I had Loose Dirt re-gravel my long driveway. It had several areas where rain had washed it out in past years and it was a mess to drive up. I had several other companies come give me quotes and plans of how they would fix it that were really high and seemed too elaborate for a gravel driveway. Running out of patience ... 3 tries to get the job right and it is still, leaking. A simple job, that is taking several tries to do correctly. No communication, no follow up, 2 no shows, employees working out of the back of their personal cars, at one point they borrowed some of my tools. Unfortunately I will still call them to finish the job they started, but do not recommend them for getting the job done right the first time, or follow through on their appointments, or communicate properly. In the meantime the lawn is yellow and the water bill is high !!!! read more

When you're an old woman, it's difficult to find a company that does good work and doesn't give lip service. I contracted to have 4 sprinklers raised because they had gotten buried due to all the rain. Matt came out to assess the job, and when I asked him if he would be out on the job, he said yes. The only time I saw Matt was at the initial assessment. Long story short, the end result was that the 4 sprinklers were left raised out of the ground 4+ inches before popping up. I was told that they were as low as possible unless the main pipes were dug up. Made no sense to me. I had another sprinkler company out today and they lowered all 4 sprinklers to ground level and even repaired my control box at half the price. I really liked the initial plan for my yard and liked the Loose Dirt team, but they had me on an annual contract and never stopped by or contacted me after Labor Day, even after several inquiries. He went through different sprinkler zones, canvassed the areas for a good while, and came up with a few ideas for me. I appreciated the time he took to explain his thought process so it would make sense to me why he would need to do certain types of work. Unfortunately, due to the rain, he couldn't fix it right then and there but came back a few days later as promised. The slow leaking pipe only happens after the system completes its normal daily running cycle. If manually shut off the water valve at the station after running the cycle, it would be okay. If not, then there's a huge amount of water drained down the street after a few hours. Matt fully inspected and recommended not to do anything but replace the sprinkler valve since it doesn't close completely after. It works for me. Thank you Matt for saving me.
