A great little coffee spot! We stopped as we awaited our boat to Daufuskie Island. The omelet was delicious with the most amazing bacon I have ever eaten! I was impressed by the Hot Carmel Latte. It was rich and smooth. My husband, who is not a coffee drinker, had the black tea on ice and he loved it. What a pleasant surprise! Here's the thing, when I travel I try to avoid coffee chains. I'm staying in nearby Hilton Head and we're shopping in the area. I'm holding out for a good cuppa Joe. Enter Corner Perk. There is nothing better than a good roasted coffee bean in a properly poured cup. My wife & I walk up the door. The door knobs are from a coffee machine! Very cool We place our order and sit in a nice looking establishment. What also surprised me was the amount of coffee bean choices. There are imported beans from some far out places. Why would you want to go to a chain coffee place, spend the same money and purchase their same one selection? If you want a milder roast, corner perk has a roast. Want a darker roast? Corner Perk offers this bean as well. It's the bean as well, a coffee tree in Brazil has a different flavor bean from a bean sourced from Vietnam. A chain coffee place doesn't offer this level of sophistication. But Corner Perk is serving it up. My pour over comes to the table, man that's a mite-t-fine cuppa java! Thanks Coffee Perk. Let's get this out of the way, if your visiting Bluffton, Corner Perk is worth the visit, simply for the atmosphere and food, both of which are generally stellar. If your looking for a great coffee, this isn't it however. I've visited this place nearly every time I've been on vacation, but when I moved here at the beginning of the year, I started to come here frequently, nearly every week. Food is always pretty solid, as stated before, lots of options, very fresh, and always tasty. The environment, lots of seating, with various options ranging from indoor/outdoor, booths, tables, high tops, upper and lower levels. They also have Wi-Fi, and power outlets. The coffee is definitely the weak link. Whether it's cold brew, a latte, or americano, I've had consistently poor experiences since I've moved here. It wasn't always this way, I would have given them a 4/5 previously when I use to visit, but whether it's employee turnover or just not proper training, it's gotten bad enough I don't even go here for coffee. Some specifics so you understand what I mean...I've ordered their salted Carmel latte, they added so much salt it tasted like saltwater, no joke. I've also ordered their churro latte, and they accidentally added salt to that multiple times. Every latte I've ordered hot has very poorly made foam, just big bubbly weak foam, they don't appear to either know or care to make dense micro foam. The coffee itself is either too weak or bitter. I'd love to rate this place higher, and I think it's totally possible, but until they get the Perk part of their name right, I can't do so. read more

We stopped in and had a salad, burrito and Arnold Palmer with unsweetened tea. It was all SO GOOD!! A couple hours later I was thirsty and wishing Corner Perk was still open so that I could pop in for another drink. my husband was raving about the burrito for days. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town! read more

The service was really good here, though the coffee was not good. I have heard great things about this small coffee shop since moving to Bluffton SC, so I finally tried it with my sister. Her coffee was very watered down and my lavender honey latte tasted like I was drinking straight lavender. The food was okay, it was a typical breakfast sandwich and it came out hot (which is a good thing). Overall 5/10 for the service and sandwich. read more

Lucked into a convenient parking spot so enjoyed a latte here on the way out of Hilton Head. The place is hopping and laid out in a way that you're in everybody's way while you wait in line, to order and to get your drink items. People were friendly, espresso in the latte was good (but no skinny milks to make it extra good). I got a chocolate chip cookie to go with it but the cookie crumbled into a million pieces on opening the plastic so was a pain to eat. There is a nice shopping area behind the store but navigating the people is not fun. I'll look for "slower" paced places in the future. read more

I travel often for work in Beaufort County and this is my preferred coffee shop to the extent where I make it a point to stop here when in the area. The staff is always so warm and welcoming, the drinks are always so tasty and the shop itself is so cute. I instantly loved this place the moment I saw the door handle which is an espresso scoop. It only got better when I walked in the door. I've tried the iced chai, mocha and have had numerous cinnamon/honey lattes. All are real good. What I love most about the chai and mocha are that they're made in house. I plan to try a food item when in town next. My only complaint is the parking but after a couple drives around the circle, generally one will come open. read more

