Sean confirming keeper status.

Took 5 adults and 4 kids aged 3 to 14 on the Jill Louise with Cpt Dave and Sean, and everyone had a BLAST. I think it's important to mention that most of the adults had been on prior fishing charters and head boats-so we have some frame of reference. I simply don't understand the negative reviews here and have therefore chosen not to address them. Obviously there were different experience levels on our trip and Cpt Dave and Sean tailored their approaches accordingly. When the fish started biting we had the little ones be the first ones to reel 'em in. Dave and Sean were right there with the kiddos explaining what to do and helping reel. It was great. Everyone had fun, we caught enough to feed the whole group that night (and more), and we all agreed we'd book with them again. Cheers on a great day!

Amazing experience. We did the 4 hour inshore trip aboard the #c-Salt !!! Captain Mike and Mate Patrick were amazing and made the 6 of us (5 adults and a 4 year old) feel so comfortable on our first fishing trip. These previous comments could not be more wrong. Fishing is still fishing and nothing is ever guaranteed... but they worked so hard to get us on fish, and it paid off!! We caught 9 Spanish Mackerel in a 3 hour span... and it was amazing!!! If you are looking for a charter... honestly look no further. Can't wait to return!!!

Welcome to Duck Town Park and Boardwalk in lovely Duck, NC. It's a real family and entertainment destination with an amphitheater, picnic shelter, and playground. Without question, the boardwalk and piers are the centerpiece of the property, measuring over 4,000 feet long and ten feet wide. You can take some beautiful photos of the boardwalk hovering over the water or silhouetted against the sky. The scenery along the boardwalk is gorgeous with pretty views of the Sound, sand dunes, fallen trees, and seagrass. We saw plenty of people taking advantage of the beautiful weather and simply strolling along the boardwalk or ducking into stores, bars, and restaurants, or relaxing on one of the twenty-one benches. I even saw a large bird (maybe a hawk or eagle or condor?) sweeping along the tree line and walking in the woods. anyone know what this is? https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/duck-town-park-and-boardwalk-kitty-hawk?select=JptpdCQdvEtdn_g0CL2tpw&userid=cVrM2BvOvPV0Vi_rC8kepQ We had such a nice relaxing time just wandering around the boardwalk and ducking into the occasional store or shop.

I could have drove 45 minutes and been in Williamsburg! But I was still in Va Beach. From the General Booth Blvd/ VB proper it's roughly 30 minutes. Honestly those 30 minutes seemed an eternity. It's deep in Pungo closer to the NC border. A beautiful park tucked away, but when you enter the park it spreads out into a nicely manicured area that opens to water access to the North Landing River. There is plenty of shaded space and open space and benches through out. Sheltered picnic areas, concrete corn hole boards, volleyball courses, baseball fields, basketball courts and an 18 hole disc golf course. Plenty of clean bathrooms. Although, some of them were closed for winterization. The bathrooms attached to the rental office close to the boat ramp were open and clean and stocked with soap and toilet paper. It's a huge area on 100 acres so plenty of walking to be done. It's so nice and quiet and peaceful that I almost don't want to share this review. But it will probably stay that way unless you live in the Pungo area or close to it, with it being so far!! It is a one way only loop that circles the inner area of the park. They even have a nice large playground area for kids. In the middle is a little garden. Swimming isn't allowed, the water access is one of the legs of the intracoastal waterway. I remember coming here once, back in 2009 for an Easter picnic in which I was invited. With so many years having passed, it's nice to know it's remained beautiful, but obviously with a lot of additions to it. I remembered it being super lovely out here, but just extremely far. Which is why I think it's taken me so long to return. Honestly, it's so quiet and tranquil that you can be alone with your thoughts and just enjoy nature. I like that it's away from the hubbub and chaos. I just wish I didn't live so far from it.

Buz was firm with his expectations of the boys (10, 11 & 12) with regard to the safety, gave us a short brief on his boat (fire extinguishers, life jackets, the head, etc.) and we shoved off. I sat up front with Buz on the way out and he was more than happy to answer all my questions, show me the various navigation gauges, and share his knowledge as an ol salty captain. We pulled up to a couple of spots and dropped lines immediately, Max was very good with prepping the rigs and bait. We were on the fish quickly and when the action died down we pulled our lines and moved to the next spot. Very little if any downtime once we started fishing. Max and Buz did a great job of hooking fish when the action started to die down and when the had one on the line they handed the rod off to one of our boys to reel in. Buz clean our catch on our way back and once at the dock we settled up our tab and tipped $120 for the captain and deck hand to split up. Great time, Buz and Max were great with the boys, highly recommend this charter and if we're down again we'll go back out with Captain Buz on the Jawfly!!

The main booth area where you pay is also a little bait shop, which was nice because we did bring fishing poles on board. The staff was young and friendly, keeping with the vibe of similar watersports rental places in the area. There's a pretty long dock from the check in hut to the pontoon boats. I wish we knew of this in advance because it wasn't the best for the disabled seniors we brought with us. One of our party members is blind in one eye and has depth perception problems. The lack of consistent railings made it so we had to flank her on either side so she didn't accidentally walk off the dock. All of our seniors would have wished for a few more places to rest. I know the dock is only approximately .2 miles long, which is no problem for the average person in good health. We rented the pontoon with our senior family members in mind, as they weren't able to participate in the other water activiities we did. Boarding on and off the boat was also not senior friendly. My great aunt struggled to get in and out of the boat. An attendant tried to help her, but was not well versed in how to assist seniors with standing. She ended up getting moderately hurt and bruised from the experience. While we were riding, the boat cut power a few times. That was a bit scary, but fortunately, there's staff on jet skis out there ready to help. We were back in business within minutes of each issue. Overall, the experience was very fun. The boat is well maintained. It was a bit of a squeeze for our party of 15, but if you have 8 or less, it would be extremely spacious accomodations. There was plenty of room for our coolers and fishing gear. We had plenty of time to cruise in the boat, to anchor it (they provided a HUGE anchor, all things considered), jump off the boat into the warm sound for a swim, fish, get some sun (or shade, as the boat is well covered), & have a lunch. With the time we had, we did everything we were looking to do. We didn't catch any fish, but that wasn't our main goal. Our main goal was to get our family out on the boat and have some fun. We were able to do that. Overall, we had a great time. I would give it 5 stars if I returned and they found ways to make the experience more accessible for disabled people and seniors.
