As many NJ condos, our HOA requires a yearly dryer vent cleaning. I used corvelli air duct cleaners. They arrived on time, did the work properly insofar as I could judge it and all in all, it was a good service at a reasonable price. I ended up speaking to the boss asking him if I should have my vents and registers cleaned. I had it done about three year ago, the first time I've done it since I've owned the condo. He looked around and sniffed. He said you don't need it unless the place smells, which it didn't, or I had lots of furry animals. Two cats did not meet that threshold. He said "people say you need it every two or three years, but you don't need it unless there's a problem or lots of pets". You can go for ten years without a cleaning. Dante's men arrived on time introduced themselves and immediately went to work to clean our heating/ AC ducts. They laid down drop cloths leading to the basement and wore booties. Corvelli was asked to come look for a possible remediation in my attic. I found out later that they had been paid by Rich Davidson, an ac provider in the area. They told me remediation was not possible and I should hire Davidson. It felt like a set up. They would not put anything in writing for the insurance company. Corvelli sent two men to clean the ducts in both my AC and heating systems. They took about 3 hours, were very tidy and clean, and extremely curious. I had neglected in advance to notify them of an allergy that I had to the disinfecting agents that they used, and when I discovered my mistake, they completely remediated the cleaning agent with attention to detail and courteous concern. To remove the cleaning smell (which itself was pleasant smelling, though I was allergic to it) they were here for an extra 3 hours and did not charge me for that extra time, spraying and wiping down each duct twice, and they even went so far as to repair my old ceiling fan in order to help circulate the air in my house to remove any residual smell. They will be returning tomorrow free of charge just to check up on the job and to turn off my attic fan for me (which is quite old and difficult to control). Regarding the cleaning of the ducts, I watched their procedures which seemed thorough. They inserted a long hose which blew air along the ducts toward the units, from where they then removed the dust. The hose was several feet long, which the men moved up and down each duct tunnel to loosen and move the dust. I will be using Corvelli again in another three years to clean my ducts. They were thorough, professional, and attentive to my specific needs. read more

I would like to put no stars! The owner on the phone who made the appointment was nice, but he outsources his services. The service man he sent over, looked like a man picked up on the street in search for a job! I have a feeling that he was not even licensed. He came in scooping my house like he was going to come back to burgarlize it and he was asking personal questions like where is the owner and do you live here. He also changed the price that I was given on the phone to more money. My mother did not budge and stood at the price quoted. If you want a bait and switch company this is it! they take forever to call back and when they do they are extremely rude. We gave them specific information how many vents and how many units we had. They gave us a quote over the phone. When they finally showed up I wanted to confirm the price. The price went up by $280! When we called they were unprofessional and rude. he actually denied it. We tried to negotiate a deal since I had already taken the day off - then He literally hung up on his workers! We are not first time homeowners or first time cleaning our ducts. I have used this company in the past and never had a problem. I have a townhouse that is in a community that gives this company alot of business. However, I will NOT recommend them, nor will I ever use them again. i made an appointment with them and they failed to show up- THREE TIMES. even after i explained that the house was empty, had no furniture, and i had to bring my young child. i waited a total of 7 hours- on 3 different days. I was a first time customer. This man is rude. He was so brusque on the first phone call that I made to him that I had to call back to find out basic info like how he would charge me. I discussed with him that my registers were off, and that they needed to be put back on. He said they don't do that & had me call my heating/cooling company. His guys get here, and say why didn't I tell them I have registers.....huh? I call him to clarify. He's rude some more, but says he'll have them do it. I told them to call his workers to tell them. He calls back & says they WONT b/c they've done "extra work." This "extra work" entailed putting plastic drop cloths over my bed, clothes & woindow coverings in a small townhouse. I actually helped them do it & used my own supplies! They left without replacing my registers. So, protecting your belongings evidently is not in their normal scope of work, and neither is putting your registers back on. I will never use these people again, and I'd advise you to think hard about whether you want to use them at all. This is not their first negative review. read more
