I hired Shawn and Cornerstone to replace my waterfall pump, as our cord was hacked by the person installing new sod. After Shawn removed the pump, he informed us that the pump was in good shape and that he could repair the cord. He completed the work and the waterfall now works great again and he did a more than was expected. By repairing instead of replacing, he saved us several hundred dollars at his expense. We've had a hard time finding out what was wrong with my pond. Shut off after a few hours. My pond is large with three waterfalls. The story is too long to tell but suffice it to say after three trips it is now running like a top. There were several issues and several different symptoms so was difficult to pin down. Total charge including repair of the connector to the float was under $200. This is heresy to say from a customer standpoint, but they are (shush) under charging. There I said it. Had been using another service (that consider themselves "complete"). Not even. What was really bad was they said they couldn't service my pond because they didn't build it. I ran into some trouble attempting to fix a small water fountain at my home, which the previous homeowners installed. Initially, it was just a matter of cleaning/removing some algae build-up. In the process of doing that, I tweaked the (very cheap) water float valve so that there was a slow leak that led to overfilling and spillage. I called several different local fountain repair services and either didn't get a call back or -- in the case of one person -- a reply that simply said "Sorry, not interested. Good luck." Shawn wasn't available for about 4 weeks, but he did talk me through how to do -- what turned out to be -- this very easy repair via phone calls, text messages, and emails. I am so grateful for the time that Shawn took to help me because the fountain is now up and running again with no leaks and no algae. We have 2 built-in tile sizable fountains in our landscaping that have not been running for a number of years. Both needed cleaned, stains on the tiles addressed, and a general refresh. When we bought our house we also assumed responsibility for a neglected 2-tier pond that was on its last legs. Thankfully, Cornerstone was able to save the day - no small feat considering the hundreds of lbs of rotting leaf matter and a 90-lb solid mass of roots at the bottom of the skimmer that had completely encased the pump. Oh my gosh, it was our lucky day when we had Shawn and his son Tyler out to service our pond/stream. The past few years we were using another company but this year they could not come out till the end of July. Not wanting to wait I looked up other companies. Since Cornerstone Ponds and Waterfalls has a 5 stsr rating decided to call them. Boy were we ever glad we did. Not only returned call promptly, showed up when they said they would, honest but also really friendly. Our pond/stream was a mess, totally loaded with string moss. I say he was honest because he said he just wasn't able to do a good job the way it was. Because it was dried out, told him we have a leak in the liner, it really needed to get a wider liner. Then he told us exactly where to go and how to do it since he really does not do that kind of repair. All the rocks need to come out, new liner put in and rocks replaced. All I can tell you is that we will forever have them be the ones we will be using to clean our pond. Only wish I could give Shawn a higher rating. Darlene read more

They did return my call and came out today (I was not available last week). They did a great job and I found out some things about my pond I didn't know before.