I'm sad to say that something has happened to Corner Perk's coffee and it has declined in quality exponentially. It tastes unbelievably bitter and burnt. I tried three different drinks over the span of two weeks and all of them weren't drinkable... and I'm not picky. There is essentially zero flavoring in flavored lattes and I had a flavored cold brew that honestly tasted like gasoline. I asked around and had a few people tell me they aren't fans anymore, either. I was told they have a hard time keeping a roaster and they've changed theirs a few times over the last few years. It's such a shame, this was my FAVORITE coffee shop ever! read more

So parking here is a bit tough to find I pulled into the small parking lot that I thought was for the coffee shop turns out it was for the tenants of an apartment complex. I then settled in a spot across the street. Find a spot on the street! I went there to find a delicious cup of coffee. I drink my coffee straight no cream no sugar so I need it to be flavorful and good! I opted for an ethiopian blend that I had the barista pour over. It was one of the best cups that I have ever had! I travel the country as a traveling nurse so I have been around this place did not disappoint. They place also was delightfully decorated very trendy, but the coffee was amazing! read more

I've been in the Hilton Head area for the past 4 days and have had coffee every day but the Corner Perk has been my favorite coffee so far! The barista was so sweet and her suggestion was amazing! I got the churro latte with oat milk and it was phenomenal! The atmosphere in here was great and the food looked so good, even though I wasn't able to try it. Definitely wish I could have stayed here longer! 5/5 stars read more

The menu set our expectations higher than what was delivered, but not a bad place if you just want a simple coffee or sandwich. We were disappointed that vanilla and mocha are the only sugar-free options for a latte. Beyond that, if you are diabetic, keto or for any other reason need to watch your glucose, there is nothing offered for you on the food or drink menu. I finally just ordered the veggie skillet, sans the potatoes and a mocha latte. There are definitely better places to enjoy brunch, but if you have no special dietary needs, the Corner Perk will suffice. read more

Nice selection of coffee. Definitely needs a larger cup size (that sounds weird reading it ), 12 Oz's is small fire coffee lovers! I enjoyed the coffee but was uncomfortable inside with all the people hanging out and talking, not wearing a mask. Not judging but it makes me uncomfortable. I did go outside but it was pretty cold. Ordered 2 eggs over easy they were fine but with cheap plastic ware.... Come on please Toast for $4 ridiculous. Ice tea for $3.25 for small cup mostly ice and no refills. Never again. Sorry tried the place which is close by our home. Never again. Will post this on Trip Advisor as well read more

Had lunch there today. They don't sell sodas, so I got sweet tea. It was the worst, weak like colored water and it wasn't even sweet! A diet coke would have been much better! The shrimp salad wasn't much better, a few tiny shrimp and some greens. read more

All I can say is WOW. Anywhere I go, I like to find a local coffee shop that meets the following criteria: 1) homemade syrups and sauces 2) extra-large sized drinks 3) not getting charged extra for an iced drink without ice 4) a rewards program that doesn't require spending $100 to earn a free drink 5) not being nickeled and dimed for wanting a boujee coffee with a certain milk or a certain blend of syrups or sauces 6) people who are friendly and seem to enjoy not only coffee, but people I stumbled upon the Corner Perk in my search for a local coffee shop that met the above criteria and I was not disappointed! Their homemade syrups and sauces are so tasty! They have 32-ounce sized drinks (hello iced lavender honey latte with no ice to sip on throughout the morning)! I did not get charged extra for my iced drink with no ice AND they filled it to the brim! They did not laugh at my boujee coffee requests! After signing up for their rewards program and making only one purchase, I almost had a reward! Their employees were so personable and really made the effort to get to know me and enjoyed telling me all about their awesome coffee options! I'm so grateful to have found this hidden gem of a local coffee joint-- I just hate that I found it halfway through my trip and missed out of a few days of delicious coffee! read more

