Service was polite, prompt, and neat. Technicians came in two trips for a total of three hours labor time to replace sprinkler controller and two valves. Home Depot website lists the installed parts for total of about $100. I was charged a total of $1000. That's $300 per hour. I do think that tradesmen should be paid a fair wage for their time and skill. But the amount I was charged seemed quite excessive to me. read more

This is by far the worst experience I could ever imagine. Tim first came out to my house 3 weeks ago and we discussed my lawn project in depth and then later texted for 2 weeks after confirming the price and everything expected. I gave him a deposit of $400 to reserve my work to be done October 23-25. On October 23rd, today the pro walks the yard with me once again just to "confirm the scope of the project" as he's quoted it and then leaves and says he will be right back with his crew. He then text messaged me 20 min after leaving and tells me that he had the right to refuse service to anyone and doesn't want a check from my contractor, personal check or business check... even cash!! He then tells me via text he wants to return my deposit and his business partner says it sounds "fishy" .. keep in mind I've had this project scheduled for 3 weeks and discussed via text with him the whole time and my contractor is starting work in 2 weeks and this is going to cost me a lot of money missing my work trip and finding a new pro. To make it worse he refused to answer the phone calls from me to discuss whatever the reason might be and ignores my calls while continuing to text me and eating up an hour of my day. We live in Sun City Roseville and they came around the neighborhood handing out door hangers to get business. We have an entire backyard that needs landscaped and since everyone seems to be so booked up several weeks out, we thought let's call them. We figured they must be a new business and are looking for business as they were handing out flyers; maybe they can come sooner than 8 weeks out to do our yard. The owner came the next day and my husband showed him the yard and talked to him about some of the ideas we had. It's pretty much a blank slate... no clean up or tearing out of old landscaping because we have pretty much already done that. The owner of Valley Springs Landscaping seemed a bit overwhelmed with the job and when my husband asked if we could drive by a couple of jobs they had done he said "sure no problem. I will have a quote back to you by the end of tonight". Well needless to say we never received his quote and no phone call either to say hey I can't do the job... it's more than I can take on or anything to this affect. How rude. As a business owner with a Yelp account you need to understand that integrity is everything in business and now having read your only other review, we understand why you received the review you did. Thank goodness we didn't hire you. Bottom line, your flyer says "let us earn your business"... Well kiddo you aren't going to earn any business with this type of business acumen. If you can't do it, just call and say, "sorry, I can't do it" people will respect that. The man in charge of my project, made mistakes, then justified his actions and made decisions that were not his to make. He did not cancel an appointment with me to finished the work and came on my property without my permission when I was not home. Don't hire these guys. I had Tim replace a fence for me in my backyard. The cement for the 4x4 was not slightly above ground level as I directed. The fence was not as tall as I requested. Low quality boards were placed on the fence. The boards were warping after the first week. At least a dozen places were not secured by nails. I had to go back and secure these fence boards. Tim is currently working on the 4th consecutive project at my home. Each job has been done with efficiency, great attention to detail, with excellent communication and timeliness. It is rare to find a contractor who provides all of this. His prices are very reasonable. Tim and his entire team of family members are a pleasure to work with and are diligent hard workers who are very dependable. The projects they have done so far include tree removal, cutting back trees, branches, planting a new tree, removal and installation of irrigation and sod replaced with hardscape, repair of drains, installation of decomposed granite pathways and even the installation of my backyard fence which was damaged during a storm while in the midst of doing these projects.
