Amazing quality of work! Ordered 7 drawers & drawer fronts, 6 cabinet doors, and 8 tall bifold door sections. Every piece was made extremely well. No joint gaps. Dovetail joints perfectly smooth. All dimensions to my exact instructions. No warping, no scratches, nicely sanded finish. Brian, my rep helped with my order making sure I got every detail correct. After I submitted my order the order checker called and suggested a change that made the drawers fit better onto standard length drawer slides. Saved me a big headache. I couldn't be happier. 40+ year Cabinet maker here, I left Decore and Drees for good when their quality took a dive and pricing drastically increased, made the change to CM almost 2 years ago and I'm quite pleased with their end product overall, I like how they knock off the sharp edges after it goes through the drum sander, where the big name competitors stopped doing that a long time ago, it's added labor for them and more labor for us, and were paying more on top of it.. I have had some splits and defects on occasion from CM, but that's to be expected with any door manufacturer, they cant catch everything... There is room for improvement with CM, they almost never process my order the same day, If you submit your order in the early morning, expect at least 2 days before they process it, ridiculous, that's 2 business days LOST. read more

I have been purchasing doors and drawers from Corona Millworks for a few years now. I have had nothing but the best quality doors and drawers delivered to my shop with everything very well packaged. I worked with a different company for 16 years previously and had nothing but problems. My products came on pallets that were always messed up. I got broken drawers all the time. My orders always took at least 2 to 3 weeks to be delivered. If a drawer was broken it took 2 to 3 weeks to get that one. This is a local company that takes care of their clients. I'm a cabinet maker and have been using CM for probably 15 years with little or no issues. If something is wrong they have corrected it in the past and expedited the delivery. This time was different. I ordered 2 drawer fronts that were quite large. They got the grain in the wrong direction. I didn't even undo the packaging because I saw the grain was wrong. I called and reordered. It took them another 2 weeks to get my order to me. This time the size was wrong. I gave them the size I wanted and they based my doors on opening size without mentioning that to me. To boot, in order to fix the mistake they wanted to charge me an additional 50% to get it right. Almost a month after I originally ordered and their attitude was awful. I've given them so much business in the past and they would prefer to treat me this way! read more

Run away from Corona Mill works. Although they seem to make decent kitchen cabinets the quality of work is really poor. I placed my first order with some help on San Diego local rep ****. Before i paid for the order i was getting phone call reminders for over a week "if i have any questions?how can i help" - that kind of BS. I received my order in less than 2 weeks. As i was going through the delivered parts i noticed i got someone else's order. Later i noticed that they have not send me pair of doors for one of the upper cabinets so i waited about two weeks and nothing. They delivered me missing doors over a month later and i found that the door has defective trimming; i asked for replacement but never got that. I ended up modifying the cabinet and the door to make it wright. On the top of that i was missing some of the hardware.The oven cabinet was not made as discussed; when i asked to get it fixed i was told to get it fixed by myself. is this what i am paying for? really? extremely rude and unprofessional; all they care about is to get the money for the order and when issues arise do not expect any help. Im a 40 custom cabinet shop owner. I have bought doors from Cal door ( (great company) Corona mill works quoted a lower price on a Kitchen , I went with Corona. Three months installed, doors stared seperating at the joints, One door compleatly came apart and fell off the cabinet. The whole job is junk. Company Rep, said they used the wrong glue ( sorry ) . Reading some of these other reviews are actually kind of comical. First off, not a contractor? Go find somewhere else--they flat out will not sell to you. Your contractor ditched you part way through the project? Call CSLB and file a complaint--the contractor had a contract with Corona, you didn't have a contract with Corona--not fair to write a bad review when they DON'T sell to homeowners. Have doors that are splitting at the joints because you painted them? That's industry standard, buddy. We've dealt with the heavy hitters in the door industry, and Corona is who continues to get our business. Their wood doors are great quality, and you can pick and choose your outside, inside and panel details. Their thermofoil and acrylic doors hit the mark every time too. Need cabinets made? Their components department is super easy to order from--now, fair warning--if a cabinet comes wrong, you messed it up. There are a TON of variables (plant on, toe kicks, heights, depths, widths, you name it), so it's easy to miss something. Every now and again line holes will be messed up, dowels might be short shipped, but we always get the issue remedied quickly. Shipping times are quick, and customer service is top notch, Brandon is our rep, and he is always available when we need him. Corona Millworks is a no BS company, which is the type of company I like to do business with. 99% of the 1 star reviews below are a joke--if you're a real contractor who's worth your salt, these issues can be avoided. read more

