I called at 4:30 and asked for a 5 PM appointment and let them know that I needed to try to be finished by 5:30. I really just needed a pedicure and this should've totally been possible. When I walked in, they were full and told me I'd have to wait. After 15 minutes, I gave up. If I had been told that they were busy and couldn't get an appointment, I would have called elsewhere. This place is honestly very dirty. I'm not even confident that they properly sanitize their tools between clients. The workers themselves had unclean nails and weren't wearing gloves, which is really concerning in a setting like this. There was also a young technician who didn't speak any English and seemed to just do whatever he wanted instead of following any clear process. At one point, he had me rest my hand on a roll of toilet paper to elevate my arm... seriously? Overall, it felt very unprofessional and unsanitary. I wouldn't feel comfortable coming back. read more

Finding this place was a happy accident and I'm so glad I did! I was looking for nail salons for a last minute appointment since my go-to place was fully booked. Luckily this one popped up on Yelp and they were able to take me in right away. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with the friendliest staff and seated right away. I recently moved to Glendale and have been nail bar shopping for the longest. I am so happy I tried Cosmo Nails. It's a small nail bar tucked away in a shopping center on Ocean View. All the staff are very nice and take care of you, your hands and toes! The girl who did my nails took her time to ensure the shape of my nails were all even. Now the girl who did my pedicure? She SLAYED my pedicure and the foot massage she gave was the cherry on top. I am definitely going back. I hate to leave a negative review but the truth must be told! I went in requesting for a dip powder manicure refill in order to be more cost and time efficient since I had my small kids with me and time was of the essence. They completely turned down my wishes because to them it wouldn't be that profitable or worth their while. So rather, I ended up getting a brand new set of dip powder manicure since they left me with no option. I kept insisting why in confusion because I know other salons do and not to mention watching endless tutorial videos online of other nail technicians that do refills on dip powder nails so I couldn't understand why they kept denying the service?? Anyway, to make matters worse, right in the middle of my manicure, my technician, Henry, called a lady there to complete my manicure because he wanted to attend another lady who had walked in with no appointment but with more services needed $$$ The lady that took over did not finish the job leaving my finger nails messy dirty and crusty with paint inside as seen on the images provided for review. I'm sad and disappointed because usually they have always done a pretty decent job and they have never had a problem with my kids sitting there waiting for me which was very nice of them. read more

I don't like giving negative reviews but I want to share so others can be aware. I've been here for pedicures before and always thought they did a decent job. This visit I got GelX nails and as you can see by the photo they are all uneven. Especially the pinky nails. One of the index extensions were crooked. They only let me look at one color palette. The one I wanted was originally a color that I had gotten before. They said it was not as "new" which is fine but I loved that color. I was getting them done for a wedding so I'd hoped it would be done well, or at least make the nails the same size on each hand. While sanding down my thumb nail he kept sanding the same side and it started to burn. When he clipped my nails he got so close to the skin it hurt so much I'm surprised it didn't bleed. If you get GelX nails I wouldn't recommend Danny. I won't be returning. read more

Today I went to Cosmo Nails to get a wax job by Nina. She did an amazing job. She was very patient. Then I got my nails done by Ariel and she did such a detailed job and got my nails done exactly the way I wanted . Then I wanted to treat myself so I asked for a massage and Michelle gave me the best neck and head massage. She used this nice massage cream that smelled good and she did such a great amazing job. I feel so relaxed. This was my first time here and it will not be my last. It was such a great experience. I highly recommend these three ladies. read more

