As a kid who lived in Elmont I use to pass Cornetta's shop all the time. Some 50 years later, now living in Merrick, I called them to help me resolve a Town of Hempstead (TOH) open permit. Speaking with one of the office staff, she positively assured me that Joe Cornetta would contact me to visit my home and access the plumbing issues. Upon arrival in two days, Joe inspected the work to be done and explained that another permit would need to be filed with the TOH and he would get back to me with an estimate. Within days, Joe provided a clear and precise estimate of the work to be completed with the additional TOH costs for the permit and inspection and that Joe would personally be present for the TOH inspection. after signing the agreement, we scheduled a date for the job to be completed. Steven, the crew chief along with two other technicians began the work promptly at 8am as scheduled, covering floors and appliances that were close to the actual area. Within minutes, the crew began to renovate the plumbing issues to TOH code. Observing the team, they reminded me of as NASCAR pit crew, very fast, precise and obviously seasoned experts. By midday, the crew was finished and spotlessly cleaned the area. Joe had assured me that the work was compliant to current TOH code. Sometime later ( Architectural drawing and TOH delays) an inspection was scheduled with Joe leading the inspector through the work completed. The work was approved and a Certificate of Completion was issued, Throughout the entire process, Joe, the office and the crew certainly were certainly a breath of fresh air. I have used Cornetta Bros for over 22+ yrs. We used them for every plumbing job in our home. From the boiler to faucet replacement. We were always treated fairly. We also recommended them to everyone I knew that needed a plumber. We recently called for service & were surprised to find that that a bigger plumping conglomerate acquired them. Work they've done for elderly relatives over the years: -Helped install a new kitchen -Installed new gas shut offs for new stoves -Troubleshooted the 80+ yr old furnace in my mother's house when the pilot light died during hurricane Sandy -Fixed every leak in my mother's ancient house -Fixed a gas leak that was left untreated by another diagnostician! -And I'm sure many other issues yet to come! CB answered the telephone first call. The plumber was available within a few hours and arrived on time as planned. He was able to work free a very tricky tub clog (kids toy piece and hair). The work was not as expected but he was relentless until the water drained, at the cost of a few drain snakes. He was very pleasant and courteous. My hat off to him and CB service. read more

It started as soon as my call was answered. The young lady I spoke to was pleasant and helpful. She told me that as soon as the guys would return from their morning jobs someone would call me. Within 2.0 minutes I got a call and was told they would be at my house in 20 minutes! Three gentlemen arrived, one nicer than the other. They completed the job quickly and efficiently. I was thrilled to hear one gentleman ask a question about why he was being told to do something a particular way (he was in training) and his mentor said " it's been done like this for years becauae it's the right way to do it and that's how we do it-right. I don't usually give a five star review,period,but this company has answered our calls,with speed and a professional manner...be it a clogged kitchen sink,or pin hole leaks,or as happened today a clogged bathroom sink. Dan serviced us,it was a difficult job,but he cleared the clog...I highly recommend them, much more then I did my previous plumber,who I used for over thirty years,but who got too self important,to answer a call,in a timely manner. read more

Cornetta Bros did an excellent job on the oil to gas conversion in my home at Lake Success. I have shopped around and they are the only one that offered a complete package from sign-up with National Grid, purchase of equipment, installation, chimney lining work, and abandonment of oil tank. They handle all the hard work in coordinating all the various services that are required for the complicated conversion process at a great price. The conversion was completed like clockwork as Joe provided the scheduling. I only have to deal with Joe and National Grid throughout the entire process. He was also honest with the pricing of the split zoning of my heating system based on the work that is actually required and gave me a deep discount from the original quote. Joe and his staff are courteous and offer me good advices based on years of experience as master class plumbers. I am a repeat customer as Joe is also handling the plumbing work for my home renovation. Take my words and go with Joe. You will thank me later. read more

Called them because they are local. Big mistake apparently they outsource their Drain cleaning to another firm then tack on an exorbitant fee. I had a drain clogged and called them for service. 3 hours later a truck from citywide shows up and I let the guy in he does the job has me sign an invoice and leaves. I get a bill in the mail for $600. I call up to complain and they tell me that's the price. I call Citywide and I ask them how much it is to clear a sink drain and they tell me $175. So they're trying to tack on a $425 finders fee. Nope take me to court. read more

Cornetta brothers is the worst plumbing service around!!! They schedule appointments with you and never show up. When you call them to find out why they did not show up. They either tell you someone lost the ticket or they got too busy. I told them even if they got to busy they should of called me to reschedule or work later. I told the lady on the phone I could not use my sink or shower and she did not even seem to care. They are also extremely rude on the phone. read more

They came for a simple toilet repair,after that they had to come back 4 times to make as many adjustments, they are not what they used to be, their prices now are double what I thought the fee was going to be . I'm never using them again!!!!!!! read more

Cornetta Brothers just did an oil to gas conversion on my new house in Woodmere, NY. This required a new gas line run to the house from the street (and coordinating everything with the Gas company). They replaced the boiler and all piping to the radiators, as well as new runs to the stove, washer/dryer, pool heater, and BBQ. These guys are the real deal. They are consummate professionals. They work fast, are communicative, organized, and punctual. Their pricing is fair. They are family owned and take pride in their work and doing things right. They know the ins and outs of working with local building departments/inspectors, and got the job approved quickly. This conversion required abandoning an oil tank as well, and this was coordinated with the Nassau County Dept of Health. Highly recommended. read more
