Michael was the photographer for my engagement and wedding photos in 2017 through our venue Saguaro Buttes. We were so fortunate to work with him! He was easy to communicate with through email and when we met to do the engagement photos, I could immediately trust him to find good backgrounds, lighting, poses, etc. That let me focus on hubby. We got the pictures quickly through a Dropbox link, which was convenient since I don't live in Tucson. For our wedding, he knew the venue already so I gave a few instructions and then trusted him to make the rest look great. He was easy going and quick and dependable. It was great. Even better? He had the photos online and on a CD that he hand delivered to our hotel hours before we left Tucson, the next day. Wow!! And as part of our package with the venue, we got a free photo album once I told him my favorites. I dropped the ball on that and emailed him a year later to ask if I could still get that done. He was gracious and just a few weeks later we had our album delivered. Honestly, Michael was the best vendor that I worked with for our wedding and the pictures are stunning. Michael recently took photos for my wedding and he did a wonderful job. He moved around and got a lot of photos of various different settings as we all got ready, he directed the family photos with ease and he captured amazing candid moments throughout the night. Buyer beware. Michael Chansley may be a very good photographer but he actually is a store front for local photographers (he works out of Tucson). For our wedding (payment in advance of $600) he sent one of his minions who while a very nice person took the absolutely worst photographs - thankfully we have photos taken by several of the wedding guests. By everyone's opinion, the amateurs were far better. For reasons only Michael knows, the photographer used a setting that whitewashed the mountain and blue sky background, and all the faces looked like they had a flashlight shining on them. Not only did Michael refuse to refund any portion of his fee, one of our guests purchased a gift certificate for us to use him for an extra hour, and he deducted a large portion of that fee for a gift hour that was never used. There are many great local photographers in Scottsdale and Phoenix. Avoid using anyone particuarly this one who is based in Tucson and does not have any control over this quality when it is done away from him. HIs tone and attitude is it's everyone's fault but his own. Stay away. read more

My husband and I had a teensy eensy wedding at DeGrazia Gallery chapel and didn't want to spend a million bucks for an hour of pictures.
