I did more than an hour of research to narrow down the best options for dryer vent cleaning in Bergen County. I had dozens of tabs open on my web browser. I decided to go with A Plus, and it was a very good decision. We called and spoke with Danielle and made an appointment, they were pretty booked and busy back in early September. But she got back to us with an earlier appointment and Tom made it to us on time and prepared to clean the dryer vent. He explained what he would do, how he would do it, I watched as he worked and his approach - I had seen several YouTube videos of how it's done, but seeing someone actually do it was interesting for me. We weren't completely sure the dryer vent cleaning would fix the problem - but Tom gave us confidence that we didn't need to buy a new dryer, that the dryer vent cleaning would solve the problem. And guess what? He was right. We didn't have to purchase a new dryer after all, the dryer vent cleaning did the trick and A Plus was very fair in their pricing. We also spoke about other services A Plus provides, including powerwashing and gutter cleaning. Considering how happy we were with the dryer vent cleaning, we called Danielle back recently and look forward to A Plus to clean our gutters and downspouts. Tom knows his stuff and we now have confidence in him to take over our bi-yearly gutter cleaning. It's not just their company's name, it's how I describe their service. A Plus. read more

I was so impressed by this company. Professional and no BS. The office was warm and polite when I set up appointment and the confirmed the day before. The guys who came out to the house did a great job and were obviously knowledgeable and experienced. They kept me informed along the way of any issues. They put down plastic drop cloths to catch up any debris and used a shopvac before they left. No need to look any further -- this company is the best. read more

Called up for a vent cleaning, owner came out himself and did an amazing job on a long/difficult run, charged a very fair price. Service was the best I could imagine, if you EVER need service, call A Plus. read more

They cleaned our dryer vent. They had to return to replace the dryer vent cover. They were friendly and quick service.

Tom and Liam were great. Chose them b/c of their great reviews on google and yelp. They went above and beyond. Took of their shoes when entering my home. Were through, knowledgable, and genuinely good people. Highly recommend. read more

These guys are really fantastic. They promptly responded to an inquiry that I placed through Yelp and scheduling a dryer vent cleaning was a breeze. I had contemplated having my air ducts cleaner, but Tom was 100% honest and told me that I likely didn't need to have them cleaned yet unless I had bad allergies. It came up in conversation that his company also does power washing. I hired them and they did an amazing job. House was spotless and the price was extremely reasonable. I'd highly recommend. read more

I usually go with businesses that have more reviews than A Plus currently has (4). But due to the quick responses and reasonable quote, I decided to give them a try. The other places I considered also do air duct cleaning, but I decided to put that off until later. Thomas was able to get me in right away. He was great at communication. Showed up in the time frame estimated and did a great job. He was more than helpful and I will definitely use A Plus next time I'm in need of drying vent cleaning and inspection services. I would highly recommend this business! read more

Pleasant, straightforward transaction. Making the appointment was easy, good communication throughout. Tom gave me an honest price for my dryer vent cleaning and some honest advice. Will be using this company again and recommending to others. read more

I used A Plus to have all my vents and ducts cleaned. They were so nice and did an awesome job! I highly recommend them.

Wow if I could give them 100 stars I would! Let me first start off by saying that I asked around before I decided to go with these guys. I spoke to about 5 different places and they were the most reasonably priced. They were extremely professional, on time and they wore masks throughout the entire process. If you see the pictures below that I attached, my parents house vents were never cleaned...ever. They did an amazing job cleaning it all up, entertained my son while he was asking them 100,000 questions about what they were doing (sorry about that lol) and they didn't leave behind any mess. I will be making sure to tell anyone I know who's buying a home or needs a cleaning to go to these guys. Thank you guys so much! read more

I received 5 quotes on power washing my house. Wide range of price estimates. Also what would include and not. Thomas gave me a estimate and when contacting about other items like my front steps he told me that was included in his quote already. I felt very comfortable with the responses I received from him. I also had them clean out my dryer vent while cleaning the house. They arrived between the hour they told me. Amazing job done on my house garage and front steps. I am beyond happy. I would use them again and highly recommend them! read more

A Plus Dryer Vent Cleaning - Air Duct Cleaning Near Me

Granted my dryer is old in the condo I recently purchased. The technician over charged me for vacuuming lint and dust out of the dryer's casing. He claimed the outside of the dryer was hot because of the lint and dust inside. After his expensive vacuuming it's still hot. I will not use this company again. read more

I had Tom come to do power washing. Of all the quotes I received (5 total) A Plus Dryer Vent Cleaning was the most reasonable. Also, the positive reviews from other customers made it a no-brainer. Everything looked great! In the end, Tom and his team are a great service, price, and was honest about what I did/didn't need to get done. Highly recommend! read more

Great job! New house with a completely clogged duct from the dryer. Professional work, professional attitude!