I came here tonight for what was the fastest pedicure I've ever gotten in my life. The lady doing my pedicure kept trying to up charge me for every single thing, including $10 for 5 min extra of a massage... her massage was maybe 30 sec long (no exaggeration) A girl started right next to me at the same time and she had a nice long pedicure. Mine was done in less than half the time. I'm very disappointed. As much as she was nice, avoid the very first stall, where this lady works. This place was empty and there was no need to rush me. Inconsistent work. Continually overbooking themselves - went in to have them fix two nails of their own work, someone applied the base color and then they took 4 walk ins after me and left me sitting waiting for someone who could do the chrome finish on my 2 nails for over an hour. When I asked what was happening I got attitude and they argued between themselves and left me sitting basically in a passive aggressive time out while they rendered services to people that had come after me. For a fix on 2 nails. Really negative experience. Never coming again. Update to response from business 07/28/24. I understood you perfectly. Especially when you were shouting at me and humiliating me, laughing at me as I sat waiting as you took several walk ins after me. I understood you every time you answered the phone in the middle of several customers treatments to take even more people calling to see if they could walk in and get services when you weren't able to adequately render services to the people already in your salon. I understood you when you kept calling the nail tech who did my nails who didn't pick up the phone to you. Your time management and overbooking is a persistent issue and you cannot blame me for that. If you didn't have the time to take me you could have said so, but you did not. I asked for a polish change because the color was not what I had expected. When the base color changes the top finish looks different. I understood all that perfectly. But what I especially understood was you berating me in front of a store full of customers, laughing at me, humiliating me, implying I was stupid and being aggressive towards me when I insisted on your attention vs. waiting while you took more walk ins. This was my 3rd visit to you and your attitude towards requests for alterations to the work you are doing as services are rendered is always met with open hostility and derision. Just as you have continued to do in your response. Overall, you kept me for 90 minutes at your salon being alternately mistreated, ignored, shouted at, argued with, wasting time trying to prove me wrong, just to have a very easy resolution in the end which was to put the chrome finish on the base color. Like I told you yesterday, there was no need for you to treat me that way, or be so frustrated. Instead of focusing on the solution, you chose to focus on blaming me. My previous experiences with your salon and your response only validates my decision to choose another salon in future. Thank you. read more

The pedicure Technician was absolutely awful. She has cut my toe nails so short that it hurts. Even yesterday when she was shortening my nails I told her that it hurts. I went in on Thursday, asked for dip base and gel on top; the gel came off one of my fingers 5 minutes after I left the salon and I went back and they fixed it, I thought I had done something that caused it to come off BUT what followed made me realize that I wasn't the issue, it's their polish or application. So, made a 2:30p appt for 2 pedicures, 1 manicure and 1 full set. When I called I told them I had open availability, they chose this time. It's now almost 2 hours later, and we've been sitting here over an hour and it seems they have forgotten our manicures until just 5 mins ago, meanwhile cycling through other people just fine. So no. This place forgot about us, sitting right there in front of them with only two other chairs full and we didn't even get half our booked services. Maybe we just weren't good enough? I made a same day appointment for 2 pm for two people. Once there all technicians were busy so had to wait about 20 minutes before someone could start working on us, which was okay because we were able to sit in their massage chairs and relax while waiting. The service was good. Our nails looked nice. It was a pleasant experience until it came time to pay the bill. I had dropped in the day before to inquire about the pricing for a mani pedi. I was told $50. Before starting the process was handed a price list. The cost for a basic mani pedi was listed as $50. My daughter opted for the basic mani pedi with the addition of gel polish for the manicure only. She brought her own gel polish. The technician told her it would be $15 extra. This was also the price listed on the price list. I asked for the basic mani pedi with the addition of a paraffin hand treatment. It was listed as $12 extra on the price list. The technician dealing with payment overcharged both of us, $70 instead of $65 ($50 + $15) for the basic mani pedi with gel manicure and $65 instead of $62 for the basic mani pedi with the addition of the paraffin. When I pointed out the fees on the price list she said that those were old prices and that the technician who quoted us $15 for the gel was a new employee and didn't know that it was more. I argued the point so she called up the owner on the phone. There was a loud lengthy discussion whereby it was insisted that those were old prices on the price list. I said that in that case they needed to provide customers with current price lists. Finally, she agreed to charge the amount we were quoted but then when ringing me up said that it was $137 total. I pulled out my calculator and showed her that it added up to $127. The whole ordeal of what the total was took almost ten minutes. I still left a $25 tip but left feeling like they were trying to rip me off, so I think I'll find another place next time I want to have my nails done. The relaxing feeling disappeared fast and was replaced with frustration and irritation. read more
