I've then coming to Jiffy Lube for many years, since my 1st car at age 16 years and I am now almost 50 years old. I been to various locations throughout Long Island and the five boroughs to manage the maintenance of my car's oil change - as most Jiffy lubes are fast and cost-effective. This is my first time at the Floral Park location and it thus far has exceeded my expectations in comparison to other locations that I have been to like the Hempstead and Valley Stream locations - which in my opinion at the time of services needed more professionalism (loud music, cursing and native patois speaking in boisterous tones) and to do a thorough job as I speculated that my oil wasn't even changed and I was charged (my vehicle is under warranty,dealer maintained and has no service lights on yet my oil was dark and thick AFTER a supposed it oil change when checked). At the Floral Park location I was greeted by the manager Jimmy upon arrival and had the door held for me, which exemplified both customer service and courtesy. In addition to that ; they didn't try to upsell me any unneeded products or services -which was appreciated. Being a woman it is often taken as an opportunity to take advantage with upselling under the guise of scare tactics that your car may break down or have you issues. I used this location for the first time, since it was close for an inspection of my 2024 Explorer. They took in my car and after told me that I failed because of my back tires. First they should have visually inspected those before even failing me. I told them that and shrugged their shoulders. Then charged me while taking my current sticker and throwing it away. Then they didn't give me an extension sticker which allows me 10 days to get that fixed and reinspected all of which are clearly stated on the nys dmv website as how to inspect. Both the manager and the inspector said they never even heard of any type of sticker. They wasted 3 hours of my time. My wife, who takes her car to another jiffy lube location, had the exact same issue with a completely opposite experience. They gave her an extension, allowed her time to get her tires changed and were immensely helpful to her. Extremely poor customer service throughout this location. Avoid this spot at all costs. They don't care about you or your time. read more

This was hands-down the most frustrating and unprofessional experience I've had at a service shop. I dropped my car off at 8 AM for a simple inspection. I was told they'd begin at 9:30. At 12:00 PM, I got a call saying it was ready--only to find out they had confused my vehicle with someone else's. They promised to get it done immediately, yet 30 minutes later, my car still hadn't been touched. Another 30 minutes passed while it just sat there. When I asked the manager for an ETA, she snapped that we had already talked--then proceeded to pull my car out of the bay and refused to perform the inspection. Wasted half my day for nothing. Took my 01 Honda Accord in for inspection on 6/30/2025. Has 143k miles on the clock. I usually go to the jiffy lube in mineola for my inspections, awesome guys and never had any issues with them. Only reason I didn't go there is because they told me their inspection guy got into an accident that same morning and couldn't make it to work. So I went over to the jiffy lube in floral park 15 mins down the road. Had to wait about 30 mins, which is no big deal. They the inspector, short older white guy by the name of (R. Walker), took my car in and began the inspection. He was taking much longer than usual, which I found odd. Saw him take my rear wheel off, started mashing my rear drum brake with a weighted hammer, which I found even more weird. Then I come to find my that I passed emissions, but failed the safety because the parking brake failed. More specifically, it apparently takes off with the parking brake up while the car is in drive and that the car shouldn't even move with the parking brake up at 1500 rpm load. Immediately I knew that was a load of ****. Literally in the jiffy lube parking lot, I decided to test this out. Pulled the parking brake up, put it in drive, the car didn't even move..... Mind you, the car is 24 years old with rear drum brakes, which I had replaced with brand new drums, shoes, lines, wheel cylinders, and hardware at approx 100k miles. The inspector didn't even explain anything to me this entire interaction. I kid you not (not the inspection guy)... EVEN THE TECH WHO RUNG ME UP TOLD ME TO JUST TAKE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Of course the parking brake won't work as well compared to cars of today's standards that use 4 wheel disc and/or electronic parking brakes. Took my car to another place the following day and they passed me, no problem. Said nothing is wrong with my parking brake. They even tested it themselves and the parking brake brought my car to a dead stop from a roll while in gear. I am no stranger to working on cars and do all the maintenance on my cars and others for family and friends ranging from oil changes, disc brakes, spark plugs, filters, etc. Absolutely do not recommend this place. Listen to all the 1 star reviews, save your time & money, and just do not come here for anything. Go elsewhere! read more

