Wait times can get a little busy and service is lackluster. Many food options, all of which are healthy and pretty solid tasting. This place gets pretty messy when it's just and the front face isn't well staffed. If you're unfamiliar with the layout/need help with ordering or pick up, it's not an ideal experience. read more

Big Daddy's Hawaiian Food was not worth $20 a plate. Tasted like fast food. First experience at Costa Mesa Kitchens and I will not be going back. Too many other restaurants in Costa Mesa that far exceed in taste, quality and experience. read more

Really interesting concept. Was looking for an actual place to sit and enjoy food, was not expecting actual kitchens! Wish I read the reviews first. We tried good kitchen and loved it. We are gluten free so finding options for us is tough. Highly recommend the Cesar salad wrap read more

I've been working at several ghost kitchens in Southern California . Recently as a Picnic driver, I go to the Costa Mesa Kitchen location for pickups and I go inside to the hand- off area where all the action's happening. This kitchen's real busy but with a professional team of managers, people working behind the counter and in the kitchens things go smoothly. The kitchen's very clean and well organized People behind the counter are responsive, efficient and carry a great teamwork spirit. Even though, the overall atmosphere is businesslike but you feel as if you're working with family. I feel these people need more recognition. read more

I picked up Goop tonight and the experience was nothing short of awful. My order was a Korean BBQ wrap.....not too complicated. The app said it would be ready by 5:40pm. I arrived at 5:43pm and since I hadn't received a text saying my order is ready - I asked the guy working (who was busy relaxing in the back) about my order. He asked for my name and looked around and said it's not ready and to wait for the text. So after 15 minutes of waiting I asked the same guy again. He looked around again and picked a small bag from the shelf and handed to me. No apology. No acknowledgement that he gave me inaccurate information earlier. This was consistent with several of my past experiences with this kitchen. I understand this business can't afford to hire Mensa Candidates to works the pickup counter but how about hiring people that actually care about doing a good job. This guy couldn't care less. Another free tip: change your system in regard to where orders sit waiting for pickup from being one that's ad hoc and random to a system of consistency. All orders should go in lockers with the only exception being oversized orders that won't fit in lockers. Making this change will make your business more efficient, your employees less stressed, and bring confidence back to your customers. read more

A great location with many delicious restaurants to choose from, as well as customer service that goes above and beyond. It can get quite busy here, understandably, there is usually a security monitoring the parking lot and guiding traffic. Recently staff member Josh has been keeping an eye on the lot and does great! You can always expect a smile and greeting from Josh Ordering from here is easy, you can place a mobile pick up or order in person at one of the many screens that will show you all of the restaurants you can order from. Picking up is just as easy, your order is placed in a locker or behind the counter. When you have questions or concerns the staff is always available to help, if any of the ordering or pick up process is confusing to you, they are more than glad to explain. The employees here are all wonderful It is always a pleasure to bump into building owner Logan, he always has a positive vibe and has uplifted the ambiance at Costa Mesa Kitchens. I cannot forget to mention the food, I've tried many of the food options available here and have not been let down! Haute Dawgs & Haute Chx are my go to lately! Fresh and flavorful every time, restaurant owner Keith is great! Goop is fabulous, they have something for everyone on their menu. I also recommend the WingStop here, it's my favorite Wing Stop, my order is always ready on time with zero mistakes. I recently tried the new restaurant Green Tomato Grill, I LOVE the Baja tots! Check this place out and see why the orders coming out of here are being delivered all over Orange County read more

If you have no idea what you want to eat, you go here. Parking sucks and there's no where to sit to eat so this is a place you order ahead or order there and go somewhere else to eat. They have screens you go to choose what to eat and they offer more than the few restaurants you see set up on some of the big screens. The people working there are very nice and kind and serve delicious food. read more

CMK has a new manager in charge and he is whipping things into shape here! The entire CMK team is helpful and great attitudes. The facility is continuously being cleaned, maintained and updated so hats off to Logan and his team. Looking forward to seeing CMK flourish! read more

I got some food from one of these stores and kitchens and it was great. Little overpriced but food tasted like actual food

This is a pickup and delivery place only, there's 27+ kitchens in it and it's very fancy, there's a lot of amazing options to choose from such as goop kitchen, panini kabob grill, wingstop and a lot of sushi places, there's all kind of food. The staff is very nice and helpful. read more

The place is an absolute joke. It's always full of 20-30 drivers scamming the system with three phones. A lot of Brazilians and Arabs working the system to their advantage. Even a lot of the front desk people are Brazilian and seem to be in cahoots with these scammers. I've called out multiple people that are using fake accounts. It's blatant and they get mad if you call out their activity. These people have ruined the gig economy and even Star you down when you walk up and not one of them. The confidence level of these scammers is astonishing. Not to mention the wait times since all the restaurants in there are dealing with box front store demand but have 1-2 people making the food. Place is a mess. read more

Interesting concept. No seating, no indoor dining, take out only! There are approximately 3 dozen kitchens to order from. Only a half dozen kitchens that you can see. The rest are behind the wall and accessible via a digital kiosk and then you grab your food from a pickup window. Really you're supposed to order your food online and then pick it up or have a service like DoorDash deliver it to you. See the full list of kitchens at CostaMesaKitchens.com read more

Welcome Costa Mesa (ghost) Kitchen! :) Finally someone has taken over the former Grant Boys location. Limited parking at about 10 parking spots, this is a ghost kitchen, so there are no tables inside to dine-in. It's a grab your food and go. Also there are big tablet screens so you can order there as well. So far Goop Kitchen is the 1st vendor to open for business. Ordered a miso salmon salad from Goop. It was a little on the pricey side for a salad, but the ingredients were fresh and the dressing was ... Chef's Kiss! Looking forward to seeing more restaurants pop-up there soon! read more

My husband and I were craving lobster, so we decided to check out Hook & Anchor Express. I've never been to the original location, but we both wanted something quick since we were stopping by the area. We ordered a lobster roll (6 oz) with fries, lobster fries ($18) , and lobster mac and cheese ($18) to share. I definitely think we over-ordered .. We ended up taking the mac and cheese home, because sharing the sandwich and fries was more than enough. We were helped by the lovely Austin. He was super nice and worked really quickly to get our order done. We were able to eat our food outside by the parking lot. There were a few of tables with a pair of chairs for each table. read more

This is probably the best high quality ghost kitchen in Orange County. It is full of premium restaurants such as goop Kitchen, Sushi Trends, and Costa Mesa Bento for take-out or delivery. They also have some undiscovered gems like Mimi Chicken Rice and CinnaMom. It's a busy place, so they've invested in parking assistance and technology to speed the take-out process, especially for large orders for a business lunch. They brought out a large cart and helped me load my car for my last trip. The people behind the counter are always very quick and responsive (like David who welcomed me today as soon as I walked in to pick up my order). read more

Super cool concept and easy pick up experience! Tried Yanagi sushi and can't wait to try the rest of the restaurants here!

Parking is terrible to pick up your order. Extremely limited! Once parked pickup is easy

Amazing!!! From beginning to end! Food was great! David provided us with excellent service. Definitely returning, thanks again!
