Goodness, moving sucks. But, finding a dentist afterwards, to me, is worse…read more I'm so glad I found them when I did though. What I thought was sensitivity from grinding my teeth, turned out to be me grinding my teeth down to nothing and needing a root canal (which I didn't know during the basic 'new patient' exam). Actually, no one knew, since I didn't have any pain. It was about a week after, I woke up a Friday night with severe pain radiating through my mouth. Me being me, I didn't check to see if they were open weekends, (which Saturdays, they are). So, I suffered through until Monday morning and called the minute they opened. Woman I spoke to could tell I was in pain and asked if I could show in 1hr. I arrived, Dr. Kim poked around and determined I needed a root canal on one tooth. Unfortunately, here is why I took off one star. They have an endodontist at the location but, not all the time. So, the next available appt to get an assessment, (just assessment, not work done) was two weeks from then. So, I had to find another place to get my root canal done asap. But, the fact they fit me in so insanely fast was just pure awesomeness. Plus, I got the root canal done at another establishment but, the permanent filling and crown was done by Dr. Kim and Aisha. Both so patient, sweet, funny and gentle. Always telling me what they're doing and checking to see if I'm okay. Clean, welcoming establishment and great staff all around. They're all so nice to each other! So, unless you're looking for a last minute root canal, I highly recommend Gentle Dental Seekonk.

I wouldn't even consider this place a dental office, it's actually more like a Spa LOL (seriously…read moreguys, they have heated & massage exam chairs & headphones to watch a movie while getting your work done..like WHO DOES THAT!?). I actually recommended a few people who are now patients there. The amenities are endless. I always feel so welcomed and comfortable. I can't remember how to spell this patient care coordinators name, I think it started with "Cly..." he was the young African American man at the front desk, he was awesome! So down to earth & funny. And Brittney as well who was chairside. I honestly felt like I could have talked to her for hours! The dentist I had was kind as well and when I didn't realize I was having a certain procedure he worked with me so effortlessly regarding fees. I'm honestly just soooo happy because I'm 28 and still terrified of the dentist. And anyone who can relate can understand what it's like to finally go to an office that they don't have panic attacks driving to. PROS: -Hardly any waiting time to be seen -Covid-19 Protocols followed -Professional, down to earth Staff & Knowledgable dentists -Beautiful, clean office -Great environment CONS: -Pricing is slightly higher than most offices (but I always say "You get what you pay for". And you are DEFINITELY getting what you pay for here, it's 100% worth it. In fact, I don't have insurance and in the process of looking for a new plan. But I was perfectly fine paying out of pocket here instead of waiting for insurance). *Thanks for making my dental experience so much better. I feel so grateful my fear is FINALLY going away!* ~Shalaya T. :)

I have never had any issues with my appointments in this office…read more I saw the complaint from the gentleman regarding Dr. Mac. I never heard of a Dr. Mac at Eager Family Dentistry. It's possible that individual was there and has since left. That being said, I know that Dr. Eager's name is on the business. I am a Quality Assurance professional. If any patient is unhappy with how he or she has been treated at any medical office, ask to speak to the top person. Dr. Eager goes out of her way to ensure that my visits are pain-free. I'm sorry for this gentleman's experience. We're all human, even medical professionals. Bad apples exist everywhere. If you're in pain, ask to speak with Dr. Eager. From a QA perspective, Management needs to know if employees are not meeting patients' needs. There are at least three reasons for this: 1.) The patient needs further care. 2.) There may have been other complaints against the individual. Let the business know because the more reports, the more accurate the picture is of what is going on. 3.) The office cannot take action nor respond if it doesn't know a situation exists.

Apparently, there is either a training issue or it is just a case of the fish rotting from the head down. It is unacceptable to leave someone hanging like this. If not for the fact that Dr. David Mastrostefano practices at that location, I would have chosen a dentist closer to home. Take pride in what you do or find another line of work!

I don't write a lot of reviews, but in this case, I feel it's warranted…read more I recently moved to Providence. The time had come when I had to stop avoiding the unenviable task of finding a new dentist. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Barr and his staff. Ginny and Deb are two fantastic ladies up front, both with great senses of humor (the wry kind) and the maternal instincts I don't think I've seen in any doctor's office that I can remember. Christine was fabulous in her dental hygienist duties (also, great sense of humor), and Amanda was a warm and detail-oriented assistant when I went back for a couple of fillings the next day. Dr. Barr (who introduced himself as "Phil") got right down to business, and in his back pocket, he had a couple of great lawyer jokes for me. This all culminated with being very satisfied with the work product. Oh, and his kids have a pretty good band in Montreal: The Barr Brothers. Check them out.

Over the years I came to appreciate that reliability, and Dr. Barr was always a great professional. I should have written a five-star review a long time ago, not that the office would have needed it. The practice was sold recently to someone called Katherine Burton, who I've never seen. I have seen one of the other Dentists there, who is young and eager and seems knowledgeable. I do find the bedside manner not quite filling Dr. Barr's shoes, although I suppose that's something that comes with time. Other things have changed, too: the front desk staff, who I always liked, and I've had to trundle out to the other office in North Prov a few times because they couldn't reschedule me on South Main. None of which is a deal-killer, and I guess if I walked in the door today I wouldn't think much of it, but, I don't know, it's just the way my trust in the practice has been lowered just a bit that feels uncomfortable, somehow.
