Contact me no further Update to business owner. Jay came to my house on 10/7. I have a receipt with your business name on it for the $175 I paid in cash, as he required. Have a lovely day. I was very surprised at the very lax/vague statement of work, the proposed price tag of $25,000 and the fact that when I wouldn't sign at 9:00 PM, the quote paperwork was taken away. I ended up with a master plumber who determined the cause and repaired the pipes for a fraction of the proposed amount.

Replaced the valve and added 3 more redundant valves. The work took less than 2 hours. Plumber used crimp bands and pex instead of pro-press,soldering and copper . To me it was pricey but ever since 2020 I guess prices went up. Honestly expected to pay around 1000, but it is what it is . The weird thing is that he requested cash or Zelle only for payment . No option for credit cards or checks which was odd since every GC I hired took credit cards. While he was getting parts , I had to go to the bank and get cash withdrawals . Took a star off for the inconvenience.

Anthony and Downtown Plumbing are all you could want in a plumber. I called because of a blocked…read morekitchen sink. Got a call back very quickly saying they were on their way and would arrive in about an hour. Anthony arrived with another gentleman, Dom, on time and they patiently listened while I explained what was going on and what I tried. Anthony told me they'd first try to snake the drain and if that didn't work, there was another procedure with a water jet. I appreciated him being upfront about the fact that the first thing they would try may not work in order to set expectations. Decided to go with the snaking and Anthony let me know the price and proceeded to do the work. They were very thorough, spending about an hour working on it and testing it. By the end of the snaking, everything was working without an issue! Throughout the work, Anthony and Dom were extremely pleasant. They took extra care to ask if it was okay to move things onto the counter or if I wanted any extra protection on the floor. The great work, attention to detail, and general pleasantness mean I'll be calling Downtown Plumbing anytime I need a plumber.

After dealing with two other plumbers who don't return calls, show up late or not at all, etc. it was so refreshing to work with someone reliable. He provided a fair quote to switch out a bathroom vanity sink with a new one I'd purchased after looking at pictures of my existing plumbing and the new pedestal I needed installed. Note that his quotes are set for a job including materials, not the usual time + materials situation you see with most contractors. Again, he knows what he's doing and the transparency is a breath of fresh air. The morning of our appointment he showed up 20 minutes early, focused on finishing the work, got it done within the expected window (this included a quick run to Home Depot for supplies), and left the bathroom looking tidy. Robert was polite and answered questions about other work I might need to have done in the future - I wouldn't hesitate to call him again for those projects. While it wasn't included in my initial quote, he was kind enough to call helpers to bring the old sink down the stairs of my walkup building. Thanks for a job well done!
