When I go to this restaurant, I enjoy the atmosphere. It reminds me of a Taqueria in the Bay Area. It's a no-frills Mexican restaurant nothing fancy just the basics. The margaritas are yummy and I like the smile their faces. When I come in they know me it's a small little place. Is it always consistent? No but they try to do their best . So stick with the basics and you won't be disappointed. I love their salsa. It's pretty delicious. The guac is good. So check it out..

Fajita. Steak, chicken, chorizo. Excellent.

Real Mexican food. Service and ambiance is pleasant. Margaritas excellent. Prices are very reasonable.

The desserts come in giant glass about 1.5 feet tall, the steaks massive, and the atmosphere a good festive place that makes you feel like you are on some nautical adventure. Steaks- must get. We got the rib eye and we got the standard size- 18 oz? It was HUGE. I had to flag the waitress down to makes sure they didn't give us the wrong order due to the size. We had to take it home between 2 people. Luckily we didn't call the 24 oz. That thing would have been about 1 foot across. If you're eating for 1 person, get the 14 oz. that is plenty. the 24 oz can probably feed a family of 4. Appetizers wise, I thought these weren't as impressive as the main courses. you may be ok with not ordering these unless you just want to kill time and have things to graze on. the main portions are already so big that I would save your appetite for that instead. We ordered sriracha apricot duck legs which were ok- just reminded me of some Panda Express Honey chicken dish. The artichokes were also not memorable. Crab cakes were good- definitely get this if you had to get an appetizer. Fresh oysters were fresh. If you're an oyster person, would also get this. Seafood- we ordered the Tuscan seafood pasta. This was actually an ok dish. The seafood was plenty but it was such a large dish with the pasta being a little too overcooked by the time you get 1/3 in that it was kind of a big overwhelming underflavored dish. If you can split it fast among like 3-4 people and eat it fast while hot this may taste better. For 1-2 people it's ok for flavor. We had to to go this dish because it was on a blander in with a LOT of protein Desserts- definitely need to order one of their GIANT sundaes. it's served in a glass wine glass the about 1 foot tall making it impressive in presentation and definitely setting the tone for celebration at your table. Service- attentive and good. Atmosphere- loud and celebratory. Think of nautical ship vibes and drinks galore and large seafood. Come here for sure in a ready mood to go big or go home vibe.

We usually start with the garlic bread, which comes warm and paired with marinara sauce--simple, but really well done. I've worked my way through a few of their pasta dishes, but the spicy rigatoni is easily my go-to. It has the right balance of heat and flavor without being overwhelming. The setting is a big plus as well--being right by the bay gives it a nice view and a laid-back feel that makes it great for both casual dinners and slightly nicer nights out. The only real downside I've noticed is that service can be slow at times. That said, it feels more like they're understaffed than an issue with the servers themselves, who have always been polite and attentive once they get to you. Overall, it's a place I keep coming back to for the food and the atmosphere.

This was our first time visiting Capitano's and out server was not good! We arrived about about 10 minutes early amd were seated immediately. She came over right away to ask about drinks. Our server seemed overwhelmed and pissed to be working tonight. We'll be back in the spring/summer. But we'll sit at the bar from now on. The restaurant is larger than we expected and the ambiance was very classy.

Right before my friend got there an older lady, a manager or maybe the owner told me I could only have my table for an hour. What? She showed me her reservation list. So?? It's not my fault that the restaurant was overbooked. I thought this was incredibly rude. My friend and I discussed going to another place and we were told that they would just make the other reservation wait until 6. My friend and I both worked in the food service industry for DECADES. I have never been told or told anyone they only had an hour to eat. We said we didn't want to feel rushed. I'm from out of town we were catching up. We were not planning on camping but an hour was simply not enough time. We are not rude so we ordered as fast as we could. We didn't ask for more time. We got garlic bread as an appetizer. They brought over some complimentary zucchini marinara or something. We both ordered chicken French and our food didn't arrive to our table until nearly 5pm. At some point the lady came to tell us that we didn't have to rush some other ladies were willing to get up. Thank you for letting us know, but it was incredibly tacky to tell us multiple times how long we could stay and what their plans were. And yet they still kept looking at our table making it very uncomfortable. We really only sat there for 15 minutes after our bill was paid. We were gone by 6. The original time we were told we could stay until. The garlic bread was okay. It was just their dinner rolls sliced in half and grilled/toasted. The Italian wedding soup was mostly vegetables (huge vegetable chunks). A few meatballs, some stringy chicken and a very few noodles. The broth was good. The chicken French was excellent for the most part. The spaghetti noodles were short. Almost as if they broken and impossible to twirl on fork to get a bite. It was messy, slurping noodles was so embarrassing. I ended up having to leave most of my noodles on the plate because I had to give up. It was a nearly $29.00 dish. I had specifically asked our server to put the garlic bread on my check since we were paying separately. She ended up splitting it between our checks. I wasn't happy with that. I wanted to pay for it myself. We tipped very generously each over 30% for apparently the huge inconvenience we caused. Giving this place a 4 is also generous. I'm not sure I would come back here again. For it being both of our first times coming here-the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. The ambiance is nice, the lighting is good but the whole debacle with being told how long we could stay and then "not realizing we had a reservation she thought we were walk ins. " The food presentation (huge obvious towel swipe on my dish-hope that was a clean towel and there wasn't any cross contamination), the soup may as well been called Italian vegetable soup and the short noodles making it impossible to enjoy a pricey dish... the dessert menu is also lacking. Maybe giving it a 4 is misleading.

Himalayan Kitchen in Webster did a really impressive job capturing that essence! The Butter Chicken sauce was absolutely outstanding--rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. My main dish was the chicken tikka masala that was outstanding. If I hadn't eaten so much nan and appetizers I would have devoured it, but it was also nice to have it again for lunch the next day. I can't wait to go back!
