The owner might not realize but he is a rude person, however the girls are very pleasant and do a great job. The meat or beef was not really prepared Argentinian style, it was too thin, overcooked and also expensive. In the past It used to be better not too mention crowded. I hope it changes. However I have no plans to go back soon. read more

We found our new go to spot when we want a great piece of meat, large portions, excellent Chimichurri sauce, fantastic empanadas, a wonderful host, and great background Latin music. I never give reviews. However, my wife and I felt compelled because we felt lucky to have found this place. The owner, Gabriel, is a happy, easy going person who just wants you to enjoy his food. His all-around helper is a sweetheart. It is my understanding that they stay open until 1am on Saturday nights so that you can dance the night away. I wish him all the success in the world. We ate a couple of empanadas. My wife had a steak. I ate a flattened, breaded steak, with sliced ham, marinara sauce, and melted mozzarella on top. It came with well-prepared fries and a bountiful salad. I recommend this place. P.S. The place is clean, organized, and the bathrooms are spotless. read more

For starters I rarely leave a review unless it's a positive review. So let me start by saying the staff was friendly and attentive. However the food didn't match the staff. The pasta sauce tasted like it was out of a jar. The topped parm cheese tasted like it was from a pre shredded container from the store and was not fresh. I had to add "hot sauce" served with the bread to it just to get some of it in. The price paid was def not worth the quality of food. The caprese salad was decent but needed more balsamic glaze. The empanadas were dry with minimal flavor. The Alfredo sauce was very salty but the chicken was decent. Fettuccini noodles had to be switched out for linguini noodles but not a huge deal. The decor and large screens were nice but there was a flying insect of some sort flying around disturbing our peace and it was very warm in the Resturant that 2 of the guests at our table were sweating. read more

tried this place for the first time tonight.. not many people but the food was great. prices are fair and the service was great. they even brought us a plate of empanadas at no charge. the meat is not ruths chris quality but for the price you get your money's worth. it's a comfortable place, we will definitely be back. glad we tried it. read more

PSA: First thing first, the owner/manager Gabriel is by far the nicest and generous person I've met so far. Every time I come in I'm always greeted with a nice smile and a sweet greet. Gabriel has definitely turned this place around, it's coming together perfectly and the place is always squeaky clean. Disclaimer: I rate on harsher scale than most people, so feel free to add a star. Place is a casual spot with good food. Not a place for romantic dinner, but excellent for a hungry individual. Prices are very moderate, and portions are huge. You have to eat for 15 minutes before you can see what color is the plate! Milanese- very good, with just enough tomato sauce, not to overpower the beef flavor. The food in here is very below average, not sure what the marinades are, the meat was also so charred you couldn't tell what it was either. This was not helped by a really rude guy in his late 40s with black curtain hair on a laptop who takes comment on food badly. Very rude indeed. Argentinian Restaurant. We were on the hunt for a Peruvian place when we ended up here because the peruvian place was closed. I did not at all look up the reviews for this place so I guess I should not have been surprised. Not a bad looking place but not too classy. Metal chairs and basic tables with just napkins, knives and a fork. Right from the start the service could have been better. There wasn't really anyone in there except for 3 people that could have worked there. They just pointed us over to a seat and we sat. I deduct points for service. Argentinean servers in my unfortunate experience have not always been so friendly. I guess I should somehow get use to. I mean I got use to Vietnamese restaurants being rude. We got free bread and spicy dip. We got Inca cola. It use to be special but after visiting Brazilian and Peruvian restaurants, I think I have gotten use to it being a south American drink. I think everyone should try the two person meal because they bring you out alot of food and there is a lot of variety to try everything from chorizo sausage, blood sausage, chicken, shortribs and other meats. The Plus though is the Price. Significantly cheaper than say Buenos Aires. $24 for a 2 person meal with all that food. read more

We went to Corrientes for early dinner yesterday. The chicken milanesa and milanesa napolitana were good and the portions were huge. Oval dinner plates covered end to end with milanesa... I don't know how they get chicken breasts that big. The milanesa napolitana tasted good but could have used a bit more tomato sauce. I didn't try it myself but others in our party said the mashed potato (regular not garlic) was good. I didn't find the need to put mustard, chimichuri or anything else on the milanesa. We ordered both their beef and chicken empanadas. Although they were fried instead of baked they were not at all oily or greasy on the outside, and even the beef empanadas only had a little bit of oilyness at the bottom of what would be the last bite. Both beef and chicken were good, but in my opinion they could have been a little larger. These are the regular, not little cocktail size empanadas. Everyone liked the chimichuri but I thought it was sort of bland... however I really like *spicy* food so keep that in mind. The service was timely and attentive and the waiter, who may have been the owner, had a sense of humor. I found their prices are moderate, we averaged about $14 per person total without ordering any alcohol. A note about parking: they share the small parking lot with a night club in the same shopping center, so spaces may be hard to find on a Friday or Saturday night. Their location on the corner of Reseda and Topham means curbside parking is possible. read more