Took my car there for a simple oil change and then went to work and left my car parked. By the evening my check engine light came on while I was on my way home and the car had an extremely loud rattle and I couldn't go past 10 mph. This started on the highway and already it was nerve-racking going from 50 mph to 10 mph all the while there's this extremely loud rattle going on. Being late in the evening, I had no choice but to drive home with my hazards on as I had no one to assist me in the matter and it was late in the evening during a holiday weekend. The following morning, I went to the dealer the following morning. Having driven less than 20 miles since my oil change and after the dealership diagnosed my vehicle, they stated that I needed a new engine. Why? Because there was NO oil in the car, it had all leaked out. Someone didn't tighten the cap and my car was dry of oil. The engine oil got all around the engine bay and a result of having no oil in my car caused metal shavings and thus my engine seized. Best part of all, the car could've caught on fire under driving in those conditions. That was 5 days ago and not even a courtesy call back. I knew this would be a process, but to even call and acknowledge my concern and the fact I was put into a situation and drove in a car where I could've been harmed or worse. My significant other was with me during that horrific drive and it got on my nerves even more that she had to be there in that situation! I know in this situation, where I am coming to your company to ask for reimbursement will be something dragged out. I expect that, but the service from employees to not get back, the owner/franchisee who may or may not be notified on this (shame on you if you don't know what's going on in your own store), are you even human? So far it's taken me days to process this, but I'm in total disgust and your establishment is nothing less than grotesque. read more

STAY AWAY I CALLED CORPORATE AND FILED A FORMAL COMPLAINT. I've been going to jiffy lube, for years, to get oil changes. Never encountered any issues before. Went there on 5/13 to get my oil changed and noticed that they were doing inspections. The person who did the inspection said that he had trouble removing one of my seatbelts in the back seat. He expressed several times that he was leaving in five minutes, and he would have to charge me extra to stay and attempt to remove the seatbelt. He made me feel that he didn't have time to accommodate the situation. Since I lived five minutes away, I said I would go home and remove the seatbelt myself and come back and he said he was going home. I asked to speak to the manager and she was out the whole hour that I was there. The second person in charge said that they would attempt to get the seatbelt out but they would have to charge me extra and since I had to get the car inspected, I said, do what you gotta do. The person who did the inspection sprayed a whole bunch of oil all over my back seat and then came and told me that the seatbelt would not come out. I went home.I had to clean up oil in the back seat. I was able to remove the seatbelts with a very thin screwdriver.It popped right out. I also had to clean the outside of my car because there was fingerprints on every part of my car, greasy dirty fingerprints on my white car. My steering wheel was covered in oil to the point where I almost got into an accident Because my hand slipped off the steering wheel. My car stinks of oil to the point where I was nauseous and thought I was going to vomit. I went back to jiffy lube, after removing the seatbelt, and the person who does the inspections was gone. I attempted to speak to the manager, but she still was not there. I went home and called the manager. They left me on hold for 9 mins. MANAGER spoke to me on the phone and said, basically that these things happen. She was very casual and seem to have a what would you like me to do about it attitude.I went back on 5/14 for the reinspection. And the person that does the inspections then informs me that another one of my seatbelts was not working. I feel that he did this to be spiteful and malicious He told me to go to a body shop or go back to chrysler and have the seatbelt changed. At this point, i'm fed up and i'm angry because He didn't even try to fix the situation like any good service person would do. I went to another service station and they took a a blower and just blew the dirt out of the seat belt, which was causing the seatbelt not to lock in. All my seatbelts work fine and my car passed inspection on 5/14 with no problem. Unfortunately, I had to pay jiffy lube for an inspection that failed. It seems this guy that does inspections was just looking for any excuse to fail the inspection that they could charge me. They charged me extra $10 for failed inspection. They told me another $36 to put lube on the seatbelt that was stuck. Since I am the one that eventually fixed the seatbelt, I shouldn't and wasnt going to pay for that. Because i expressed my opinion on that i dont feel he even tried to remove the seat belt after spray DW40 All over my backseat. On 5/14, I used my car all day to Go from job to job and my car stinks of oil to the point where it's making me sick. I cleaned and sprayed and on 5/15 it still reaks of oil. Called the manager again today but she is off. They didn't apply my ten dollar coupon for the oil change. And then to reinspect that they wanted to charge me another $10. I will not be returning to jiffy.Lube. they have lost a long term customer. They need to stop putting 20 year olds in charge. They need to have mature people running a business. The person that does the inspections incompetent and lacks customer service skills. He should put a seat protector in the car and a floor protector. He left my car a dirty mess with oil and grease all over. I left a google review online and there are many complaints about this inspector. I have been to this Jiffy Lube before, they fixed my freon and it was fine. I've had an oil change and it was fine. I've been to another Jiffy Lube for an oil change, no problem. I prefer the convenience than driving to my mechanic. I had never seen the person who helped me before but an oil change isn't rocket science. So about a month has gone by and my engine starts making a noise. I said what the heck, that sounds like no oil. So I immediately stopped driving because I know that sound is NOT a good sound and can cause major damage if you keep going. This car is in great shape and I don't want to lose it, it's still worth $6000 if sold and I own it outright. So I check the oil and can't believe my eyes, NO OIL. So I put in oil, take it to the mechanic, he said there is nothing wrong with your car, there is no reason for you not to have oil, nothing is leaking. The cap wasn't loose because I opened it myself. I had to pay the mechanic to check my car. Jiffy Lube should not cost me money. They clearly did not refill my oil. It seems like they just put in a tiny bit of oil. My friend told me going forward, no matter where you go, check the dipstick. I had no idea people did things like that. I am shocked. I mean I hope it's just human error because I've been to this place a few times now without incident, but after this, I just can't go back. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE you are better off going to any other mechanic, the people working were unhelpful and condescending, I went in for an inspection and explained that I work close by and have to be at work at 4pm it was about 12:30/1pm and they told me no problem it would be done a little before 4 I left and came back at around 3:35pm to which they told me my car is next they're about to start, they hurriedly pulled it in and when I asked what time it would be done because again I had to leave to be at work at 4, emmanuel the front desk guy told me it'd be done a little before 4 pm to which I said no problem. At about 3:55 I look over and they're lifting my car up I asked again about how long it would be and Ira j. the man performing the inspection came over and asked me what the problem was that he was doing it and I explained that I had let emmanuel know I had to leave to be at work at 4 and he said to me he was doing it and walked away, after that he periodically looked over while I watched and 20 minutes later I got my car back nobody said anything to me about the condition my car was in or the inspection itself. my car failed the inspection for rear brakes and a seatbelt issue which I read on the paper they left on my dashboard. Ira also made it clear that my plates were damaged and peeling (they are not) I got my car repaired and the mechanic said my plates look great. safe to say I will never be going back. read more

