What a cute little family-owned cafe! The owner was so sweet and welcoming and super funny. She offered me a sample of the yerba mate and I did not expect that taste- but it's the good kind of surprise. I got the dulce de leche yerba matte and it was delicious! My boyfriend is a local here and has been here a couple of times and always gets the ham and cheese sandwich. Simple yet delicious.

A hidden gem and one of my favorite spots in the valley! Besides the delicious and refreshing yerba mate, the owner is so kind and welcoming! The first time we came, she gave us a run down of the menu, some samples, and, recommendations for flavor combos. I've tried the iced Yerba mate with strawberry + guava as well as with mango + maracuya (passion fruit). The fruit flavors (they use fruit purees!) compliment very nicely with the freshness and slight bitterness to the mate. Such a delicious pick me up on a warm afternoon! A small and cozy cafe, but with tables great for working or chatting. I'll be back for more mate and to try the empandas! Free parking in the lot out front.

The best place for Yerba Mate with fresh fruit purées!! Flavor of the week: Watermelon + Blueberry Crisp, fruity and energizing!! Perfect for the summer!! Lively with regulars on the weekend!! Gabby is the most friendly and personable person!! Such a cozy spot to enjoy the delicious eats and sips!!

What a lovely spot to have a meal or drink and even work a little. My husband visited recently to work and kill some time before he had to pick the kids up. He said it was well set up as a work space which included places to plug in his laptop. He ordered some food to eat there, but was also ordering food to take to the kids. The owner offered to wait to warm up the kids empanadas and even suggested ones that they might enjoy. She will kept their drinks in the fridge until he was ready to leave. They all enjoyed the food and drinks and we'll head back soon to try other options!

I love this place, ever since my Argentinian friend introduced me to it. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and the mate and good are delicious. It feels like a second home here and I love that they don't shy away from their support for equality and human rights. The design is amazing and expressive of their families and cultures I don't think I could ever stop coming here.

I came here with my dad for a Sunday morning breakfast after getting a recommendation from a friend. This is an Argentinian cafe, and while they do serve food like empanadas, you must come here for the mate. I had tried mate before in premade cans at the grocery store and I had liked it! This however; was much better. We were greeted by the owner, a very friendly bilingual (Spanish/English) woman! She asked about our familiarity with mate and though my father had tried it once prior, I told her I had not but that I was here to try it. She offered us two mate samples and I loved them. The drink itself is a blend of green/black tea and tastes like it. I ordered the traditional mate (served hot!) in its traditional cup + straw as well as a few empanadas for breakfast. Hot Mate 5/5, this was a very lovely hot tea. It came with the herbs set up inside the cup above the strainer, a metal straw that connected to the bottom of the cup for you to drink the mate minus the herbs, and a gigantic thermos of hot water alongside to keep refilling my cup with hot water. If you don't love it being bitter but still want it traditional; I'd suggest not letting the water steep for long, but they also do have sweetener you can use as well as blended mate for lattes or juices. Spinach and cheese empanada 5/5, this was my favorite of the empanadas. I think the spinach:cheese ratio was well done and this was nicely savory for breakfast Caprese empanada 3/5, this one was just okay for me, I think it was a little more cheese heavy than I would have liked, I'd try another flavor the next time I swing by

I've been coming here for years now and their coffee and their mate drinks and their food has been very consistent over the years and surprisingly has just gotten better. Their service is exceptional and the owner Gabby is such a darling. Inside there is plenty of seating and they have outlets and Wi-Fi available.

The owner of this local cafe is so nice and accommodating. You can tell that she deeply cares for her patrons happiness and satisfaction from the second they enter her shop. I've tried a few different Yerba mate flavor combos, and so far the guava has been my favorite. They use real fruit purée as their flavor bases, which is amazing. I tend to ask the owner to pick her favorite pastry for me, because they always have many options on hand sometimes it's hard to choose. I love going there to enjoy my drink and snacks while working. There is plenty of table space to set yourself up for a few hours to get some work or studying done *For those that have not tried real Yerba mate tea before, do be aware that it is a slightly bitter tea. Personally I like it, especially when flavored, but not everyone might

A hidden gem! The ambiance is so cute! The green sofas are so pretty and they are comfortable. The staff is super friendly! The owners name is Gaby and she even gave out free pieces of cake to customers for her birthday. Super sweet! I love their blueberry mate-- super refreshing on a hot day and their caprese empanadas are DELICIOUS. Stop by, enjoy, and support small businesses.

I have been wanting to check out this cafe for a while. My wife and I had their lavender mate latte and a slice of the ricotta cake to start off. Both were delicious! We talked with the owner, Gabi, and she explained the history of yerba mate and how it is traditionally made. She made us felt like we belonged there. We enjoyed two empanadas (chicken and beef) that were fantastic! The ambiance was great also. It was lively, but it was not too loud. It is a small cafe with about five tables. It is worth going there to support a local business and to enjoy excellent food and drinks.

