11Nov2024 Hello:…read more I cannot say enough about the workmanship, professionalism, courteous treatment received today when I brought my 2012 Buick Verano in for an issue I was having with the Thermostat. I was greeted by Gary and Michael. I explained my issue. Immediately, Michael told me what was going to be involved and the approximate cost. When I returned to pickup my car, they had installed a new AC DELCO THERMOSTAT and GASKET. They pressure checked the coolant system for leaks. They covered all bases in a thorough and complete manner. Also, the mechanic who handled the complete process was fantastic! Once again, I was a satisfied customer. Thank you! Lorraine L. Elmont, NY

Instead of treating customers with courtesy and professionalism, I felt dismissed and spoken to in an unprofessional manner. I went to this auto repair shop for a vehicle inspection, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The manager/owner was rude and disrespectful. While I was waiting, I noticed the employees standing around talking and the owner even came out to ride an electric skateboard in the front of the shop, so I politely asked if the technician had finished the oil change on the car ahead of me. Instead of answering my question professionally, the manager/owner told me I could "stay or go." I found his response dismissive and unprofessional. As a customer, I was simply trying to understand how much longer the wait would be. A little courtesy and communication go a long way, but I didn't receive either during my visit. Based on this experience, I would not return and cannot recommend this shop. I went to Central Valley Auto Repair which is three blocks down on 234 N. Central Ave. Better service. Nick's Auto was a reputable shop for many years under the original owner, John. After John sold the business and retired, the professionalism and customer service that made this shop well respected is gone. BEWARE!!

I recently found an honest and good mechanic shop Called Central Valley Auto repair. Mr. Muhammad is a very nice man and made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. I have been hearing and feeling a grinding noise on the right side of my Ford explorer truck for a while. I kept postponing to get it fixed due to not knowing any shops i felt i could trust. I started looking online for the best shops near me. I came across Central Valley Auto Repair. I took my car there and spoke with Mr. Muhammad, he said I would have to leave the truck and he will inspect and give me a call. He call me back shortly with a great quote for the parts and labor so told him to proceed with the repairs. A few minutes later he called me again and stated there was more issues that needed to be addressed with the repairs. The quote for the additional parts and labor was also great and fair. When I went to pick up the truck Mr. Muhammad informed me the truck was repaired and better than when I brought it in and if anything is wrong with his work to bring it back and he will fix it. As I drove the car home I kept thinking to myself this car is riding amazing feels like it was new. Before I reached home I got another call from Mr. Muhammad asking how was the car riding. Now that's what I call customer service. I told him I'm not taking my truck anywhere else for repairs. Central Valley Auto Repair has a customer for life! Mr. Muhammad is the Best!!!

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. It's one thing to not be able to work on a foreign car, but…read moreit's another thing to say you can do it, and then botch simple work. I took my C300 to this shop and asked for a replacement of my backup light and washer fluid hose. Not the most difficult of work and the guy even assured me it would be fine. He ended up replacing my backup light with a used bulb that was dim and charged me 50 dollars for it. Next, he "replaced" my entire washer fluid reservoir when only the hose needed replacing . A panel from the bottom of my car ended up falling out 2 days later and all my washer fluid fell out. I ended up leaving with more problems than I had because I had to find someone who could put the panel back up. Avoid these people if you can.

I bought a Nissan Maxima from Sam's Auto Care in Westbury in August 2025. I was told the engine was…read morestrong, that the car would get me back and forth to work every day on the Northern State Parkway safely, that I could put another 100,000 miles on it, and that Sam had already put a lot of new parts into the car. That is not what happened. I only got about 15,000 miles out of it. After the purchase I still had to pay Sam about $2,000 more to replace the catalytic converter, an engine mount, and the right front control arm. In August 2026 I brought the car back. I asked for an oil change, pointed out a strap hanging down in the front of the car (Sam said he saw it), and asked him to do the inspection because it expires in September 2026. I was then told the car needed a list of repairs, including new struts and shocks -- work Sam had said was already done when I bought the car a year earlier. Three days after I got the car back, the check engine light came on. I took it to AutoZone across the street. Their free test said the exhaust failed, the oxygen sensor needed to be replaced, and the air filter was no good. I took the paperwork and the same repair bills to Tony, another mechanic down the street. He said the car needed about another $3,000 in repairs to be safe to drive, and that this was more than the car was worth. I ended up donating the car to charity. I cannot recommend buying a used car from this shop based on this experience. I was told it was a solid daily driver with a lot of life left and recent work already done. I spent more money after the sale, the same items came up again a year later, and within days of the last visit the check engine light was on and two other shops said it still was not safe or worth fixing.

I called Mercedes to see if they do body work and they recommended me to a collision place "they use". After reading their reviews, I knew I was NOT going there. I did a search and found a Touch of Class Collision. I called, and the staff was friendly attentive and caring. The young man who drove me to the rental place was so friendly and professional as well. Yesterday, 4 February, I finally picked up my car. It took a while but that was because the other insurance company took their time to get adjusters etc. When I got there, Gabe came out to greet me, they pulled my Alpine white, 300C up and I was floored. It looked like a brand new car, like it had come out of the showroom. Gabe explained the work they did and that the impact was much more that it showed superficially. The inside was spotless, the trunk, glove compartment everything was just spotless and so clean. This morning my dad went to charge the battery and he said even the engine is spotless and so clean. The body is shiny and brand new looking and they also left a tube of paint just in case:). I highly recommend A Touch of Class Collision. Gabe is super and the staff is amazing.