Went to do the inspection... was a warning on the panels, they didn't care about it. To finish the scene the person who takes care of the inspection, removed the old sticker on the windshield, left it in there by the dashboard in a thousand pieces and to concluding he just stick the new one totally in the diagonal right next to the registration sticker. I have just had my second amazing experience at this Jiffy Lube. My first experience was several months ago when I went for an oil change. I wish I took the guys name down but he was very kind. I had a damaged cap but they were able to complete the oil change. There was no pressure to purchase anything. I just went back for my next oil change. I was in and out quickly, treated very respectfully, and again, was not pressured to buy anything as often the case at an oil change place. I was helped by a different gentleman this time (Andy) and he was equally as kind as the first. I don't know if this is an all over Jiffy Lube change or just the one in Floral Park, but I will definitely be returning. Thank you for the great service. read more

I was pressed for time and felt pressured but I googled this place and they did a car inspection I surprises. Quick speedy efficient. I came to this JL for my inspection. They failed me and said I needed ONE new windshield wiper. I have a brand new car. How on earth are they going to say I'm not going to pass inspection. The place was quick and really affordable since the world is on a quarantine and everyone is so worried I think their practices could have been a little better, some guys were wearing masks and some were not, I noticed a guy not wearing a mask was the one working on my car and because I got an inspection he had to go inside they used plastic seat covers and steering wheel cover so I guess it was ok but I would have felt wayyyyy better if they all had masks on and at least wiped down the interior of my car with disinfectant after they were in and out of it but if it weren't for that it was great ! read more