My favorite study spot in the valley! Delicious pastries and mate, Gaby makes everyone feel like this is their second home and is so kind and welcoming. Always love the vibe here and never had a bad experienceGracias Gaby!!

We were greeting by a friendly staff member, perhaps the owner, who helped us with our empanada selection. We got spicy chicken, spicy beef, corn, and criolla empanadas. I strongly recommend the Criolla empanada, which is the most traditional, Argentinian empanada. It has ground beef, raisins, eggs, green onions, and spices. It was absolutely delicious and, when I go back, I will select this empanada!! I also recommend the corn empanadas (humita), especially if you're looking for a vegetarian option. It has corn, melted mozzarella, and white sauce. So delicious! I got these to go, but there are cute tables indoors and outdoors if you want to enjoy your empanadas there. They also sell mate and other Argentinian goodies like alfajores. Prices are reasonable; you can purchase just a few or a dozen. This has become my favorite empanada place!

While the empanadas are $7.50 each, they are large and packed pretty well. Unfortunately that's where it ends... I tried four different kinds (cheese and potato, beef, criolla and chicken) and while they tasted fresh, they just didn't have a lot of flavor. I was also a little disappointed that they were fried instead of baked. They don't compare to the empanadas at El Gaucho market in North Redondo Beach, which has been my go to spot for empanadas for a while. Now those are super flavorful. Two disappointing stars for the empanadas and an extra star for customer service.

They have a large assortment of different flavor empanadas. Since it was my first time here, I really appreciated that they marked the fan favorites. We got 3 different flavors as part of the Combo meal with a drink (canned soda of your choice). Carne Asada - This was my favorite! Finely ground beef that's well-seasoned, and very saucy and flavorful. I also love that the empanada didn't break apart given how saucy it was. The outside shell was also very well made. Korean BBQ - This was picked out of curiosity since it was a popular one. This tastes like bulgogi, even the seasoning. Definitely saucier than the Carne Asada, but it did get tricky to eat closer to the end. Chicken - Really wanted to try the Chicken Verde but they were sold out so opted for chicken. It's definitely as expected, but I would like to try the popular Chicken Verde next time. While these are a bit pricy at $6 each, the 3 Empanada + Drink Combo does make it a little better. These are also quite substantial so I can't imagine eating more than two, if you're not that hungry, even one might work as a quick snack. We shared the 3 amongst two people. The ambiance is fun and lively if you like people. It can be crowded and annoying at times given it's GCM. Also, if you are new to this area, there's no AC since it's an open space, so on hot days it can be a lot. They do have seating in the back that have a lot more fans above. After this experience, I would come back again and try some more flavors. I was also surprise to find they have some dessert empanadas too (sweet flavors). This is a great option if you are looking for a snack or quick meal!

They keep a list near the counter where they list their most popular in order by most sold. The service was friendly and the food was prepared insanely fast. I ordered a philly cheesesteak and a korean bbq empanada and they were both good. I don't know that I would order those again. The cheesesteak was good but I believe there was a sweetness from the dough that was throwing me off. For the korean bbq, it was too sweet all together for me and it was a meat overload. I would return to try some of the other flavors but I wouldn't grab these again.

I ordered a dozen empanadas for the take and bake option. I love the take and bake option because it is like having freshly baked empanadas in my own kitchen! World Empanadas has so many empanadas flavors to choose from. I tried a bunch of flavors and I liked all of them! My favorites were the Santa Fe chicken, breakfast, spinach, and the chile con carne. They all had amazing flavor. The order came with a big serving of chimichurri and that was a nice addition to the empanadas. World Empanadas also has breakfast burritos that I am interested in trying next time. Since I don't live close, this is my new stop when I'm going to Burbank airport. Like genuinely one of the best horchata I've ever had, it was super creamy and flavorful but not overly sweet. I tried one of their desserts being their banana and Nutella empanada along with other savory empanadas. Everything was amazing. The Nutella + banana one was definitely a standout for me because they did not hold back at all. It was packed with chocolate and banana in every bite, which I loved because I'm a huge chocolate person. It didn't feel skimpy or dry at all, just super rich and satisfying! For the savory options, I tried the chile con carne, Santa Fe chicken, the breakfast, and the beef & potato. Every single one was delicious, seriously you cannot go wrong with any of them. BUT my favorite was for sure the Santa Fe chicken!! It had so much flavor and tasted really well-seasoned. You can tell everything is made with care. Their green chimichurri needs its own praise. I've tried a fair amount of chimichurris from different restaurants and grocery stores, but this one!!! This one is done perfectly. I can't describe the flavor to you, you just have to try it haha. It goes so well with any of the empanadas! Also, the empanadas came out HOT. Like actually steaming when I opened them, which made them that more enjoyable. Everything tasted really fresh. On top of that, the service was so sweet. The girls working there were really kind and welcoming, which just made the whole experience even better. Definitely coming back because I'm already craving that horchata and Nutella banana empanada again!! Thank you so much for having me :)
