However, our party of four waited 50 minutes for our breakfast. Even coffee took quite a while to arrive. A canned coke was delivered 20 minutes after ordering. Three out of the four entrees were served after waiting for 50 minutes, the other one took an additional 5 minutes and we waited for another 5 minutes to receive the side. The food was mostly good - Omelet was chock full of meat and was delicious. Bacon was really good. Burger was average and fried chicken was kind of meh - crispy, but very dry. We did enjoy the live acoustic music. It was great to hear live music in the morning since most places only have it at night. However, the excessive wait for food really overshadowed the rest of our visit. Oh well.....

For anyone even remotely experienced in eating steak, which I a far beyond, would know instantly that it was a ribeye. Ribeye is fattier and has different textures of meat in three places. A strip is one, lean piece is steak with a fat strip along the narrow side of the cut. I was super disappointed and thought they would give me the cut I ordered but know I ate the fatty ribeye. The depth of flavor in the broth is incredible. It was flavorful enough and well balanced with being overly strong. They were only taking to go orders in June 2020 when I was here. By the time I finished my meal I had to place a call to them to tell them how great I enjoyed the pho. Something they already know of course. The noodles were also not mushy like other places. Their menu is varied, there are many options to choose from. Vegetarian options are available, the food is fresh and they aren't skimpy on the portions. Prices are reasonable, and fair. I ordered the Banh Pho Xao, which is not the Pho soup, it's a fried noodle dish, with chicken. Fresh and delicious. The waitstaff was friendly, attentive, and courteous. Such nice people. I support local businesses, this restaurant is owned by local folks, and is a gem in the neighbourhood. Parking is free, there's a parking lot in the front, and also free parking is available on the street. I don't drive, and if you don't either, fear not! The PVTA G1 bus will take you right up there. Get off at Sumner and White St, and it's a short walk to Soc Trang from there. And to get back to Union Station, cross White St, to the PVTA kiosk, and take the G1 back to Union Station. This restaurant serves food all day, there's no closure of the kitchen between lunch and dinner, so if you're hungry at 3:30 in the afternoon like I was, you won't have to worry about seeing a "Closed until 5" sign. The restaurant itself is clean, and well organised. It's family friendly, and from what I saw, there's room for parties, family gatherings, or small receptions. There was a large fish tank, which was very clean, with peaceful, healthy fish swimming around. All in all, a very pleasant experience!
