Very disappointed in this dentist who took over practice from another well respected dentist in town. At first, Dr. Wu was extremely friendly and very personable. He offered my family and I state of the art dental equipment and other menial services like movies to watch while being treated and lip balm, etc. (smoke and mirror stuff). He appeared to provide decent dental work but very expensive. And, as time passed he became curt and did not spend as much time with us (we tried to avoid going to the dentist at this point). The last two appointments broke the camel's back. I had to go in for an emergency appointment because I bit into food with a small pebble in a lettuce wrap and damaged one of my small molars. I got in with an appt to see Dr. Wu. But this appt was very distressing. I got there at my appt on time but was not seen for almost 45 minutes after the appt time. When I did finally get in, Dr. Wu was very rushed; he was going back and forth with another patient. He was so tied up with the other patient that when he came to work on me, the anethestics wore off so he had to give me another shot. The procedure was not any better. He was rough and the crown, which he made in the back, did not fit the first time so had to remake it. I was so distressed!!! When he was done, he left briskly and did not discuss the completed treatment with me. It took three days for the area in my mouth to heal where there were some small lacerations and to stop hurting from the unnecessary roughness Dr. Wu used on this treatment. The edges of the custon crown he made are very sharp and I bite my cheek and tougue in that area. Unfortunately, I had to come back for subsequent appt for him to finish work from same incident. His receptionist calls me three hours before my appt and informs me that Dr. Wu would like for me to come in a half hour earlier than my scheduled appt. because Dr. Wu has to pick up his son. I told reeceptionist that I will try since I need to have the work completed even though I had a client meeting before then. I rescheduled my client meeting (my client was not happy) and arrived half hour earlier than my appt. as requested by Dr. Wu. To my dismay, I sat in the waiting room past my original appt time and still had not been called in. I then decided at that moment that enough is enough! I am looking for a new dentist who accept Metlife, but want to warn other consumers about this dentist. I was warned by other patients who left him and now experienced the same. I looked him up on ZocDoc and he has 5-star rating! Certainly not reflective of my experience nor others I know of. Someone has to speak up. Dr. Wu needs to know the distress and pain he is causing. read more
