No employees wear facial coverings and engage with customers without them. Careless about COVID measures and customers' health.

San Ysidro Postal Center - Operating hours

I've been with these guys for about 7 years. At the beginning I did not mind the hours, having to…read morerush over to make it in time...they are extremely punctual at closing (curiously not so much on opening), adn after 3 days they charge double; but since back then small envelopes were 25 cents. But now we have those same envelopes at $1.50, and there is nothing below that. Yearly cost has not increased much but the per package cost is way too much now, and the consistency of the price per package is based on the person that decides and how they feel that day, so a package that is the same size and weight can be one day $2.50, then the next is $3.50. Oh, and by the way, they will literally close the door in front of your face (twice now because I was waiting for the parking spot in front of the place to free up) because according to their clock it was 6pm on the dot. All the pleading in the world will not work, so if it's 6 and you are a block away...just skip it and prevent getting mad. I am sharing the box with a buddy and we are looking for other options that can improve on any of these points, cost per package, open hours (I live in Tijuana and crossing the border can ruin my trip to pickup packages), or the cost per year. Oh, and the phone is just for show, and them calling as others have said...they have never answered so track your packages. Also, if your package was delivered at USPS for pick up by them, give it at least a day, better two days after they deliver since they pick up only in the morning. I've drove there rushing to get in time with a confirmation that it was picked up by them that day, only to find out it's not there yet, so it's probably sitting in someones car not yet sent to the business; be warned. Good luck and if you find something better, let me know.

Five stars for kindness and the clerks' honest attempts to communicate with we Americans who…read moresomehow still speak English. They've stayed open a few minutes past close so I could collect several packages on more than one sunny afternoon. They've waived the 50 cents fee for having forgotten my box key one time. They've even tabbed a couple of my package fees for a later date. One star for cost of service and products. $45 for 3 months of a PO box just big enough for regular envelopes and the very smallest of packages. Fair enough and surely worth it at a place where the folks appear to care. Another plus is that they don't begin to charge extra fees on your packages unless you leave them there unclaimed for weeks. But I would try to limit how many packages you receive and do *all* of your shipping elsewhere... That JFK silver coin you bought on eBay that weighs a couple ounces? Yeah, that'll be $1 to pick up. That shirt you bought for your wife? That's $2.25. Anything over a pound? $3.75, pal. You need a manila envelope? $1.50 You want to mail that $11.35 flat rate USPS Priority box here? That will be $20. That $2 certified mail for your manila enveloped documents? That's gonna be $4.50... I guess this is what we have to look forward to with our local US Post Offices as the entire system goes bankrupt and gets privatized. Just don't expect the same level of courtesy.

worst service ever they make you go back-and-forth to grab your mail or with them or with USPS and…read morethey don't give you any answers when you speak to the owner. She says you misunderstood when they're the ones telling you the wrong information. I don't recommend this place at all. I'm very unprofessional. don't trust your documents. Don't trust your mail. Don't trust your packages with this place.