BEWARE OF THIS JIFFY LUBE AND DO NOT LET JIMMY GO NEAR YOUR VEHICLE! JIMMY BROKE MY RIGHT TAIL LIGHT AND SCRATCHED MY VEHICLE! ALSO, JIFFY LUBE DID NOT TAKE CARE OF ALL OF THE DAMAGES THEY CAUSED!  I brought my vehicle to get a quick oil change on 11/22/19, but this visit was anything but quick. I waited around 25 minutes to get oil changed and once they brought my vehicle out of their repair shed, I noticed that my vehicle's right tail light was shattered and there were a few scratches under that shattered light. After I noticed my vehicle's right tail light was damaged, I notified the staff.  The staff then proceeded to desregaurd my this matter and JIMMY, one of their staff members stated that I brought my vehicle in this condition to their repair shop and they did not break it. I proceeded to tell him that he was incorrect and that Jiffy Lube was the one who broke my tail light and scratched my vehicle. JIMMY, then proceeded to try to convince me that it was not them who was the proximate cause of this damage. I asked if they can check the camera footage of their shop to further prove that Jiffy Lube damaged my vehicle.  Everyone proceeded to ignore me and the gentleman in the red shirt stated that only the manager, BRAULIO RIVERA has access to the footage and is not at the shop at the moment. I then stated that I would wait for him to come back, but JIMMY advised me to leave and stated that BRAULIO would call me regarding this issue. I told them, no and decided to wait. BRAULIO arrived approximately 30 minutes later, and stated that he does not have access to the camera footage and would call me when this matter was done. I was very upset and embarrassed that I had to keep going back and forth with JIMMY in front of the Jiffy Lube staff and other customers about this matter. I proceeded to wait in my vehicle at their residence waiting for my boyfriend to come help me deal with Jiffy Lube because they were disregarding this issue and felt that they could take advantage of me. As I'm waiting in my vehicle JIMMY, comes up to me and admits to being the one that damaged my vehicle. This proves that JIMMY has no integrity and tried to take advantage of me. After my boyfriend came and yelled at the staff for treating me poorly, Braulio stated that he would fix my tail light for me and repaired it on 11/29/19. After he did the repair, I asked if he would repair the scratches or if I can have their insurance information to submit a claim to fix it.  BRAULIO STATED THAT JIFFY LUBE DOES NOT HAVE INSURANCE AND THERE IS NOTHING MORE THAT HE CAN DO FOR ME. I stated, that is impossible and every establishment, especially for a business that deals with car maintenance. BRAULIO THEN RUDELY STATED THAT HE HAS TO REMOVE MY NEW TAIL LIGHT AND SUBMIT A CLAIM, WITHOUT GIVING ME ANY INSURANCE INFORMATION. I refused his offer because he ALREADY THREW OUT MY BROKEN TAIL LIGHT. BRAULIO STATED THAT THERE IS NOTHING ELSE HE CAN DO FOR ME AND WALKED AWAY FROM ME. What type of establishment is this!? They damaged my vehicle, lied about damaging it, made me argue with them, and the manager states that he cannot do anything further for me. This place is no integrity, does not value their customers, and does not take ownership for their mistakes. read more

I sat in my car and waited over 2 hours for my inspection because they tell you to park against the wall and wait. They forgot about me. Had to walk into the garage and ask only to find out the inspector went to lunch and would not be back for an additional 30min. Wasted my entire day here because of their disorganization and lack of customer service. Don't come here to get your inspection. You will be forgotten. read more

I tried to get an oil change and NYS inspection. I was told at 3PM Thursday that the inspector would be in tomorrow (Friday) from 8AM to 5PM. I arrived Friday morning 11:20 AM and was told that there were no inspections beyond this wall? I asked what that meant. He repeated "no inspections beyond this wall" again I asked what does that mean, can I get an inspection or not. He said not today. I explained that I was told yesterday inspections are 8-5 on Friday. He stated "they were wrong" he's been doing inspections since 10 and he has to leave. (There was no line and one car being inspected in the bay). This same nonsense has happened the last 2 times I had my cars inspected here. Such a waste of my time. He did offer to change my oil. Jiffy Lube 50 Jericho Turnpike is the BEST. They took care protecting the surfaces of my car. Foremost, staff was professional, polite and quick. Reception area was clean. I only wish I was allowed to tour the underground work area underneath the cars. read more

I was disappointed with my oil change service for today. Aside for the long wait ( 1 hr and 15 min) , when I get home which was just a mile away, I noticed there was like a smoke coming out from the engine. I parked in front of the house and called my husband to check it out. "There was a leak", as he said . "It was not capped properly and there was an over flow". My husband was furious about it . It was such trouble re-doing it and not safe if ever I have decided to go somewhere afterwards. I am seeing a poor service from this location lately . It was always short staffed. It used to be a reliable service center. I may start to look for a better place in the neighborhood. read more

First, the oil change cost more at Jiffy Lube than just about any other "quick lube" locations. Second, they don't explain all the services available unless you ask. When I pulled in, the gentleman tried to sell me premium services when I already explained that I was only interested in the "value service" that was currently being promoted and which he never even mentioned. Lastly, it took over an hour to get in and out. Granted it was a Saturday afternoon, but it really wasn't all that crowded. I guess it's my own fault that I pulled away a little frustrated. Best experience ever! Came in for an oil change and was treated with courtesy and respect. In spite of never having to leave my car , everyone was masked and all transactions done thru my car window. They thoroughly checked my car and found I had a brake light and the license plate light out. I had at least three mechanics buzzing around my car checking everything! Did I pay alittle more for the oil change? ...($47.00), yes... but the service was so worth it! I had been trying to get an oil change at several gas stations for two weeks with everyone, ( including my mechanic), telling me I had to leave the car for two hours which was impossible for me to do. I think I was at Jiffy Lube for thirty mins ... tops! Great place! They even have a female mechanic which was so cool to me!
