Me and my wife started coming here for cleaning and yearly checkup I felt they were pressing retainers/ sleep guards a little to much also they worked on my wife tooth that didn't have any issue with but they said needed a root canal to a crown had to come out of pocket cracked the crown they replaced wanted to charge her for replacement then that same tooth got infected and going back and now waiting for results read more

I have been going to this office for a year, and my experience was mainly positive, until today. Cleanings have always been done carefully. I wish I could have had the same hygienist every time, but I guess this is something I should have requested. However, I feel that the experience I had today was an issue. We did an X-ray today, and the hygienist found a cavity between two teeth. I was told those two teeth needed fillings, and agreed to have those two fillings done. The dentist made time to do the fillings on the same day, which I appreciated. On the other hand, the dentist ended up doing three fillings, when I had only been informed about two. I was not informed about the third filling until after my tooth was drilled. I feel that consent is crucial when it comes to medical and dental procedures. I consented to have two teeth drilled, not three. I wasn't even told about the existence of a third cavity until after my tooth was drilled. I feel I received good care over the past year. I assume the fillings were well done. But I don't think it was okay to drill a tooth without informing me. read more

Misrepresentation re: insurance coverage, be warned. For context, I spent 10 years working as an administrator (scheduling, billing, payment, dealing with all major insurance companies) at a family dental practice. My previous experience and knowledge of how these situations are handled by a practice looking out for their patients first is why I feel it is SO IMPORTANT to warn potential patients. In the Covid world, it's been really difficult to find a dentist. I called about 7 asking the same questions, specifically whether my routine cleaning/exam would be covered under my insurance. I ended up at Dr. Brislin's office because the person at the desk said yes, my cleaning/exam would be covered by my insurance (Guardian). They never mentioned that they were out of network and before you say "oh you should have checked," I did, but often insurance listing(s) as to whether someone is in/out of network isn't correct on the insurance side - so I always double check with the practice because the billing specialist is usually the most "in the know" and they can easily call and find out to confirm. 4 other dentists in the area explicitly told me, in response to my insurance question, that they were an "out of network" provider without any prompting, so this is a pretty common new patient exchange. About 2 days prior the office called to double check my insurance info, confirmed it, and I then (again) confirmed the morning of my appointment that I was all clear on my insurance. I arrived at my appointment and had my cleaning (which didn't include polishing due to covid, so it was really half a cleaning), and the hygienist, prior to taking many X-rays went back to the desk to double check that my insurance would cover it. She said, while I was sitting there, that it would be covered and proceeded to take X-rays and digital scan of my mouth. I noted that I didn't want the scan etc if my insurance didn't fully cover it. I was reassured that this was routine and that it would be covered. At the end of the exam, which was fine (no complaints as to the services rendered) I went to leave and was asked to pay a co-pay. I noted that I've had the same insurance for 4 years and I don't have a co-pay on routine exams. It was at that moment I was told that the dentist was in fact out of network and I'd have to pay what wasn't covered. I explained the above, and they said "they'd look into it." Long story short my insurance, because they were out of network, paid half the (in my opinion slightly overpriced) bill, and the billing assistant has informed me that I need to pay $179 which was not covered. As someone who routinely had to write off billing mistakes for a small practice, I'm shocked that they refuse to admit their mistake after repeated misrepresentation. I understand that mistakes can be made, but I relied on and trusted their representations to make my choices and this is really just unacceptable. While the practice is fine, and the services were pretty standard (though higher priced than my previous dentists) I will never return to this practice due to this dishonesty. Be careful, and check your bills. In sum, I'd go somewhere else, you need a practice you can trust. read more

She doesn't push products on you, just makes you you consider the tools to make sure the teeth stay healthy and white - the office even sent me a card to wish me happiness on my upsizing wedding. read more

I had really awful dental anxiety my whole life. I was absolutely terrified of the dentist and had an extended period of time that I just didn't go to the dentist. It was for at least five years. Then someone recommended Doctor B to me. I was still terrified, but felt some relief before I even went in; their intake form asks if you have dental anxiety or past trauma in a dentist's setting. Doctor Brislin and team are gentle, kind, and incredibly supportive, and they work so well together to make your appointments quick and efficient. Thanks to their support, my fear of all things dental is gone and after their help getting Invisalign, I smile for photos for the first time since I was a kid. You guys. I am a new patient of Dr. Brislin and I am so happy to have found this practice. I have had horrible experiences with dentists in the past and I was desperate to find someone that I would be comfortable with. The location is easy to get to and the office is very clean and professional. The woman at the desk is so friendly and very helpful in working with you and explaining insurance issues. She is also great with reminders for your appointments (emails/texts/phone calls). Her Dental Assistant was really great too! She did a wonderful job in helping to calm my nerves (I mean I am really petrified of the dentist). Dr. Brislin was friendly, professional and very caring. She even called me the day after my root canal to see how I was doing. She did such a wonderful job.