I can't say how much I enjoyed visiting this coffee shop! We visited HHI for the day and stopped in Bluffton to check out this sweet coffee shop! It was by far my favorite and best tasting coffee (okay, really it was a latte) that I had during our entire trip! I had the browned sugar latte, and I'm counting down our next trip to HHI so I can visit here again! The Bacon Basil Biscuit was outstanding and totally worth it -- the roasted potatoes were so great for breakfast! The fresh fruit that my hubby ordered to go with his biscuit was SO fresh and tasty! Hi! Welcome! It's a beautiful day to be alive! How'd you sleep? Did the way I started this review make you feel warm and important? If so then this place is for you. That's exactly the kind of service and experience you will receive here. It's as if the employees start their day with 2 shots of expresso and then have their morning coffee with 3 shots of expresso. The coffee here was great and I had the big sandwich which was fantastic. Definitely a good fuel up for a big day. Just stopped in for the first time and I'm sad I didn't try the place sooner! Large menu of options for both coffee and food. I got a churro latter iced with oat milk and an iced americano for my boyfriend. The girls working the counter were super nice and helpful and even offered to grind up my bag of coffee which I really appreciated! They were pretty busy but it took them no time at all to get my order out. I'll for sure be back! read more

My sister's crab cake entree was absolutely disgusting. The crab cake was orange on the inside, it was mushy and no discernible taste of crab whatsoever. It looked like a dark brown salmon patty my mama would make with a Double Q. The shrimp and grits. Wow and not in a good way. 50 percent of the bowl was onions. Both raw (and almost raw) onions and green onions. There were FOUR shrimp that were absolutely TINY (about the size of a Wild West shrimp from Longhorn) and they had the poop STILL IN THEM. Did I mention that this cost us ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS!?!?!? I want to stress again.... Our server was great. I always feel guilty writing bad reviews but I just had to be honest. Yelp ya steered us the wrong way on this one.

Disclaimer: I live here but I'm not biased. If a place is terrible, I will say it. That being said I will say that Corner Perk is among the best that I have experienced (I have been to over 14 countries). The ambiance is perfect. The music has a folky-indie vibe, which is a great pair with the home roasted coffee and the trendy yet mature food selection. Really folks, go and see these people... but only if you want to get treated right! Today I received a discount in my email because I have visited them in the past many times. If you like great coffee and excellent food, Corner Perk is your spot! I don't drink alcohol anymore but they do have a small bar for a little "pizazz". read more

I am really old, and I remember when "coffee houses" first became very popular in the 60's; the Perk reminds me of the ambiance and just plain fun and coziness of a real coffee house. It's not just a place to get coffee, it's community. My wife and I live in Bluffton and get to the Perk at least two or three times a week for breakfast or lunch (their cranberry/pecan chicken salad sandwich is incredible!). My husband and I tried coffee and breakfast while visiting Beaufort, SC…read more We are coffee snobs, and we seek to find shops that roast their own beans, offer a variety of house made syrups, and make a quality drink with a perfect combination of those two things. We both tried coffee off of their seasonal menu - I had a 16oz iced Orange Cream latte, and my husband had a hot 16oz Cookie Butter latte. We also had the Brekkie sandwich and Avocado Toast with a fried egg and bacon. We both found our lattes to be extraordinarily sweet. Although the house made syrups had excellent flavor, they were too sweet for us. I ended up adding a third shot to my 16oz iced Orange Cream (which they did at no charge!) to dilute the sweet of the syrup. My husband is not the type to request changes to his order, so he drank his coffee as is (although he could have benefited from an extra shot in his coffee as well). If you are someone looking for a less sweet option, I would check with the barista before ordering a normal amount of syrup at this coffee shop. I definitely would have benefited from asking for 1/2 sweet. Also, the 16oz iced and 24oz iced do not have a difference in coffee shot amount. Rather, the 24oz adds more milk to your latte. Just a warning for those who like more than two shots and think that's what they're getting by ordering the larger cup. The ambience inside is adorable. It matches its name perfectly.

We were headed out of Beaufort, SC, and we needed a late lunch…read more Mameem & Maudie was an excellent stop! I had a chicken salad sandwich on sourdough, and my husband enjoyed a Reuben sandwich. We also shared a chocolate chip cookie dough shake and a praline (made in house!!). We would recommend this spot!
