She gave me a fantastic haircut that I'm absolutely thrilled with--she really listened to what I wanted and did an amazing job. What truly stood out, though, was her kindness. I had my 3-year-old with me, and she was incredibly patient and thoughtful, even sharing snacks to help keep him happy and comfortable during my appointment. That level of care meant so much. On top of all that, she went above and beyond by not charging me for my haircut after there had been a misunderstanding with my appointment time the previous day. Her generosity and professionalism were so appreciated, and it's clear she genuinely cares about her clients. If you're looking for someone who is not only talented but also compassionate, patient, and truly goes the extra mile, I highly recommend booking with Debbie. I'll definitely be back!

A friend of mine who works at MAC in Meadowood Mall recommended her to me, and I decided to get my first Brazilian from her today because I heard such great things. Not only was it quick and barely hurt (she does it UBER quickly using only two strips of hard wax for each side), she's very experienced (worked for Aveda for over 5 years), is a diligent perfectionist (making sure to get every single stray and fine hair), and is a super sweet, funny, great conversationalist (which makes the time fly and puts you COMPLETELY at-ease even when you are totally spreading your legs at her like you're giving birth! I totally felt like I was chatting with a friend like normal LOL). She is also very knowledgable, and I trust that her other services will be just as excellent as her waxing. I'm excited to go back to her to get eye-lash extensions as she's advertising $125 for a full set right now. I already made my next appointment to get waxed again next month. I highly recommend Alana, and will probably make an appointment pretty soon for a facial as well (she got the "Best of Reno Magazine" 2011 for her facials)!

I had my hair shaped up after a previous haircut where my stylist used thinning shears (a big mistake). Thinning shears are never good on curly hair, as they destroy the curl pattern. Rossio was my stylist, and she did a wonderful job cutting my hair, giving it a hydrating hair mask, and taking her time with my curly hair. Her technique made my curls bounce and look fantastic. Not only did she do an excellent job with the cut, but she also coached me on a hair routine to maintain my curls. She taught me about soothing cream, moisturizing gel and shampoo and conditioner technique. I was blown away by her knowledge and skill set. This was my first actual appointment with Jade, although I had already gone in for a consultation…read morebeforehand--and that consultation alone already made a strong impression and helped me feel comfortable trusting her with my hair. During the consultation, Jade took her time in a way that immediately stood out. She didn't rush through anything or treat it like a quick overview. Instead, she really listened to what I wanted, asked thoughtful questions, and carefully looked at my hair's current condition and history. What I appreciated most was how honest she was while still being kind--she didn't just tell me what I wanted to hear, she explained what would actually work best for my hair in terms of color results, maintenance, and overall health. She walked me through different possibilities and made sure I understood the reasoning behind her recommendations. By the end of that consultation, I already felt like she had a clear, personalized plan for me, which made me feel confident going into the actual appointment. When I came in for the service, Jade picked up right where we left off. She revisited everything we discussed during the consultation and made sure we were still aligned before starting. I really appreciated that she didn't assume anything--she checked in with me, confirmed the details, and made me feel involved in the process from the very beginning. Throughout the appointment, she was extremely communicative in a calm, natural way. She explained each step as she went--whether she was applying color, adjusting tones, sectioning, or cutting--and always made sure I understood what she was doing and why. It made the entire experience feel very transparent and reassuring. Instead of sitting in silence wondering what was happening, I felt included and informed the whole time. Her attention to detail was one of the most impressive parts. She didn't rush at any stage, even when it took extra time to refine things. With the haircut, she carefully shaped and rechecked sections to make sure everything flowed properly and suited my face shape. With the color, she was very intentional about tone balance and blending, making sure it looked natural, even, and well-integrated rather than patchy or overdone. Even after the main work was done, she continued making small refinements--adjusting little details that most people might not notice but that make a big difference in the final result. What made the experience feel even more special was the way Jade carries herself with genuine warmth. Even though this was my first full appointment with her, she made the environment feel very comfortable and welcoming. It never felt clinical or transactional--it felt personal in a really natural way, like she genuinely cared about how I felt during the process and how I would feel leaving. And at the end of the appointment, when everything was finished and I was fully styled, she gave me a hug. It wasn't rushed or awkward--it felt very genuine and kind, like a small but meaningful moment of connection after the service. That hug honestly made the whole experience feel even more personal and memorable. It gave a sense of warmth and care that went beyond just doing my hair well--it felt like she truly values the people she works with. Leaving the salon, I felt really happy with my hair, but also genuinely taken care of as a person. Even though this was just my first appointment, it already felt like I had found someone I could trust long-term with my hair. Jade combines technical skill, communication, attention to detail, and genuine kindness in a way that made the entire experience stand out.

My request was very straightforward: have the grown-out sections re-highlighted and brighten the rest of my hair so that the overall color was even more blonde and brighter. Unfortunately, I left the salon with brown hair. It honestly looks like she just made it go back to my natural hair color. I have never, ever left a salon with my hair darker than when I walked in, especially when I specifically asked for my hair to be brighter and more blonde. I know some people may feel like that means a person doesnt know what they're doing, but to me it was a strength. It conveyed she really cared to take care of me and not just do a good job but the *right* job. Overall, extremely friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, transparent, communicative, honest and talented. I cannot speak on the salon itself, only the lash artist Cristina Phillips…read more I've been going to Cristina IG is @fookyu_cristina since November. I always keep my appointments or try and reschedule if I have a sick kid or husband. I always pay without issue and always always tip. On 6/6 I had an appointment after work, like normal. My lash fills take normally 2-3 hours. Partially because I have a bladder disease and do take breaks to void my bladder. I let her know this day 1 because I don't want to make her late for other appointments or her family, etc. she never said it was a problem. Anyways after almost 3 hours of a fill, where my lashes were messed up from the prior fill 2 weeks earlier, I was shocked when I saw my lashes were NOT ok. Sparse and clumpy. She said she was sorry but I had so many baby lashes I couldn't have my full lashes. Paid $70 and tipped $20 cash. I drove home, which is 60 miles away. When I got home I saw just how bad they were. I messaged her and said hey it's not your fault but I can't do these I don't like them. She said sorry but then agreed to see me Monday, not Tuesday, and I said great. 30 min maybe we can get them fixed a bit. I showed up at 5:05pm on Monday 6/9. She wasn't there. The woman at the salon was doing hair and told me Cristina would be right back. 20 min later I messaged Cristina she didn't reply. She didn't even read the message. 20 minutes after that, I said I have to go. Salon worker apologized and said she didn't hear from Cristina at all either. I messaged Cristina and then decided to move on and try and find a new artist to fix and repair my eyes even if I had to be without extensions for awhile. After ONE ENTIRE WEEK, I got that weird message from Cristina. I had already moved on and found a girl who agreed to try and repair me. My eyes were bruised and in pain from the glue and clumps stuck on my lids. When I asked for a refund she blocked me from on FB and IG. If she didn't like me after 7 months she could've been honest. If she didn't like my queer family she could've been honest. I feel she purposely messed up my lashes and caused me pain and drama. Beware. I have many photos and my new last tech told me that Cristina glued the lashes to my LID. I am not perfect I pee a lot and I snore when I fall asleep, but I tolerated her vaping in my face when I was laying down and the 2-3 hour fills. Im sorry she hates me so much and I would like my money back.
