Hands down THE BEST sandwiches I've ever had!!! I usually don't like pastrami, but their Brisket Pastrami sandwich Ray's Wayz is delicious and super filling. Their breakfast sandwich is bomb too! I've also tried a few other sandwiches and honestly, they are all really good! You can taste the high quality meat and fresh ingredients in every bite. Their sandwiches are pretty big and I usually can only eat half in a sitting and save the rest for later. I love that it doesn't get soggy when I have leftovers. Came back for a second visit today. We tried two new sandwhiches we didn't try last time and they were even better!! I got the NEW turkey arugula with added Peppercinis and it was soooo fresh and light. Loved every bite and highly suggest. He got the #6 but with provolone cheese melted and add avocado and omg talk about mouth watering. Their Sandwhiches are so fresh, every ingredient melts in your mouth, and they don't use too much of any one thing. Just right, we will be back again soo. Oh! I don't see what all the hoopla is all about. The subs here are OK, not great. There are many better sub shops in LA. The rolls are ordinary. For the price, there's not enough meat in the sandwich. The shop has a few tables inside and three additional tables outside. Parking can be a problem, as their lot only has room for a few cars. The staff is friendly and helpful. read more

Went in there one time with no clue what to get and the homie Michael put me onto Rayz way pastrami and turkey arugula. Changed my life for the better. Despite the wonderful reviews, the sandwiches did not live up to the hype. I got the spicy italiano and brisket pastrami rayz way. The baguette was toasted with a perfect crunch and pastrami one was good and but spicy italiano was disappointing. It tastes like any other italian sandwich, nothing special. There was too much mayo. It would've tasted so much better with some kind of chili. Each sandwich was $16-$17 which is on the expensive side. Service was great, you order at the register and they bring out the order when ready. It's also a small market so there are snacks and drink inside. There is a small outdoor patio with 4 tables. I've had some great sandwiches in New York and New Jersey so I'm always on the prowl for sandwiches. I saw a post about Corner Market which was only about a 30 minute drive away with no traffic so I headed out. Luckily the place is in a neighborhood so parking wasn't too hard to find. There are two dedicated driveway parking spots too which is a converted house to store. They are fast so you don't need to wait long and they have tables on the porch so you can eat outside but most people seemed to order to go. You place your order, wait outside and they bring your order to you. They have a set menu of 11 sandwiches to choose from. In a previous post I saw they offered a special Market Sandwich which sounded like a Poorboy. Unfortunately, the day I went it was no longer offered. I really wanted a Poorboy so I should have asked if it was possible to order the Market Sandwich. I ended up getting The Trio instead. My son and daughter had me pick up a Brisket Pastrami Rayz Way for them. The sandwiches average about $17 each but are large so enough for two meals. The kids liked their sandwiches but said since the meat sliced thin they said you can't really get the pastrami taste as well. I liked my sandwich, the roll was fresh, soft, good produce and a good serving of meats in the sandwich. Easy location to get to, good value, good sandwiches, very clean and pleasant people. Nice variety of Chips and good chocolate candies to choose from too. read more

I ordered a sandwich 45 minutes prior to arriving. Person who took my order said 20 minutes I get there and my sandwich still not ready and he's telling me it'll be another 15 minutes.minutes. My first time there and service is horrible & rude, He asked me if I want to cancel my order. instead of apologizing and giving me a discount. Delicious sandwich! We ordered the #18 . The only thing that turns me off was the wait. 30minutes! Wait for a single sandwich!! There is no excuse, busy or not you have to work on this! Customers should not wait that long. I would be back if they can improve this to 15 minutes wait and that's reasonable. This is in response to you Mr. Ray, again you are making excuses instead of making a concrete answer. I've been in a lot of sandwiches businesses and they anticipate that it can get busy. And they have built a system where wait times can be reduced especially to those in the store already. I've been a Glendale resident for almost 30 years and believe me that I'm proud that we have this type of business that's being recognized. So maybe practice a little more on how your approach should be with your customers, express some gratitude and show that you valued their feedback! Solid sandwiches being turned out here! I got the Turkey Yum Yum, a solid Sando but not the best I've had in LA. Bread was great with a nice crispness to it, ingredients were tasty and fresh, but I was hoping for just a bit more flavor to come through. I added pickles which was a plus since that gave a nice texture and crunch to the sandwich. I do enjoy classic sandwiches but was expecting just a bit more from this spot. read more

I haven't been back in a while and decided to do so this week. I'm so disappointed to say there has been a dip in quality and value. In my most recent order, the bread was a bit stale, which was particularly unfortunate as the sandwich was a tad dry, and they skimped out on veggies. For a $16 sandwich before taxes I expect way more out of my meal. Also there is no longer a lunch deal that includes a free drink with purchase. While it's not the biggest loss, it was definitely a bummer. Who doesn't love a fizzy drink with their lunch? Unfortunately, I'm not sure I'll be returning soon. Friendly and speedy service here for their sandwiches and a nice little market for snacks and some Armenian treats. I've only tried the Yum Yum turkey. It was a good size with fresh and quality ingredients. The bread is fresh, chewy, soft and comes warmed up. The free soda or water is appreciated and makes this a good value considering it's a well made sandwich. Is it the "best sandwich in town? " It's a bold claim and definitely a worthy sandwich. But I've enjoyed some good offerings from Deluca's at the Americana which are just as good and maybe better. Deluca's also offers a unique selection that is hard to find anywhere else. I'll reserve judgment until I've tried Corner Market's pastrami--which is what they seem to be known for. As far as the personal touch, Corner Market is tough to beat. If any place ever made me regret not living in Glendale, it's the Corner Market. I don't even know if I should talk about the produce and specialty foods or the sandwiches first, but let's start with the specialty foods. Anytime I am in town, I stop by to purchase Russian/Armenian staples I can't find near home. It's always a hit, never a miss. The ice creams are fresh, the produce is great (and they have some seasonal finds that I'm always happy to get my hands on!!), and the whole place is so neat and organized! (I work in healthcare, so I care about those things a LOT!) The owner, Ray, and his dad and staff are also always so sweet! They're the nicest people! Now, the sandwiches. At the risk of sounding like a fat kid, I will share that I literally day dream about their sandwiches almost daily. I mean, thank GOD I don't live in Glendale or else I would eat one every day. My fave has been anything with Mortadella... damn I am drooling as I write this. The cold mortadella, the warm mortadella, the breakfast mortadella... they are all soooooo good!!!
