Thank you Dr Ewing and staff for squeezing me in. Also, for working with a person whom has extreme anxiety when it comes to dentist.

To Dr. Ryan and Team:…read more I cannot express my gratitude enough to each of you individually, so I'll try here. At the end of 2025 when I was having a dental emergency, Abbey did everything in her power to get me in right away (I called very late in the afternoon and was seen first thing the next morning) and even though I had to go to a endodontist and eventually come back to your office the same day, you made sure I was seen before your office closed for the holidays. Not only did you ensure I was seen, but Dr. Ryan performed a tooth extraction on the same day. Did I have to wait a bit? Yes. But that is absolutely normal and okay! His office had a full day of patients and the fact that Dr. Ryan somehow made time to see me twice in a day AND perform the tooth extraction is simply going above and beyond. I started the process last week for an implant. I was in extreme pain over the weekend and chose to wait to reach out to Dr. Ryan's office until Monday morning and not bother him over the weekend (although they do have a number for emergencies for after-hours - I simply chose not to bother him) and by Monday afternoon, I was in his office getting X-rays. Turns out I have an infection - Dr. Ryan ensured that I was prescribed the appropriate medications right away and I was able to pick them up within the hour of him sending the prescriptions to my pharmacy. Admittedly, I'm really shocked by some of these negative reviews. Abbey, who is at the front desk, is one of the most compassionate, kind-hearted human beings I've ever met. She has always treated me with kindness and respect. If I don't understand a billing matter, she sits down with me to explain it. Dr. Ryan is nothing short of an absolute gem. He genuinely cares about his patients. Dr. Ryan's staff are incredible. Each one of them is amazing. Every time a friend asks for a dental referral, it's always Dr. Ryan I send them to because you simply won't find a better dentist and staff anywhere in San Diego. Thank you again, Dr. Ryan, Abbey, and Team for everything you do for me and all your patients. You're so appreciated!

I can't thank Dr. Hage and Dr. Dina enough for my smile makeover …read more I was interested in having my teeth look whiter and more symmetrical. They started with Dr. Hage taking my wisdom teeth out , and then Dr. Dina did some quick composite (white colored) fillings to close some gaps for me. They had informed me about ortho being the best the long term plan but gave me alternatives since I needed something with faster results for my bests friends wedding . I would also like to add that their hygienists Mona and Hanza are the coolest, they do a great job and it's all pain free! Thank you for your care.

DO NOT GO HERE. Save yourself the trauma and money…read more I saw Dr. Hage for a implant of one of my lower front teeth. I was told I needed partial braces to create space, which I had for months before the implant process started (which was fine) . Honestly the gal who did my braces was wonderful, I feel sorry for her to be associated with this practice. Immediately after the first step of placing the post for the implant, the XRAY noticeably showed it touching the root of my healthy adjacent tooth. I didn't say anything in the moment because what do I know. Once I got to my car I was extremely alarmed to see that same tooth had also shifted dramatically (almost turned inward). I called and was reassured it was "normal". I began experiencing severe pain, not at the implant site, but in the healthy tooth. Despite multiple follow-up visits and ongoing complaints of pain and instability, my concerns were repeatedly dismissed by Dr. Hage and I was told nothing was wrong and it just needed to "heal". The tone in these visits came off as an annoyance to him and like he's the professional and I don't know what I'm talking about. Months later I went through a second procedure to attempt to reposition the post, which ultimately failed and required removal of the post and a then bone graft to fill the hole in my jaw. After two years of all this, I still had no implant, and my main concern now became the constant pain and instability of the obviously damaged tooth. I couldn't bite into solid foods without feeling like it would fall out. I sought second opinions from two specialists, first one also identified an infection in the root of the damaged tooth (which she ended up treating with antibiotics). Both specialists confirmed the tooth is unlikely to recover and will need reconstructive work in the future. DO YOUR RESEARCH! There are great implant specialists San Diego, he is not one of them in my opinion.

Jillian made me feel very welcomed and made sure I was comfortable during the whole experience. Jillian also provided me with very helpful tips so I may continue to improve with my dental hygiene. 110% had a great experience! Nicole at the front desk was very professional and friendly. She welcomed me with a warm smile and was very thorough to get me checked in and out. She even asked how my weekend was! I appreciated that. Thank you!

I went in on Tuesday Feb 3rd, for my routine cleaning and yearly x-rays. I waited in the waiting…read moreroom for 10 mins and in the dental office chair for another 10 mins. The office felt overbooked and normally, it's not a big deal to wait a bit. However, when my cleaning actually began, the dentist performed it in a very rushed manner. He was barely cleaning for 15 mins. He splashed water all over my neck and face and did not seem to notice/care because he was going so fast. My normal experience with cleanings here comes with a lot more care for the patient comfort. He said " teeth look good" and "use a waterpik" and left. The dental assistant came in a few minutes later and did a very rush polish and floss job. The entire cleaning time was under 30 minutes which I have not experienced before. I felt that they wasted my time waiting while also wanting me out as fast as possible. I don't feel like I got a proper cleaning at all. I have been coming to this dentist for 3+ years and normally have a good experience. This was by far the worst experience I have had here. Last year I paid $2190 (after insurance) for deep cleaning because my hygienist, Mariam, insisted this was necessary to save my gum health. I regret paying, I don't think it did anything since the dentist said it all looked good to him (assuming he actually looked closely)...I plan to switch dentists ASAP and will not be coming back. The staff is kind and helpful, but this dental group is owned by Pacific Dental Services (now PDS Health) which is a major health group that DEFINITELY cares about profits more than the health and comfort of patients. I am going to find a local family dentist and you should too.