I went to lunch yesterday with my co-worker at this Argentine Restaurant in Tarzana, California called Corrientes 348. It was right around the corner from the office, and I been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile. I'm such a big fan of chimichurri sauce and Argentinian empanadas, so I told my co-worker lets go. The menu was very simple, and the prices were very reasonable. I ordered 6 beef empanadas, and for $1.90 each, that was a steal. They were pretty big, and I was aiming to finish 3, while take the rest home, but I could barely eat 2. The empanadas were very large, and the only drawback I could suggest, is that the meat could be a little more flavorful. Other than that, they were still quite yummy. They served it with a nice side of chimichurri sauce, which is a garlic, parsley, olive oil puree sauce, very popular in Argentine cooking. It is very common to serve chimichurri on top of steak, bread, you name it. The chimichurri was fresh and was delicious. My overall experience was pleasant. The service was very good and quite fast. The only drawback is that you must bring cash. It's a whole in the wall, so don't expect some fine dining. The interior is covered with Western style decor. I will definitely be coming back for more empanadas! read more

Not a very intimate setting. I went on a Friday night and there was no-one there except the owner and some relative who was complaining about her man problems in Spanish (or at least that's what it looked like). I ordered a chicken empanada and a milanesa sandwich de pollo. They didn't have any beef empanada's that late in the day. The bread and chimichurri was AMAZING while we waited for our food. The fries, sandwich were pretty good. Given we did go on a Friday night the parking lot was packed with the people attending the club but he reserved two spots for patrons. The empanadas are amazing & would be my main reason for returning :) and the chimichurri. read more

This place is amazing. It's not fancy it's more like a hole in a wall. The prices are lower than other Argentinian restaurants. I had a parillada and the meat was amazing! Very tender and juicy! Horacio's cooking is on point! He always surprises me with a dish and I have yet to be disappointed. His cheese empanada is my favorite out of the 4 flavors (second in line is his meat empanada.) But my favorite dish is his medium-rare Sirloin steak with a side of fries. He cooks it to perfection! Soooo juicy and tender. Stop by when you're really hungry because the dishes are overflowing with food. :) Also, don't be shy to ask him to put on your style of music; really enjoy your visit at Corrientes 3-4-8. read more

I like red meat, kind of down to earth guy, I enjoy good food. This restaurant offers the best argentinian style beef in the Valley. The meat is tasty, tender and juicy. The selection of wine is very limited, I guess because most people are not having wine nowadays. That's the negative, at least for me. A must stop for our family every time we're here in San Fernando Valley. An amazing small restaurant with very good food and very friendly owner (always gives us extra bread or empanadas). Our family favorite is the churassco we want to try other item on the menu except that we always end up ordering the churassco and the Argentinian parilla. Everything is just done right, nothing fancy. We have tried all the sides that goes with our order and they were all pretty good. The empanadas were great! Worst service I have ever encountered. After I parked my car right in front of this place, as soon as I walked up to the porch of this place ready to try this argentine food, the owner came up to the front doors shut and locked the door, and turned off the "Open" sign without greeting us or verbally tell us they are closed. As soon as he was finished with this rude gesture, he walked back to his seat without saying anything or make any eye contact. I wouldn't mind to be turned away due to its operating hour, but shutting the door right in my face without saying anything is extremely rude. Went for lunch yesterday. This restaurant has mostly Italian items on the menu. That may be the story with Argentinan food, since this is my first try. The service was OK. The food was mediocre, at best. I had the Pollo Relleno (stuffed chicken). It was dry, and tasted like the freezer. Tried the beef empenada (so-so) and the chicken empanada (good). My friend had the chicken steak. It was flattened, breaded and fried (dry and not a lot of taste). In short, we ate about 20% of our meals before surrendering. I would not recommend. read more

I was driving down from Torrance to go to work and decided to try this place. This is the first restaurant I ever had Argentinian food and I didn't enjoy it. I tried to order a steak and he tried to pressure me to order the most expensive one. I didn't budge and ordered the churrusco instead. I asked for tap water and he said they didn't have any; instead I had to order a coke. Another customer was able to get tap water and that knocked off two stars for lying. Before, I got my steak, they served some bread and dip; which was delicious and one of the few things that kept it from being a one star. The guy who served me also gave me a second serving on the bread, which was nice and the only highlight. When my steak and potato salad came, it was quite bland. For 15.99, though the plate was reasonable and came with the bread; it wasn't worth it. Also, the server just mostly talked to the other customer than worked. It made it seem like, he didn't care much for his job. Would I return? Nope, I hope I go to another Argentinian restaurant; I hope not to encounter situations like this. This is a souring experience and I regret not waiting in line at the Pampa's grill getting quality food and service. It may have taken some time, but I would have enjoyed my food better. The food was below average. The owner was rude and has serious problems understanding that he also should offer service besides food. Also if you go there be aware of his additional undisclosed charges, that according to the owner he includes them to your bill for inflation costs.