Just had dryer vent cleaned. Very professional and ontime. Could not be happier.

Would like to commend Tom on a great job with our air duct and dryer vent cleaning. After making an appointment, they gave us a window of their arrival a few days in advance. They also called on the day of service to confirm, and arrived right on time! In the era of Covid, we are all a bit concerned about our health. Both Tom and another gentleman wore masks while they worked, and did a great job cleaning up everything after they were done. As for the quality of their work, my husband and I felt it was excellent. We had a lot of stuff built up (for decades) in our vents, and now we no longer have the constant dust blowing through our vents that we used to. We also did get a few quotes prior to going with Tom, but his price was very reasonable; more importantly - he sounded ethical and reliable, which proved to be accurate! read more

Tom was friendly, prompt, and did an excellent job getting my dryer vent cleared of lots of lint and dog hair! My dryer works great again! I was happy that A-Plus' price was the lowest out of 4 quotes! When I asked if we can have a regular twice/year service- he explained that yearly should be more then adequate for our short basement dryer vent - he's honest too!! Look no further- call and get your vents cleaned. They apparently also clean gutters and power wash exteriors as well. read more

Tom and Liam were extremely~ thorough; they were also transparent about their process and what we did and did not need. We've hired 2 other groups in the past but Tom/Liam's quality of work far exceeds that of the others. They wound up finding and patching a hole in our HVAC system as well. They definitely take their time and bring a level of meticulousness to their work. Imo these guys need more reviews on Yelp but there's not much say - more than fair prices for quality work... read more

Highly recommend Tom and A Plus Vent Cleaning. I called at 10:00 and he was at my house by 12. Offered to take off his shoes and went right to work. The other place I called gave me a date 3 weeks away. Not only did he clean the vent he found a mistake that was made by a previous repairman and fixed it. The ballpark figure he gave me on the phone was what I paid and it was a very fair price. When you call, you get Tom and not some call center. Look no further. read more

Tom has done work for my mom a few times, most recently her roof was all moldy and green, Tom did an outstanding job, her roof looks brand new now! He's honest, professional and is very detail oriented. Highly recommended. read more

Loved they performed COVID test recently and kept their interactions to the environment (such as furniture) to the minimum. It is not only about good work. There needs to be a very high health standards before allowing someone enter my home at this moment. A Plus scores A+ on this. Highly recommend. read more

I needed to clean the dryer vent in another place I owned and called Thomas again. As expected, he picked up the phone right away, gave me time slots he was available and booked the appointment. He contacted me before he came over, showed up on time, was very courteous and covered his shoes again, and did a great job. He was very thorough, polite, and professional. Also, he overcharged me $5 and actually drove back to my place to return the money. It doesn't get more honest than that. I strongly recommend Thomas and A Plus. He gets the job done and his prices are very fair. He is a pleasure to work with. Thanks Thomas! read more

These guys are great! Came out within 24 hrs to unclog a dryer vent on the second floor. Courteous and professional, went over and beyond for my elderly parents. Adhered to all Covid19 protocols. Will use again. read more

My wife and I needed our gutters cleaned and contacted several companies in the area. At the recommendation of a neighbor (who spoke highly of their experience) we reached out to A Plus. Tom discussed our issues, explained what they would do and outlined our costs clearly. He and his coworker, Liam, arrived on schedule. They were both friendly, efficient and professional. The gutters that were most severely clogged were too high for me to do safely but posed no problem for A Plus. They worked neatly and quickly around our house cleaning the gutters and repairing some spots that he had anticipated would need repair when we originally booked the job. During the job he informed us that our discolored roof could be restored to almost new. My wife and I discussed it and have contracted to have that done because of the quality of their work and fair cost. We are very happy with the work done on our gutters and look forward to the work scheduled for our roof. I highly recommend A Plus Dryer Vent Cleaning for their clear communication, honest and fair pricing and extraordinary work. Thank you Tom & Liam. read more

I called A Plus when my dryer started having a burning smell over the weekend. I immediately realized it could likely be the dryer vent needing cleaning. Left them a contact me message on their website Sunday evening. They promptly called back on Monday morning and scheduled a visit for Tuesday. The technician Tom came over and arrived on time, super polite and even took his shoes off outside our house at our request. His calm demeanor and ability to explain all things was a big bonus. He was at home for maybe 30 minutes and did a great job cleaning out dryer went and went the extra mile. Anyone looking for a dryer vent cleaning or installation, I would highly recommend A-Plus. My dryer is working great now! read more

Tom was very professional and was able to see us same day. They were on time, thorough, and did a fantastic job. I could see the hustle and could tell they weren't skirting any corners.