I have been buying Corona Millworks doors and drawers since they began manufacturing in the mid 90's and they have continued to be our number 1 resource, as their quality is the best in the business and their pricing is competitive. Jose Corona stays ahead of the newest technology in woodworking machinery and it shows in their beautifully delivered products. In the 27 years of ordering from them, I can only remember once having an issue, which was easily resolved. For the 1 star reviews that iv'e read here, it sounds mostly like third party clients who have had a bad experiences with their contractors. If you want quality doors and drawers and a great experience, I'd recommend vetting your contractor first and then you'll be able to enjoy the quality of your finished product. read more

Wow! what a customer service experience!!!, i have a small woodworking business, I ordered doors was told the day they would be ready, 15th today, drove down to pick up doors in the usual way went into the will call was greeted with do you have an appointment today, because i don't have any for today, or the rest of the day, until I walked in, she had her keys and purse and was headed out the door, she wrote up order had me sign , asked for payment, I gave her my wife's card, she say's we don't take third party payment, which this was clearly not, I took my card back, said, your rude, and left, and they can eat the custom order for over $600 and I will buy some where else! Communication is everything and this company is the worst at it. From the moment I sent the order sheets to my sales rep Darren to get an estimate I knew there were going to be issues. I received a estimate that was later tripled when the order ready for delivery. Incorrect parts were sent. You would think if you order 18" drawers they would send 18" guides??? Nope they sent 15" then they tried to charge me more for their error? They did not have enough 18" guides in stock so it took more time to get the full order. This review is to adress and counter Mark H's review. Corona Millworks is a contractor only direct cabinet part manufacturer. They do not finish (Paint) products. They do not install file folder racks. They supply the doors and drawer fronts to exact specifications. It is 100% up to your contractor to assemble/install etc. Your shady contractor is trying to pass the buck. I have been dealing with them for over 7 years and never had one major problem, other than sanding marks, which they replaced the doors. The only star off is that I feel some of their sales office could have a little more application knowledgeable, they tell you to contact your rep, which seems to be a constantly rotating job. read more

I contracted with a cabinet contractor who ordered cabinets from Corona. The cabinets when delivered unpainted were OK except they were missing a few things: (file) drawers that will not hold file folders, drawings called for trash container area which wasn't there. We have now been waiting for more than 5 months for a wood panel to cover the front of our dishwasher, a panel to go above the refrigerator, and a new door to replace a drawer front and door so we can install a trash container. We have been told that the items were built, painted and delivered to the contractor but we have yet to see them. Today I called Corona Millworks to see if I could find out about the order and they said they couldn't talk to me. When you can't find the contractor and the supplier will not talk to you what do you do? This is terrible service on both the Millworks and the contractor as I am left holding the bag. I have hire Corona Mills works to do my doors. The doors crack at the joint after they were painted. I called their vendor Brian who is in the SD area ant told them about the problem. I took him two weeks to come and look at the doors ( the doors were already install and painted). He said that he will get back to me after once he will go to the factory. week later I was told that the doors will suffer that because weather conditions. After that I start talking to customer service since Brian will not be able to answer/solve mi problem. customer service refer me to production mgr and he send me a web document about wood stress. then I went to management and he said that they will look at a door and they will get back to me. month later they ask me to remove doors that were painted and install and send them to them to repair. two weeks later get same doors sanded with no paint. I Ask Brian what was the problem and I was told that and old machine was used to assemble/or cut and It was replace and that was the problem. When I get the doors back I inspect them and found out that they were still opening from the joint. I call back Brian and he suggested to customer service. I took a week to to get and answer back with no solution. I have to get back to plant mgr and explain about the problem. After that I have to tho back to inspect each one of the doors, mark each door with a number take a picture and send pictures to them to see if they will listen to me. Finnally they decided that they will replace them. I pst 75 days to get doors back. I have to re paint the doors, drills the doors for hinges, install doors and drawers. It cost me more that couple thousands that I paid to get my doors back install. read more
