    Little wall decoration

Cornerstone Pizza is definitely an old school, no frills type of pizzeria located on the corner of Fern Creek Avenue and Michigan Avenue, next to Orlando's iconic Johnny's Filling Station. Pulling into the parking lot, I have to say that parking is rather limited and the exterior definitely has seen better days. They have a sign pole that no longer has a sign and the building is drab and the name painted on the building definitely appears to be a DIY project. Walking in doesn't make it any better, if anything, it just continues to spiral downward. The inside is small, cramped and in desperate need of a serious deep cleaning. I mean this place was beyond not having ambiance. I think it would have been preferable to sit outside in an alley lined with dumpsters and broken streetlights. There were two gentlemen working and while service was not overly friendly, it was not bad. I had ordered online (on Mondays, there is a twenty discount if you order online) and was very early for my pickup. One of the gentlemen conveyed that it would be about fifteen more minutes until my pizza would be ready. I settled in and waited. There were only two other customers in the place at about five o'clock in the afternoon. Soon enough my pizza was ready and I was on my way. Upon arriving home, I tore into the pizza. First, the pizza definitely needs more cheese. The sauce was also a bit sweet.the crust was not bad, however, it was a bit overcooked. I had driven by this spot without stopping for many years and I am happy that I finally stopped here and gave it a try. However, I just did not think it was anything special and even calling it mediocre would be a kind description. I do not think that I will be returning.

I ate here once a long time ago and for some reason forgot to go back until now. I won't make that mistake again! We ordered a large pizza and wings for delivery. The delivery came promptly and the driver found our apartment which was awesome because delivery drivers usually have a really hard time with finding it. The food was still warm and fresh. The wings had a good flavor and were a generous size. I also liked the ranch they use. I'd like the wings a little crisper so I'll probably ask for that next time. The pizza was also very good. The sauce had a fresh, herby flavor that I really enjoyed. There was a good amount of cheese and toppings and the crust had a nice crunch to it. It ranks high for the pizzas I've tried! I will definitely be ordering again for pizza and wings and also want to try some of their entrees in the future.

Amazing pizza best in town they have excellent customer service and they have the best cheesecake in town also. I highly recommend this place for anyone that wants pizza delivered to them or if you just want to sit and have an awesome slice.

The thinnest place I've ever seen. Only room for two lines of people in the main area, one line for ordering, one line for picking up. Behind the counter was quite the operation. Pies being baked in one oven, being put on display, and then another oven jam packed with slices being warmed for the customer, along with their accompanying garlic knot. Every slice comes with a complimentary knot. I'm pretty sure I saw whole pizzas going out with eight included knots. The service was pretty good. Efficient, friendly enough workers. There was an aura of hurry up, what do you need, but with a line out the door literally all night, I do not blame them one bit. And the slice factory line got you in an out as quickly as it possible could. As for the slice itself, it was pretty ok. Good crust, foldable slice. Very cheesy, which is needed for most clientele who are in the middle of downtown in need of munchies. Slim toppings, though, and even after the heating process, the slice was kind of cold. Overall, for the convenience and the price, this place was good. I'll definitely come back under the right circumstances.

I asked if they offered a military discount, and the employee told me they did. When I presented my military ID, he refused to apply the discount and then attempted to take my government-issued military ID out of my hand to inspect whether it was legitimate. That interaction really caught me off guard and made me uncomfortable. Regardless of the store's policy, there are more respectful and professional ways to handle that situation. I still purchased my food and ordered a standard cheese pizza, hoping the food would make up for the experience. Unfortunately, it was pretty average. The bottom of the pizza was pale and seemed undercooked, so it lacked the crisp texture I was expecting. The ambience, however, did seem really nice. They have upstairs seating that overlooks the street, which could make for a nice spot if you're dining in. Overall, I understand busy shifts can be stressful, but customers should still be treated with courtesy and respect. Better customer service and more consistency in the quality of the pizza would go a long way. Based on this visit, I don't see myself returning.

While I was unfortunately on a time crunch (had to get setup for a show nearby), my family dined on what looked like delicious food! I did try a bite of the pizza and it was EXCELLENT! Three salads, an olive appetizer, two beers, bread, three pizzas, one dessert, all nailed perfectly. Server even checked in about our food allergies. Two months later, tried going with my fiance. 6:30pm reservation on a Sunday. We showed up ten minutes early, to try and be cordial in case it was busy again, like last time. We walked in to four full tables, and four that were clearly unbussed and still dirty. Three servers are handling the four tables. We're greeted, and the first thing we're asked is if we'd "be okay sitting at the bar?" We told them about our reservation, and we're asked to wait a few minutes... while the servers went back to their other customers. Immediate red flag. It's still loud and cold, inside, with the owner and two other BoH members handling food orders. After we told them again about our reservation, we asked if we could sit on the patio. Nodding at each other and pointing that none of the dirty tables inside still had been cleaned, whatsoever. The young server that finally sat us invited to go over the menu as she went to "find out who would be helping us, this evening." (It turned out to be her, with obvious reluctance on her face.) We then waited ten minutes, with room temperature water and another couple eating takeout pizza, directly from the box, five feet away from us... On a night we both had planned for weeks. She inevitably came back, and we Immediately told her we needed to leave. There's no reason why three servers can't handle that lax of a clientele volume, while also bussing their own tables. If you're dropping around $30 a person on dinner, with the literal business owner present behind the counter, that level of blatant laziness shouldn't even be possible. We'll try again on a day expected to be busy. They clearly need some fire under their asses, and it's not coming from where it should be.
