Embassy Suites by Hilton Tucson East - Breakfast Area

Embassy Suites by Hilton Tucson East

Came here for 5 nights with my wife. We both agreed that the property is so beautiful to look at…read more We never been to a Embassy Suites witu a outside setup. So we were immediately happy. Check in was smooth and our requests for extra bedding and towels were met. In our room, at first sight, we loved it. However, there were issues. Our bedroom door never stayed open and we reported it on the 25th hoping it would be fixed on the 26th, but no one came. Our remote control did not fully work for the bedroom either and that was reported at that same time as the other issue and it was not ever fixed. Our balcony door did not lock as we found out. That's why they had a makeshift stick placed to hold the door close. Our bed was comforting and the shower water pressure was nice. On our 3rd day there, they ran out of body wash to fill the containers with, so they provided is with mini bottles of body wash. My nephew had to use the bathroom after spending time in the pool. Unfortunately, the bathroom located in the pool area was locked. We had to go to the restaurant area each time he needed to go. That was an issue. They also ran out of pool towels and we had to use bathroom towels when my niece and nephew came out of the pool. The restaurant had a really great breakfast. We enjoyed it daily. However, on the 24th, there was a cook at the omelet station that had a very nasty demeanor and he just gave a very, very terrible experience. I am glad that they decided to not have him back that week while we were still there. He would have messed up our Christmas vacation first thing each and every morning. We enjoyed our Happy Hour because of the amazing bartenders that we were able to speak with. Their conversation was so nice. They really made that time pleasant. All front office staff, day and night, were friendly and attentive.. minus that 25th person that we reported issues to and she promised that someone would look into it and no one ever came. She did tell us that only 1 person was on stag for Christmas to handle the issues.. but we really thought someone would come the 26th. I was a little dismayed that we had to ask for our room to be fully cleaned on the 3rd day even though the hotel specifically says it will be done. Checkout was smoothand we appreciated the late check out request being honored.

Meh! There is a lot Hilton could do to class up this place…read more It's in the details. The good: Very quiet five stars Hot water, five stars Big rooms five stars Separate room for going to the bathroom so the other guests don't have to see or smell ....five stars So what didn't I like? Air conditioning was just ample My room used to be a smoking room obviously. Yuk Humidity in the bathroom uncontrollable. No fan. Unless you open the door and humidify the next room where the fan is. Fans should be by the shower. Period. I think the fixtures and the set up in the bathroom are a little outdated and not up to the typical class of a Hilton property It's a typical shower curtain that wants to cling your skin The shower curtain won't meet at the walls because the bar is sagging and hasn't been adjusted/fixed it in years I dislike soap in pump containers. It makes me feel like I'm in a cheap motel. I used the bar the soap from the sink . There's nowhere to put it in the shower enclosure . The little mesh shelf they give you when you put the soap in there. Has spots in it, and fell in the tub automatically., you have to lean down and get it, repeatedly. Classy hotels these days have showers not tubs , soap bars not pump goo. And a designated place for the soap bar Ditch the soap and pump! containers use soap, bar bars Class it up guys ! The food in the restaurant was dismal. It wasn't even Holiday inn Quality. It was half that at best. I'd only eat here if you were car less. And can't walk. I got my beer and a solo cup. I knew I was in trouble. My hors d'oeuvre was atrocious my comfort food was atrocious. The only good thing about the whole eating experience was the beer itself. The blonde beer was fantastic. If you're a family on a budget vacation, I would go here in a second because of the large enclosed property and the Arboretum Safe place for kids with a large pool and Jacuzzi . If youre parents , you could have a drink and watch the kids in the pool There's so much potential here It just hasn't been grasped Or the owners haven't found the funds to update the property yet . I certainly wouldn't take my wife here based on the bathroom experience and a food experience It just totally lacks any sort of class whatsoever It's a very good budget hotel. 5 stars fur budget. 2-3 at best for business travel
